Hello folks,
My uncle brings me a t-mobile Galaxy S3 t999 with android 4.3 (t999uvuenc2) phone from USA to Iran. BUT as you guess its locked to t-mobile sims. So the question is, how to unlock it to use sim cards available in iran?
I've already tried some methods, like *#197328640# and no success gained!
What is the easiest and cheapest way to unlock it?
Can anyone share his knowledge with me or point to the tutorial if available? Thanks...
Wrong forum, this is for the i9300 only. Report your own post and ask a moderator to move it for you.

Hey guys,
Sorry if this question has been asked over and over already. I tried searching but cant seem to find a definite answer.
Is there a way to SIM Unlock the TELUS SGH-T989D? I already tried the unlockers on the market, including the ones that need Root, but they arent working.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance.
PS. For Telus S2X owners, how did you sim unlock your phone? (which website did you use to get unlock code)
i know that the t-mobile version which i think is in the same boat, needs an unlock code that you have to get from your carrier or a website. I used a unlocked website cellunlock.net and use the discount code android50.
i also did my research and this was the only answer i could find
Obviously you simply need a unlocking code to unlock this phone. I unlocked it on the spot from a phone store that was not from telus but all he did was that he made a phone call to request for a code.
AT&T skyrocket phone users have trouble unlocking their phones because AT&T claims that their phones are specifically designed for their carrier only which I think is probably untrue.
Anyway, I did unlock my LG G2X using a site called unlockthatphone.com at $15. Try that site. Also, I think it is a good idea to call Telus as well directly.
Pickup the phone dial 611. Ask t-mobile.. Tell them your going somewhere outside the country and you need unlock code.. It should arrive 3 to 7 days in your email you give them.

Thanks guys. I just went ahead and got the unlock code from a website for $20.
Hello there,
I'm from México, and there's an online company that's selling the Galaxy Note 3 from T-mobile (the n900T) unlocked to use it with any Mexican carrier. I have a few concerns though. He claims that he needs to open the package to introduce a code and unlock the device, and that it's a permanent unlock.
1) Is this legal?
2) Will I have any trouble rooting and installing different roms (will the phone lock to T-mobile carrier)?
3) Aside from the T-mobile logo, is there any difference from the N9005?
Thanks!
I don't see why that would be illegal as long as it's unlocked and paid for. The N900T should work with any GSM carrier in the world after unlock/regionlock unlock.

Youll probably have to buy an unlock code online.

Hey, I'm new so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but I need help.
So I traded a phone with someone who gave me a locked T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3. He told me it was locked and at first I declined the deal. But then I read about how easy it was to unlock (using purchased unlock codes) but now I can't seem to find the screen that prompts you to enter the information.
I have an active Metro PCS sim card and I tried using that and restoring the phone but through the whole process it never brings me to the "Sim Network Unlock Pin" screen. Does anyone know how to get there??
(PS, I apologize if this is in the wrong area or section. I'm just desperate for help)
Hi,
Your device has its own section here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-tmobile
The general and Q&A sections have many great threads at the top, stuck with a thumb tack symbol... And you can ask for help in the Q&A section. :good:
This is definitely not the section to ask for device help.
Cheers,
Darth

MetroPCS operates on the T-Mobile network and doesn't require being unlocked, IIRC. What you'll want to do is borrow a friend's AT&T or Verizon LTE SIM and the screen will just appear on boot. There's another way to get to it via dialer shortcut codes, but I don't recall what it is.
Hope that helps.

Like the other member pointed out if you were to put a ATT sim in the phone and boot up it would ask for the unlock code.
You cannot use a GSM Phone (ATT & TMO are GSM) on Verizon which is CDMA.
That said, this thread has gotten its answer so
.............. THREAD CLOSED....................
Hello everyone!
I was just wondering if there were any guides on sim unlocking a S6 from Bell (a do it yourself)?
I remember unlocking an older samsung phone myself following a guide, but that was a long time ago..
If anyone has unlocked their S6 before or can give me any guides to unlocking it, that would be great!
If paying for an unlock code online is the only way to do it, please share where you bought your code from if possible.
Thanks for the help!
Daniel
