Stock Android ROM (nexus/play edition) for GS3 - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Does an 'untweaked' Play Edition (Nexus) ROM exist for the GS3. I have done some searching, but when have not had much luck.
Thank you,
Don

By Google Play edition, are you referring to the experience on "Google Play Edition Devices" as listed here? If that's the case, then you are looking for AOSP Roms. (Please Google AOSP). Such Roms offer pure android experience without the manufacturer bloat.
Primary among AOSP Roms is CynogenMod or CM for short. Then there are several other Roms that also offer AOSP experience but add a few niche features. You can find them all in the "Original Android Development" SubForum.
You will also come across Roms that are Touchwiz. These roms are based on Samsung's Stock firmware. If the above is true, you are not looking for this.

A plain AOSP ROM is what I am looking for. I have recently become aware of the xposed framework etc, and want to see how it works with AOSP (rather than an already mod'd ROM).
Thank you again!

Xposed Framework will work pretty well on AOSP Roms. Does some great things.

Which AOSP ROM would you recommend for me to start experimenting with. I assume I want the most basic (pure PE) ROM so modules do not conflict?
I also have a insurance replaced GS3 with the stock TW Samsung ROM on it. Once I root, can I use the Xposed framework on it (would I even want to)?
Thank you for your help and attention.

Yes. There are xposed modules made for touchwiz. Many people love using them, but im not yet convinced its as good using a rom with the desired mods built in.
Id suggest reading up on it and giving it a try to see how well it works for your needs. Just dont forget to backup first of course.

There are quiet a few Roms that are pretty Good. For Ex. Slim Bean, C-Rom, CM to name just a few of the AOSP Roms. As to the Xposed Modules, as Doc said, You'd rather use what's baked into the Rom rather than use corresponding Module.
Here on XDA, we do not "Reccomend" any particular Rom for at least a couple of Reasons.
1. Reccomending one rom does injustice to the hard work of the Developers of the other Roms. They all really are Great ones.
2. What is Good for me and my usage pattern may not hold true for you or anyone else.
Best way to determine is to give each Rom a try and see what you are comfortable with. As always take a Nandroid before hand so you can retrace your Steps.

Xposed mods work on both types. I stick with touchwiz ROMs though mostly for true multi window.
I can confirm Xposed works on S3rx and Docs port of 4.4 from sprint perfectly.

[Q] Which Rom should I select?

Im only partially familiar with roms and flashing(used to flash optimus V until I upgraded to a phone with no devs working on it XD ), I was fairly familiar with a cyanogenmod port for my op-V and liked that.
Anyways more specifically im not familiar with any of the devs or their products and was wondering which rom will give me the most preformace and lowest battery drain?
or is it too soon in the nexus 7's life to determine this kinda thing?
should I just stick with stock for now?
also if you have any words of advice or such so a new nexus 7, I'd love to here em.
just flash every rom out there and decide which ever is the "best" for you then stay with it .
What exactly do you find wrong with the stock rom? My thoughts on custom roms have always been if it isn't broke don't fix it.

Options and features.... for example Cyanogenmod has a ton of features that the original ROM doesn't have. Also speed sometimes dictates switching roms. Alot of custom roms are striped down and are faster also.

Not about fixing, but improving
Paranoid Android is fast becoming a personal favorite. Tablet UI is how things ought to be. It's very easy to make a backup image, backup apps, and just start flashing. Now's a good time to start, too, as it's early and the selection is fairly limited. It will only grow from here..

if you like stock and want the ability to choose what you want, cleanrom is great

Very true what you guys say, stock ROM is great and all but I love to see all the cool features people put out in their custom Roms.

I flashed every ROM that was available, that after I backed-up my original stock ROM. It's the only way you'll find which one you like the most. My 2 best options are ParanoidAndroid 3 and CyanogenMod Kangs, but I love the stability and speed of latter. It's all about preferences, just read a lot of comments of what users say and that also can help you.
Update: I love too much the custom ROMS, the customizing and the utilities they add are just fantastic. That's why I never stay with a stock ROM.
CleanROM if you just want a basic ROM like stock without all the bloatware.
ParanoidAndroid if you want a ton of features to play around with. Some are buggy at the moment and performance won't be as good as it would be with CleanROM but I think it's worth it for the features.

