[Q] Not able to connect to computer at all?

Hey everyone, I'm having a problem where I cannot connect to my computer at all. I have tried installing all the drivers and I even reset my phone back to stock. Nothing is working. I cannot even connect to Odin. Can anybody help? Currently running stock touchwiz on Telus i747. Cannot connect to windows 7 or Mac.
Things I have tried:
Resetting phone to full stock
Reinstalling drivers
Reinstalling Kies
Trying different roms
Trying different cables
Trying different computers
I will connect the phone to the computer and nothing will show up at all. The computer just isn't recognizing it, yet it charges.

Not right now. I reset the whole thing to see if that would work and I still can't connect. Should I root it again?

It has nothing to do with rooting.
If your on stock, have you tried installing Kies?
Edit your original post to what steps you have done as your problem is too vague.

Try to uninstall the drivers you already have.(im pretty sure the prograam is like samsung mobile something). then dowlload samsung kies and it should install the drivers for you! then if you still are running in to problems you should click troubleshoot with Kies and it should work fine because its gonna reinstall the drivers again...
just wondering when u insert ur phone does it make a sound to ur computer does it say anything is connected ?

I tried that. Nothing is working. And nothing happens. No sound or anything.

Have you tried accessing your phone through the AirDroid app? It allows you to upload and manage your files from your Web browser. It's not a fix to your problem but it could help in the immediate future.

Is the cable/USB port working? Onetime I struggled for an hour, just to realise that it wasn't properly plunged in.

Issue w/ android file transfer yet again since update

I'm having an issue with my Note2 staying connected to my Mac computer using AFT. It keeps saying that if my screen is locked to unlocked it and reconnect my device. This happens every time theres an update. This is getting really frustrating with android. I mainly use AFT to back up my files in case my phone gets messed up. Any ideas besides airdroid? I didn't care for airdroid. Just showed me my files but it was like pulling teeth to back them up. Thanks in advance

Im not familiar with macs.. but usuaally on PC I'd recommend uninstalling anything samsung or related to your phone on your computer and reinstalling. Is the software Samsung or Apple?

Oh and for a temporary fix try Samba file sharing. It basically sets your sd as a windows share that should be accesible from your mac.

Well i am new here so please what type of details you need..?

When you plug it in, does anything happen? Does it make a sound from the computer?
Does it show anything in Device Manager?
Are you using the Stock usb cable? Have you tried other cables? Tried all usb ports on the PC?
Have you tried on a different pc?
Wasn't trying to be rude, it just helps us help you when you include any details that you can think of. There can often be several causes to a given issue so it helps us narrow it down early on.
As for your current problem, are you also open to alternatives? Many if us use a wireless transfer app so we don't have to bother plugging in when we want to move a file.
I use FTP Server by Peter Pariet. Very lightweight, not a lot of features, but it does it's job quite well. Just a thought.

Yeah when i plug it in it does makes a sound.. but there is no option coming in my phone about the usb storage.. i used many wires.. i used all the usb ports.. everything.. but i cant find the solution.. but there is an indication of sound when i connect my phone to computer in any of the usb ports..

Sounds like a driver problem. Uninstall then reinstall driver pkg. Reboot, plug in phone and go to device manager. Does it show up there? If it does, or if it shows as unknown, rightclick on it and reinstall drivers from there. Try connecting again.

I agree it sounds like a driver issue. If it still doesn't connect after you re-install, try shutting down your phone and pulling the battery for a few minutes. I had this problem once and this seemed to do the trick.

Gotta be patient man. We don't live here and don't always make it on every day, especially right when people want us to fix their problems. Not tryin to be rude to you, but you should give at a minimum, 24 hours before bumping your question.
I'm assuming you're asking about the driver reinstall, not how to pull the battery?
Uninstall driver pkg.
Plug in and open device manager.
Right click on the device and choose uninstall drivers
Reboot
Reinstall driver pkg
Plug in and try again.

