The last two days I can't update apps from the Play Store, I can search for an app and download it but I can't load up my apps and then update them.
Have tried DN3 (on this I can load my apps but not update), Jedi X20 & W03 SlimRom, all with full clean installs
Any help appreciated

Sounds like broken market links. Would I be right in saying these apps have been restored using something like titanium backup or my backup pro?
try uploading and also check auto upload on wifi
plus restart phone by the time your downloads are in queue
it happen some times due to the broken market links but

I recently tried out CM 7.1 and to my surprise the "Gallery 3D by Rayman50" force installed itself after i launched the market, now i cant remove it anymore. I went back to my previous rom (2.3.4 stock tmobile rooted) I did a fresh install ,wiped all system data, cache,etc... and as soon as i sign into market on the stock 2.3.4 rooted rom, the app is back on and installed. I even disabled auto synch and auto back up to prevent the install but it hasn't helped. I had the stock 2.3.4 rooted rom before and didnt have the issue, it started all after installing CM 7.1 a few days ago. Anyone else having this problem?
thanks
Not per se, but I'd guess that this is somehow connected to backing up your settings to your google account. So it's probably still set for automatic download (had this with different apps before).
I'd just let all apps install automatically via the android market and then uninstall it with titanium backup. When your device next syncs with your google account, it should remove the 3d gallery so this won't happen again. (You'd obviously have to activate auto-backup again for this to work)

The OP said nothing about jellybean, and from your other posts seems you're post-padding.
OK i have a strange issue with market 3.4.4 for which i can't localize the cause.
The effect is that "market stops working" when clicking an application to open the details page...searching for apps works ok.
If i uninstall updates (settings - apps), it reverts to 3.3.12 which works fine. Eventually it updates itself back to 3.4.4 and same issues occur.
I have this effect on both AOKP b21 and ARHD 2.1.4, as soon as i install ANY kind of themed apps (nitroz's or TP's rootzwiki individual mods).
I have a fresh install (wipe, superwipe, manual wipe, the hell with it, clear dalvik, cache, everything) of ARHD 2.1.4...installed hoolm's circle battery mod and ****ed up the market eventually. I previously tried Nitroz's v3.6 on both ARHD and AOKP and the same problem occurs.
What the hell is going on?
What's the chance that 3 different devs make the same mistake and mess up framework or something?!
Have you tried deleting Market 3.4.4 cache and data after the update?
Have you deleted any system apps? I noticed that if I remove NFC, Market crashes.
I've been having a problem with 3.4.4 also. The market works but my video tab in the main page disappears. Plus a couple of apps also say that they're not compatible with my phone. Like hexsyn, Facebook, friencaster...I've reverted back to older versions and cleared data and cache. Nothing works

i just got pissed off big time right now since market crashes AGAIN after last night worked fine!!!! I didn't do anything to the phone except airplane mode on/off overnight....
i'm running AOKP M3 with stock kernel...for 2 days now and had no issues...today morning market stops all of a sudden...wtf? don't remember when i removed NFC, i suppose right after installing M3 before yst-day?
i actually wanted to install ROMManager to backup my stuff damn....guess CWM is the way but no need to backup now since market is f0cked ...

did all possible permutations, believe me
i'm not usually posting at the first sign of issues....problem is now i want to install aLogCat to check the logs but i can't get it from the market, damn
Damn!!! NFC is the root of all problems...
i manually copied it over from the ROM package to /system/app, rebooted and now market works fine....
THanks @jhericurls!
Anyone have this happening on their glide?
I tried all of the following:
- clear data
- clear cache
- wipe cache on boot screen
- delete and reinstall the apk.
- 3G only instead of Wifi.
When I reset everything, all works fine until I try to update an app and that's when the FC's begin
The google play apk I have is v3.5.15
Is this what you guys have as well?
I'm seeing few other posts on other forums, but no solutions yet.

Try reselecting your Language in Settings > Language and Keyboard, after re-selecting, a media scan should occur, then try launching Market Play Store
no luck.
Damn that sucks bro. I had 3 updates and i updated with no problem. On both my KF and Evo 4G.
What rom are you using?

okay last one that i think worked on me before:
- turn off internet first, then uninstall updates on Play store
- reselect language again,
- turn data/wifi on back, wait for Market to update to Play store
I'm using Stock Rogers ROM but the phone is rooted.
I've had quite a few calls missed recently (doesn't even ring), so i think i think i think I'm gonna give it a factory reset.
maybe take a gander and some of the new custom roms out there now as well.
Wow that was painful...
Did a factory reset and GPlay still FC's
Did a full factory reset + Wipe USB and SDCard storage and GPlay still FC's (v3.5.15)
I now have found a tool that allows me to download APK's from Gplay web site and load them manually onto my phone, until Google can fix their latest version of Gplay which has affected others as well.

