Is it possible to change the widget with the widget - Zooper Widget General

I don't know if I'm working this right. But basically is it possible to make it where if I click on a certain part of the widget it actually changes it to a different widget. example, so you have a clock widget that has the temperature and your cell signal. When you click on the clock it changes to another widget that is just the clock

That's currently only possible if you use Tasker to setup a task that changes a variable and pushes that variable back to Zooper. You can then use that widget to control the visibility of the modules in your widget. You would then have to use that task as an OnTap action of your widget/module to toggle between the two "versions" of your widget.

Any way you could point me in the right direction. I just got Tasker a few days ago and to be honest it's a tad overwhelming. Maybe just a nudge in the right direction??

alrighty, first. thanks so much! second, is it posable to have this also effect things like text? so, i can have a clock in one position when x=1 then have it in a second position when x=0. or just have it make it where when on 1, it appears and on 0 it disappears.

What you use it for is up to you. You'll just have to substitute the options you need like [ox][/ox] for the horizontal offset or [c][/c] for the color instead of the [bo][/bo] as in the example I have in the original post.

[Q] Changing dock on unrooted 2.2

Hi, I am looking to change the dock on my Evo. It isn't rooted and I was just wondering if that was possible? If so can somebody please point me in the right direction? I tried to search, but didn't really know what to search. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
To be honest I don't even know if I am calling it by the right name. I want to change the thing at the bottom of the screen where you click to go to the phone, your apps and add something to your home screen. I would like to pit icons there instead of the stock bar.

set it was the default launcher. It works well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745929
See this thread, allows you to restore the stock 2.2 Android launcher. Otherwise LauncherPRO is excellent as well (its what I use).
I installed LauncherPro and the big clock is gone is there anyway to get my clock back and use the bottom icons from LauncherPro?
You need to install a widget for the clock. Either hold down on your home screen and select the widget, or download one from the market.

Thanks very much!! Still learning Android
Is there a way to put the stock big clock on there that shows the weather?

Do a search for "fancy widget". It's pretty much just like the HTC clock.
I recommend beautiful widgets because you can change the font/look of it to pretty much whatever you want, as long as you don't mind dropping a few bucks on it.

[Q] Navagation widget

Is there a navigation widget showing next direction? Or a map that shows you and has surrounding streets? If not, is it possible with current sdk to accomplish this?

Ah I see, I read his two questions as separate requests but it was a continuation. I apologize for my misunderstanding.
I believe there is a live wallpaper that has google maps as the background and does live updating on your location. Not really what you were looking for but the closest thing I think.
how about this one:

Since i could not find a good vehicle friendly one i wanted to improvise using a home screen something like the attached.
"Where I'm at" widget has been upgraded to enable zoom and direction works great as far as I can see for this. A gesture music player widget (at this time i believe is impossible from what I've read) and maybe some other small details and android could become vehicle friendly.

Toggles

Can we do toggles?
Like for example.. lets just say a wifi toggle.. I have an image in which I would like to put it at opacity of 65 and when I tap on it to turn it on. it will become an opacity of 100..
Are there any threads that teach how to do it?

This is only possible if you have Tasker. Zooper currently has no built-in function for this.
I think there was a tutorial on Zooper/Tasker integration but I'll have to look that up. If there is not, I'll put in on my (ever growing) Todo list.
Actually you can. This is what makes Zooper so good, much better than the other custom widget app.
Insert your bitmap and set the opacity to 65
In the advanced parameters enter
For wifi connected
Code:
$#NWSTATE#=2?[bo]100[/100]$
For wifi on but NOT connected
Code:
$#NWSTATE#=1?[bo]80[/100]$
change the value between [bo] to your desired opacity

Yes, that would work to display the current state of wifi but his question was if he can do an actual toggle that switches the state of the wifi when touched (and then display it). That is currently not natively possible in Zooper.

Oops, you're right. Zooper cannot toggle any settings. You will need another app to do that function.
billab0n6 - you can use an wifi shortcut app and link to it from Zooper's ontap action. I'm not sure how to use Tasker but Trigger (aka NFC Task Launcher) can create shortcuts.

Tasker and Zooper integrate very nicely.

Tasker works really well, when you know how to set it up right. I already used it in my setups
Tasker seems very very complicated to use.. I do know seeing them in the forums.. alot of advanced users are using them but from the way I see them talk about it.. it seems quite hard to set it up. .. sigh

You can also use More shortcuts by chYK - available on play store - just link to it in on tap shortcuts. Hope this is helpful to you.

[Q] Zooper with Tabs?

Hi, is possible to create a widget with zooper with multiple tabs in one page?
Example:
I did create something like that once using Tasker to control what was shown by the widget for the various tabs. To be honest it lagged quite badly due to everything having to wait for Zooper's update cycle. Tabs are better off being set up in the launcher itself, I would recommend Lightning launcher as being great for this sort of stuff
Wrong thread
Mokum020 said:
A way to do this is by creating a seperate widget for every tab you want and use Nova launcher with Desktop/Scroll Effect set to Wipe.
This works when swiping left or right, not by actually tapping a button.
Then when you swipe left or right only those parts of the widgets that are different will change on the screen.
This is how I did it with some widgets I made for my OnePlus One:

I assume your Bluetooth icon changes when on/off? How were you able to get that set up? Is it possible without Tasker?

[Q] Question Mark in the Weather Widget

Does anybody know how to remove the Question mark in the Weather Widget in the homescreen? See attachment.

I get the same thing when I tap on it. I'm sure that widget would like nice without it.

My Smart Notice is set up. I already set it up.
After some researching, it appears the ? on the widget is supposed to launch LG's "Quick Help". I neither would use quick help nor do I use Google Now very much (thus, dont need constant updates), so I changed the Smart Notice widget for the regular clock/weather widget. It *is* pretty cool that it changes color depending on your wallpaper, though.