This is a Q and A thread about the Kitkat based NoleKat rom for T210(R).
Please post any questions you may have about the rom here in this thread. I will do my best to answer.
Here are a few of the common questions:
Q: Does ART work?
A: No, this is a deodexed rom (ART requires Odexed). The option has also been hidden by Samsung.
Q: Why doesn't the boot animation display?
A: Boot animation works fine for some and doesn't display for others. This is due to the difference in hardware versions (likely due to different manufacturing dates). We have tried to fix this in the kernel, but it caused other (worse) issues.
Q: Why can't I connect to wifi and wifi settings causes black screen?
A: I have no idea why some (very few) devices have these issues. If your device has these issues, I am sorry, but I don't know how to fix it.
Q: Does this rom support OTG?
A: No, it is a hardware limitation. The T210(R) will never have OTG.

Can u make a framework without the gr8nole button.. I want my tab to look stock and that sticks out like a sore thumb

I have the same issue as he does along with not wanting the button in the power menu. I think people don't reboot enough to notice the WiFi deleting

Will you fix the tv casting not connecting? Tab 3 cannot detect tv?

I dont have a problem with wifi passwords. Download an app that allowes you to recover wifi passwords. Titanium backup can backup wifi data to. Just put your wifi pass in, back up wifi with titanium and after you reboot just restore it.

Im working on making a framework withoit the gr8nole button.

Firstly, thanks for the brilliant work, as soon as my wallet has something in it ill donate for sure. The main problem im having is lack of gps. I use my sm-t210 at work as a satnav, but all versions so far, I have been unable to get a connection. Ive installed "faster gps" but still nothing. At the mo im having to restore to 4.1 everytime I need satnav, and my internal memory is running low as I cant wipe it or I have to download my satnav map again.
Any ideas please?

Most likely will never work. I think we don't have hardware support for it, but I could be wrong. I also have no way to even test.

I responded to a bug report about this. GPS works fine for me. I immediately get a lock on 12-13 sats. If can send some logs from when you have issues I'll take a look and see if I can find anything.

I think it has hardware support because im using the 4.2.2 version works perfectly to connect to the tv. But as what u said, you have no tv to test it to. Thanks for your effort and this nice rom. I'll just wait if you could come up eith a solution. Im still using your 1.4 version.

I used the exposed module APM+ it removed it

OTG? On the go? Like you can't buy a cable to plug a flash drive in? If so I could of swore I read before that this tablet can do that hmmm

Google Duo, no audio for me. I can be heard but can't hear the other end. That is all.

I've noticed that if I flash and nothing else, it runs hot and has huge battery drain. If I then flash xceed kernel it runs cooler with less drain, but I lose root. If I then flash supersu I regain root but again have high temps and battery drain. Think I'll go back to build 2 until this is sorted out.

Does this rom has fast charger? And how I can get rid of the New version of exposed installer is available?

Russo fast charger?

There are not 3minute battery mod That works with this rom?

I'm on version 3.5. All is working well except my apps will not update via Google play. Error code 419. I take it it's the same Play services bug the good folks are working on. I am very grateful for their work.

V4 is awesome all around. Google Duo works, YouTube doesn't lag, Playstore works, no battery drain. Great work Chevy!

If I recall correctly it needs to be set from the gallery.

Didn't see it there...used to be in the original settings menu but can't find it in this menu

Setting, wallpapers and themes.. From there you choose where you want the wallpaper or picture.

Few non important issues, they I'm wondering if anyone figured out.
One being the screen overlay stuff? Can't edit some permissions due to screen overlay?
Another is the connected to network name'' [email protected]#$ '' or something.
Think that's it, just minor cosmetic ones I can't get to go away that are messing with my OCD.

I have tried to use the Amazon Prime Video app from the Samsung Galaxy App store, and I can't get to the sign in page. The screen is black with a green button that displays on the bottom for about one second, then immediately goes white, and no other input is possible? Does this app have root checking on it?
This happens on build 2 and 3. Has anyone tried this app on build 4? I haven't upgraded yet.

Great rom! Thank you chevy, we are all so grateful. It's buttery smooth and overall amazing how you accomplished this rom.
The only issue I've have encountered is with android auto and my 2016 civic. I've tried multiple cables, multiple versions of AA (AA still works on my other phones moto G4 and moto e), but can't get it to work with my note 4 running this rom. Anybody have any ideas? Thank you.

"First you have to have Android auto installed from the play store and open it up. It does a bunch of updates and BS then when you connect your phone via USB cable, go to NSeven settings, USB and hardware then set the USB connection to mtp for Android auto to recognize your phone"
