So I recently upgraded to CM11 M6 and I've noticed an odd problem. When people message me on hangouts if the app isn't open, I don't get a notification on the phone at all. Then when I open the app I have to scroll through the ENTIRE conversation I've had message by message and it does the animation for each message. This means if I've been talking to somebody for an hour or so I have to scroll for like 5 minutes on my phone to get to the latest message. Anyone have any similar issues or know of a fix? This is only a problem for chat type messages, SMS comes in no problem
What I've tried:
Uninstalling updates from hangouts and google play services then reinstalling hangouts
Removing google account and readding it
EDIT: I think i've found the fix.
remove all phone entries from https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions
Removed the google account from my phone.
reboot
readd google account to phone
SUCCESS!

Is anyone else having problems deleting voicemails in Google Voice? I delete them, but they show up again in my inbox a few minutes later. I've even gone as far as deleting them from the trash on the desktop version of voice, yet they still won't go away. Any idea what's going on?
Same thing is happening on my brother's Nexus 4. Once deleted, they reappear a few minutes later. When you try to delete them again, the "delete" option is replaced with "undelete", creating a never-ending loop of reappearing messages.
That happens now on every device I have the Google Voice APK installed on. While one is on, the others are powered off. I clear out the V/M and texts on the one device, turn on the other device days later and it still pulls down all the texts/voicemails I've already deleted. The only way to get rid of them is by clearing data on the APP
AFAIK the only way to delete Google Voice items is to go into the Google Voice website (not via an app) via a web browser and delete them there.
I am not exactly sure when this started happening but lately I cannot get any app to authorize my account on facebook. For example, I installed sycn.me and when I try to use it, it asks me to login and after logging in, I get a prompt with all the permission details and there is OK and Cancel button but I cannot click on either one. I tried disabling the Facebook app but even the web popup has same issue. I have tried several different apps that rely on facebook permissions and all have same issue with the popup. The apps that have already been authorized, work without an issue. So I don't think that it's an issue with authorization but the authorization detail popup.
Does anybody has any solution for this?
I have a Verizon LG G3 running stock/rooted 4.4.2.
Today, for the 2nd time, I started receiving the unfortunately, the android.process.acore has stopped error It pretty much just constantly pops up, non stop.
Last time a few months back, I fixed it with a factory reset (annoying).
Today, it started again. I tried clearing contacts and contacts storage and google service framework, but none of that helped.
Wound up doing another factory reset.
This time, it was working fine until I added an exchange account to sync calendar and email and then I started getting the error again. I don't think that was the trigger though because of what else I figured out.
It appears as if I uninstall facebook, the error goes away. I tried uninstalling facebook, clearing contacts and contacts storage and then reinstalling, but it starts again once it gets reinstalled.
I've done this back and forth enough times now that it's clearly being caused by the facebook install. It starts as soon as I log into facebook after I install it.
I guess at least it's nice to know I can uninstall facebook and I'm good, but I want to use the facebook app still.
So now what?
I have the same problem but it's with WeChat.
Here's something you can try.
I went into Phone --> Settings and select only to display contacts from Gmail. It stopped error.
Hi pplz,
I'm currently on s.ROM but this problem has occurred in prior tried ROMs too.
I seem to get no notification for wechat incoming msg and even incoming voice or video calls. I only know this because friends have notified me and waiting for a reply via WhatsApp. I then proceed to open Wechat and behold I see multiple msgs waiting and the odd call missed.
I check to see if Wechat is running apps almost every time I reboot and it is with its services running. So what's the problem here?
I also get a similar problem with google play app update notifications... They never appear until I open Google play itself and look in My apps or when I reboot the phone then the notifications I get after the system has loaded.
So is this a problem with the app/gcm services they use? As WhatsApp and telegram runs perfectly.
I Xposed running with boot manager, greenify and amplify, but I have not selected any of these apps to touch the msging or google play apps.
I had the same problem prior to using Xposed FYI.
Any suggestion on what I could do? Or diagnose the problem.
Tks in advance.
Seem to come across a few few bugs since updating OTA yesterday.
1. Play Store just not opening on the watch. Previously it would say no network. After factory resetting again it says: error while retrieving information from server rh-01
2. Google assistant. Trying to message people in my contacts by saying their name not working very well. The same contacts that worked flawlessly previously don't work anymore. As I say my request, it all gets typed out word for word, just as I said. These match up to the way the contacts are written out, but google assistant repeatedly just asks: To Whom?
3. Watch vibrates but no notification seen till I swipe up. Otherwise I have no idea that there has been a notification.
4. On incoming notifications such as whatsapp, I don't always have a reply button available. Sometimes it decides I can reply, sometimes there's just no option at all.
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance
Does your google assistant speak? I can't seem to make it speak when talking to it. It does reply only on screen with text.