I flashed back to Rogers Stock a few days back to replicate your issue, but until now, my Play Store is still at v3.4.7 and no FCs. I am still investigating for I got this one before but solved it with just uninstalling updates and re-updating...

Cool how do you do this? I have a cousin of mine that has the HP touch pad with Cynagen Mod installed on it but when he goes to the store a lot of apps say not available for you're device. So then he asks me to get them and backup my app with Astro and then send him the apk. If he used the tool you use he would not need my help.

Really enjoying my (problem free) Nexus 7 2013, but stock Android has some missing features compared to CM10 that is on my phone. So last night I installed CM 10.2 (8/24), and 8/13 gapps for android 4.3. Also put in a custom kernel (bulletproof). Everything set up, and then part way through installing all my apps, google play stopped with a 920 error on all the rest of the apps, and refused to do anything more.
Redownloaded both CM 10 and gapps, erased, reflashed (no custom kernel this time), same error 920 partway through the downloads.
A new CM10.2 build (8/26) was available this morning, so downloaded that, redownloaded the gapps again, and flashed. Almost all of the apps got downloaded this time, although a few had an error 923 (manually downloaded those without additional issue right away). But right at the end of the auto downloads, the play store crashed (application unexpectedly closed), and when I went back to it, error 920s again.
Some research online lead to a few possibilities:

Cleared cache on play store and play services. No help.
Titanium Backup won't find my old backups, despite walking through the instructions at the CM10.2 thread. So I can't restore the Android ID as someone suggested.
At one point I completely removed my google account, the data in the play store app, the download manager, and play services. That worked, sort of - I could download apps without error 920, but it decided that all of my previously installed apps were installed from somewhere other than the play store, so to get them back to normal state required un/reinstalling all of them. I started over instead.

This has a very detailed fix, that involves installing an updated version of the play store and a different play account. But I was already on the latest version of the play store (tried installing the same apk over top, but it didn't make any difference), and the secondary google account worked to download things, but didn't fix the first one.

While writing this post, I saw the suggestion in the s3 thread to wipe cache / dalvik and repair permissions from recovery. Tried it as a last resort, and suddenly I have full functionality again. Not sure why that fixed it, when I had done those steps as part of the install, but there you go.
Thought I would go ahead and post this as fixed in case anyone else had the same issue. All the results I found searching for this problem were for other devices, or other errors for this device. Hopefully my story and link collection will be useful to someone else.
I just got my Nexus 7 (2013), "N7b" for short?, anyway, when I started it and I began downloading all my apps, it shipped about 50 with error 920. Then it started getting them all. After that it seemed episodic. For a while they would update, for a while they would error.
I also updated the apps on some of my other devices and was also getting an occasional error downloading the apps. So, i think this is a problem with google's server, not our apps or ROMs.
Works with GNex as well.

Thanks. This worked for me and my Galaxy Nexus after I clean flashed AOKP MR-1 Milestone 2, and got the errors as my apps were downloading again.
Worked for Galaxy Tab 2!
This also worked for my Galaxy Tab 2 running CM10.2. Thanks for the post.
Hi,
I'm having problems installing the Facebook, Messenger, and Amazon Kindle apps from Google Play Store after switching to Open Beta 8 (Nougat) and doing a clean wipe. It basically hangs at "downloading" (doesn't download anything), then gives me the error 492. Is anybody else seeing this (or not seeing it)? Installation from Titanium backup works, but then when I try to upgrade, I get the same results.
Thanks.

Thanks, I forgot to mention that I tried the all the usual clear cache/downgrade Play Store/Play Services advices. At this point I am mostly wondering if it's an issue of the Open Beta 8. I.e. do other people on that ROM see the same problem or not?

No, I tried two different WiFi networks and my carrier's network (T-mobile US), with same results. All other apps work. Wiped and installed again (from Google backup), same apps causing problems.

i have not had this issue when i clean flashed the beta8 build from a 100% stock setup. have you wiped data and internal storage too before installing 7.0?
stuff like this happened to me a long time ago, and it was usually caused by some data left over from a previous rom where the problematic apps had been installed

Success, I repeated everything to reset the phone, skipped installing from Google backup and copying back the old Internal Storage directory, and now everything installs just fine. Thanks again, bombaglad.
