One of two reasons
1. Have you put the data at the right place? should be /sdcard/gameloft
that refers to the SGS2's internal memory, not the actual removable sdcard
2. The data is corrupt or needs an update
you need to put the data to /sdcard/gameloft/games/Gloft????. The question marks is the shortform of the game for example Asphalt 6 is "GloftA6HP" and UNO is "GloftUNOG". Try your luck.
Thank's for reply all......
to viva.fidel: i put to this directory: /sdcard/gameloft/games....(because i see all the game folder is there.... in SGS2's internal memory.
to ghkoo:maybe bcoz of that....try it....
any suggestion where can find the HD games?
hi,
i recently got the xperia play for christmas and i want to play my psone games on it. so i got the PSXperia tool but requires to get a .apk and .zpak files, which are in the internal memory, which i cannot access through windows explorer. is there a tool that allows me to access this? its an unrooted phone, on 2.3.4
thank you
AFAIK none of the instructions @ https://github.com/yifanlu/PSXperia/wiki require you to access the internal memory.
Urrr...not on the website...on the actual application though
"You need to extract some files from the Crash bandicoot apk that came with your Xperia Play
The APK is either com.sony.playstationblahblahblah.apk or com.sony.playstation.blahblahblah.apk in the system/app folder of your android phone's INTERNAL MEMORY"
So I can get the ZPAK from the SD card, however I cannot get the APK. Help?
You should be able to use adb pull to get it
(Do a temp root with zergRush if you have to).
Sorry Im a noob could you explain what those are and how you do it?

Download Astro File Manager from the Android Market. Launch the app and find the directory where the APK file is located, which is in "/system/app".
Press down on the APK file and tap on "copy". Then go back to your SD card and paste it there.
^^ This was the fastest way I was able to get that APK file.
This may be a stupid question.. I did a little search and didnt see anything specific to the kindle.
But I've noticed over time from trying out programs, adding new stuff, removing old stuff. That my " sdcard " meaning.. the files you see with the USB cable. is VERY cluttered with random stuff from apps i have long since removed..
Is there a way to clean this out? I also noticed there's 2, ext and int sdcard directories. Is this cleaned up when you do the CWM factory wipes cache wipes etc..
or does it need to be cleaned up manually... I've seen a thread or two for other devices which say to just format it, and the apps will just replace what is needed, is this the case for the kindle fire aswell?
plus i have the stock kindle apps like audible and pulse frozen, is it safe to also remove those directories or will it cause issues?
I'm on the verge of just flashing the cm7 barebones ROM for now until cm9 is stable and running correctly, but i wanted to get this question answered before i did anything else.
Any help will be greatly appreciated! I understand this is likely a dumb question, but I'd rather ask and sound dumb, than brick my kindle on accident
thanks guys!
you can totally delete all the data that your not useing anymore from uninstalled apps and what not.. use a file explorer like es or root explorer and clean it up.. you wont brick anything worst case if you delete something on accident that is still instaled you will have to reinstall the app so make sure its junk
Edit: and for the frozen apps you can delete that too.. only issue is if you unfreeze for some reason the apps will FC

thanks!
I played around after i knew my kindle wouldn't blow up, and it turns out if i delete a folder still in use, it gets replaced upon reboot anyway.
Now i have a freshly cleaned SD, and i finally flashed ICS! thanks a ton.
Do all games get installed to sd? I had contract killer zombies, six guns, shreck cart, asphalt 6 and a couple others that needed aditonal downloads. I cant find the files for the games anywhere. Is it safe to just delete all the files on the sd and will the games I still have be affected?

Any apps installed on your sdcard can be found in the "sdcard/Android/data" folder
I don't see them there at least not all of them dead space isn't there and neither is uno. I'm looking for the additional data that Cretan games download.contract killer zombies needed like another 250 Mb when I installed it and when I uninstalled it I didn't get that 250 back its still on there somewhere

I don't know what to tell you. I have Dead Space and it's folder is in /Android/data. Are you looking for an apk or a folder?

Before you do anything crazy...What exactly are you trying to accomplish with finding these files? Are you trying to free up space? If that's the case, check your .Trashes folder. There may be files in there that still haven't been deleted. That's happened to me before.
The 250Mb that Dead Space downloads goes in the com.eagames.deadspace folder located in /Android/data. If you uninstalled it, it will be temporarily moved to the .Trashes folder (I think).

I don't know what else to tell you. I have a com.eagames.deadspace folder and a .trashes folder that I sometimes have to empty and they're both on my sdcard.
I guess the .trashes folder could be a product of using a Mac to mount my sdcard but I don't use Windows so I can't say for sure. Any folder with a "." in front is hidden and cannot be seen by some file browsers like ES File Explorer. For that you need Root Explorer or set your computer to show hidden files. Check it out.
I can't imagine why a certain Dead Space game folder would be installed in a certain location on one device and not the other. Maybe you're missing something.
You can delete whatever you want from your sdcard but make sure to copy it to your computer first in case you need to put something back.

Please help! Today I installed Hamilton’s Adventure THD game. When I launched the app it started to "download assets". It took almost 2 hours to download over WiFi. I have around 24Mbps connection. I thought that's ok because it is a big game. I have played the game, but later I went to sdcard\Android\data to see how big it is, and there was nothing there. The folder in which the files are supposed to be in is empty! I uninstalled the game and installed it back again to see will it download the data files again, but it doesn't. Everything works.
My question is:
1.Where did the app save the downloaded files? They are nowhere to be found.
2.How to erase the downloaded files and how to find them?
3.Is there an app which can help me?
4.Can app modify system phone files and screw something up, and copy files somewhere where I can't see them?
5.If nothing works will a factory reset (hard reset) erase these files where ever they are or not?
My device is NOT rooted.
Thank You in advance for Your help!
File/folder could be hidden, did try to check your file explorer app to show hidden files?

Yes. I'm using File Manager which shows hidden files and folders. I have searched the entire sdcard and phones system files. Nowhere to be found a single trace of data files...
Please help!
I am currently running Android AOKP 4.2.2 and I noticed, anytime I save a folder which has an .OBB file, the game doesn't recognize it. Another issue I was having and I thought I was going crazy but I guess it's an issue with the Phone/ROM, is that after certain time, the folder itself would disappear and the game would still be installed.
I downloaded Crazy Taxi and Monopoly Millionaire and neither of the games recognizes the OBB folder in my SD card.
Current location: Internal Storage\Android\Obb\GAME FOLDER WITH OBB
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Are these games that you got legitimately? Because if these are games you pirated, we can't help you.