[Q] Daily Driver ROM - Like stock but fast and debloated

Hello,
I am looking for a custom ROM that is based on the stock builds but, debloated, rooted, and fast. I have always found these for Captivate, and S2. I can't seem to find one for the S3.
The open source ROMs are super slick and cool, but, I actually prefer the way stock Samsung handles the dialer, contacts, email, and messaging. As this is 90% of my usage, it is 90% of my enjoyment.
I do like the speed and options available in a custom ROM though. I need a daily driver with options
Any recommendations?
Thanks...DCF

I concur.
XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

Rom question or suggestion

Is there a rom that isnt touchwiz based like cm10.2 or paranoid but that supports apps 2sdcard? i love little minions rom but i really just love aosp roms i just would like to see apps 2sd card support! any Roms like that available?
Several are available. Check the Android Developers thread the TMobile Samsung Galaxy S4 section.
This is just 1 example of the several there. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337709

You are going to have to do this research yourself. Threads like this which inevitably turn into "Which rom is best" discussions are not permitted on XDA.
Spend the time to read through all of the descriptions of available roms in the dev section. Try a bunch of them out to find one that is right for you. You will learn A TON in this process and it's a great experience.
Getting other people to simply telly ou which rom to use will not help you learn anything.

[Q] TouchWiz And S Pen Support

Currently I'm running NB4 and 4.4.2. I'm running AOSP with Slimkat, and multiple apps to make the S Pen usable again. However, I'm looking to switch to TouchWiz but I'm wondering if there is ROM compatible with my device that has an AOSP theme. Or perhaps the UI is just different enough to not look like TouchWiz. I'm trying to get full S Pen Support just like stock, so those apps need to come with the ROM. Also if it's debloated that would be great too in addition to having 4k recording and a great camera app.
I've looked around in our forums but need some suggestions, this isn't a which is the best thread, it's looking for TouchWiz ROMS that may have different theme options close to AOSP, compatible with my device, and all the features and apps from stock. I was interested in X Note, but apparently it's not supported on our device.
Thank you for your time.
Would this work?

Now that I'm rooted, what are my tethering options?

Hi guys,
I'm rooted and would like to enable tethering. I know about enabling Hotspot if you have your MSL. Are there any other ways as I don't have my MSL?
Now that I'm rooted are there any apps that can give me MSL number? The app I've used only seems to work for HTC devices.
best way is install custom rom..
sac23 note 5 port and hybrid 3.0 is best rom for me

Right now I'm running the 100% Stock ROM that doesn't have Knox and Itson. Reason why I decided to stick to Stock is because I really don't want to deal with the quirks and issues that custom ROMS bring. Plus there are sooooo many ROMs in the development section it's tough to chose one when you're a newbie.
Any particular reason why you chose that ROM over others? And do you have any issues whatsoever with it?
Anyone have a way of getting my MSL number myself, now that I'm rooted, without the need of having to contact provider?
Roms should list it that the hotspot is activated for use. CM12.1 has it. But im haveyingbattery drain issues lately with that.. So Im also looking for a new stable custom rom
I definitely want to stay away from custom ROMS. Too buggy, specifically AOSP ROMS. That's all i used before and so I'm very familiar with all their quirks and mishaps.
If i can find a custom ROM (or if you can recommend one) that has everything working (like stock ROMS do ) I'll jump ship immediately. Until then, I'll take stock and stability day.

Aosp are not buggy. Cyanogen is really good. I'm running nightlies.
Definitely Hybrid. Very close to stock with minor changes, including addition of hotspot. Very stable, really no issues. Just make sure you chose Hybrid and not the Hybrid X version which is more modded. They're both in the same thread in Android Development
Cyanogen mod has no bugs. Just no finger print support but that should be coming soon specially with cm13 coming down the pipe. The night builds are great you just have to activate your network within the ROM when you first start. But my phone doesn't crash no force closes or anything. Battery isn't all that bad... I honestly think I was having calibration issues with my zero lemon .
