Everything listed below is the work of Zoot1. He created the original wipe script for the N7100 and I just modified it for the Sprint Variant SPH-L900. Some have asked for it, so here it is. I take no responsibility if you brick it nor will I support this script! It's simple enough!
Original Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983489
zoot1's original thread said:
There are 4 Scripts:
1) MegaWipe
2) SuperWipe
3) SimpleWipe
4) Factory Reset
All 4 serve different purposes.
Megawipe: Use this zip to completely format your phone. It will delete everything in your phone and will bring it to bare bones. After it install any ROM for a fresh experience without any conflicts with in the frame work. It deletes the Data, Cache, System and Preload partitions of your internal memory. So Beware!
SuperWipe: This is a simple factory reset and you can use it to move from one ROM to another without bothering about framework conflicts. It deletes the Data Folders and Cache partitions of your internal memory. Will not affect the Internal SD card.
Factory Reset: Use it to do a Factory Reset, which wipes your Data partition, Cache Partition and Dalvik Cache. It will delete everything on your Internal SDcard.
SimpleWipe: A simple wipe is as the name suggests a Simple Cache and Dalvik wipe. You can use it to clear the said partitions before updating to a newer version of your ROM. Also, You can use it before you have flash a new ROM.
Also, I have read questions on how to completely wipe the phone..the MegaWipe zip will do it for you..just make sure you have a ROM to install on the ExtSdcard when you use it..

A bit confused as you say:
Requirements: You need to have
1. TWRP Recovery installed
How to use:
Just copy the required zip to your External SDcard and reboot into CWM recovery. Install the zip and you are good to go!
So can you use either recovery or just one or the other?
And a question, will this work with the GS3?

Hello
Is there a variant of this for the Sprint Galaxy S3/III SPH-L710 or do you know where I can find it? If not, can another variant work?
Hello everyone,
I recently flashed a custom ROM via CWM recovery. The ROM is Rootbox (thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2083922). I followed all the instructions given on the thread like Wiping data/factory resetting through CWM but I still am experiencing problems.
Okay so, I flashed gapps also and ROM worked smoothly and no problem at all. When I connected my mobile to laptop then I saw 5gb free of 12gb only. Obviously, ROM can't take space up to 5gb and when I had previous ROM, it had 5gb free at that time and yes, I did wipe data/factory reset. I can't find any files that were in my previous ROM in this Rootbox ROM even when connected to my laptop but when I went to recovery and tried installing a zip from CWM then I saw my files there that I had in my previous ROM but I can't say that if they were only folders or if they had actual files in it because I can't see .mp3 files or pictures via CWM. Please help me, I don't wanna revert back to stock.
Thank you!

Chances are you've fallen into the /0 folder trap...
Google added this with the the aosp builds for user switching. Not wiping properly can make these folders replicate and take up loads of space.
Whenever I flash a new rom I always wipe my internal sd. Prevents multiple files getting out of hand and it's great to have a fresh start.

thanks for your help...
If you're on any CM based rom and want to go back to Stock (especially to an earlier Android version) you need to wipe everything in order to work correctly.
Flash via flashtool and just leave everything checked as is.

If you backed up using cwm, only the app "Rom manager" will allow you to see your backups. And you are only able to locate and transfer them to your PC if you have the paid version of Rom Manager. If you want to go back to stock using flashtool, unfortunately you will lose your files as a SD card wipe is mandatory thru flash tool.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR HELP..
PS. i pressed thanks button..
Ok so I actually have some really serious problems that I need some help with fast.
My details so you can help me with the following
*Running DN3 3.2 ROM rooted
*MJ5 new bootloader
*TWRP(at the moment)
*AGNi kernel
Soooo, here are the problems I encounter
I cant find a proper way to swap internal with external sd card. Now hear this super strange problem. Both with the script on this forum and the setting on AGNi control app DO INDEED swap the int with the ext sd card but theres a catch. Neither of them can swap the sdcard0/Android/obb(which is the folder I wanna swap -.-')but they swap the rest of the mount point! Soooo strange. As a result theres no space recover by applying this method and the obb folder still stays at int storage.
I really hate MTP on 4.3 Is there any way to enable the freaking USB Mass Storage?
Whenever I move an app to the sd card(settings/manage applications)and I reboot, after the reboot the app is lost and it says "App not installed" whenever I click its icon. This is the situation even after rebooting, I cannot move the app back to internal storage and as a result I have to uninstall and reinstall the app which leads to loss of data.(Note that I'm using a 32GB class 10 sd card)
I cannot make a proper backup and/or make a proper restore. I have tried both latest Philz and latest TWRP, the backup takes around an hour to do(REAALLLYYY long...)and then if I try to restore it says "Restore failed" on both recoveries.(On Philz it said md5 mismatch or something similar and on TWRP it said just restore failed)My only theory is that because I was trying to install a 4.4.2 ROM after making a backup and the recoveries were simply incompatible with KitKat, but other than that I don't understand why this happens.
Sorry for so long post but I really need help here. Thanks in advance!
Don't use the latest version of philz, it takes very long to boot the Rom for the first time which makes one get scared. Use version 5 Philz. After you wipe dalwik cache , go to mounts and format sd card and external card(take backup) then flash the Rom and reboot.
I flashed dn3 v 3.2 with cwm which ended up stucking at boot screen. Then I was told to use philz 5,now it works the works like charm. If I was you now I would flash the stock rom (unroot ) then root and flash dn3. Keep the stock kernel which comes with the rom. I didn't flashed mj5 boot loader instead I flashed Dr ketan's Wi-Fi patch. I had problem switching on Wi-Fi. Hope you get your problem resolved this is an amazing rom!

Hi NickVXD, I faced the same and was very disturbed, but finally it worked, the obb is swaped. I'm also using Agni latest.
What I did
1st I disabled the option from agni control app
Then rebooted
Then went to CWM
Flash the latest script of mattiadj, this one
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ivl678c67r7z57g/extsd2internalsd_fat32_gs3_8.zip
..and the obb folder is swaped.
Regarding Proper Backup & Restore
During a restore, from CWM misc nandroid settings, uncheck md5 checksum
Then restore.
It'll restore.
Hope it helps.

@nitol Thanks a lot for the obb solution, will check it later and report back. The problem with CWM isn't getting rid of the md5sum but to find a way to make the backup not corrupted. I had made a backup and then when I restored it said md5mismatch. So I removed md5sum check from settings and when the restore was done, I rebooted and phone stuck at note 2 screen. So the problem is the corrupted backup and not the md5. Also backup took 50-55 minutes to finish. Is that normal?? Thanks again.

So I went hunting around for a new rom and found the Alliance Rom which I though gave me the best of two worlds. Having a 32gb sd I thought I would rip the files out of the TWRP and put them onto my HDD on PC for safe keeping so I do not have to keep the SD card clogged and then when needed just download them back into the TWRP folder on my phone. Its not having it.
When I put either folder back into TWRP it will not let me restore from the rom folders. Is there any way of converting the folders into installation folders so I can re-install them another way???
Any help would be appreciated as I have a useless phone sat here at the moment..
Do your TWRP backups maintain the path like this example: /storage/extSdCard/TWRP/BACKUPS/117xxxxx(unique serial)/YYYY-MM-DD(Individual Backup Folder)??
IOW, best to save the TWRP folder on PC rather than individual backups. Do you still have the TWRP folder path on extSdCard? If not, TWRP backup a small limited backup to extSdCard to recreate the folder with your unique serial and drop the backups in the right location so TWRP will see it next time.

Firstly many thanks for the help. I got the CM backup back on and its all good. I think there was an issue with my SD card also as I had to do a full clean as it was coming up with errors.
And while you are here.. Can I install the Alliance rom? I heard something about bob 4.. Don't even know what that is lol...

You can flash that if you flash a TW 5.1.1 custom kernel after the ROM zip.
Example would be Beastmode, AEL, Emotion or Plasma kernel.
Coming from CM you're already aware that clean install is best.

Sorry to sound like and idiot but what is a TW 5.1.1. custom kernel.. And where do I get it from.. Also I think I'm in the wrong forum lol .. I have the 910F.. (uk).. Again thanks for all the help and sorry to sound like an idiot.. but you know what they say.. If you dont ask you dont get.. :good:
Yeah, wrong forum. TW is touchwiz kernel. The Android 5.1.1 kernel had to be exploited for root. So you could flash any lollipop ROM for your model with the exploited kernel from your development forum.
