Hey everyone. So I know that the compact doesnt use all of thew LTE bands for AT&T, but I do infact get 1700 mhz LTE in my area.
I was wondering if anyone else experienced this bug:
I make a call, the phone drops to HSPA like normal. After the call is over, it doesnt revert back to LTE, it stays on HSPA+. If I toggle LTE toggle or Airplane mode, it will reconnect to LTE.
Does anyone else experience this or have a solution to go back to LTE? Thanks!
It s an opperator bug update to fast return to LTE

I'm running stock ICS on a VZW Galaxy Nexus. Is there any way to keep 4G/LTE enabled but turn off 3G?
I ask because I often tether my computer at work, but there is a weak LTE signal at my workplace, and a strong 3G signal (they may even have VZW 3G repeaters in the building) and I always end up getting 3G speeds. I've tried a few app from the market "LTE onoff", "3g/4g on/off" and some others but none seem to have an LTE only option. I haven't rooted my phone yet, but would be open to rooting if there is a root only option for this. Would be awesome if someone could help!
There's app called switch pro widgets ($1) and it didn't allow you to toggle the 4g and anything else you want to adjust.

no. the 3g signal is your voice service.
*#*#4636#*#*
Then phone info > LTE Only.
Do note LTE is data only, no voice.

Hey guys, I recently switched to wind mobile and I have a galaxy s2 X from Telus unlocked. The data speeds on wind are good for my usage, however, I've noticed that my phone keeps switching from UMTS to HSPA. While on HSPA the speeds are great. But it switches down to UMTS randomly. I know that its a system built into the network to switch to HSPA as soon as I start using data. But the problem is that sometimes it never switches and data becomes painfully slow even if I have 5 bars. Is there any way to fix this? To force HSPA at all times. I remember HSPA was on at all times while I was with mobilicity.
Please help, its really frustrating. The *#*#4636#*#* thing doesn't work also in the dialer.

If you're on stock, there might be an option in Settings>More>Mobile Settings. Check to see if there is an option for HSPA only, it may be set to HSPA/GSM.

basically it boils down to the tower you're connected to, there are 5 times as much customer on Wind than on Mobilicity, so every tower is taxed, specially in heavy populated areas
Hi! My phone switched to 4g when in calls. I know thats normal. But is there anyway I can turn off that function and keep LTE all the time? Thanks!

In my area 4G is a lower speed connection than LTE.
Check in Settings>Wireless & Networks (More...)>MobileNetworks>Network Mode and select LTE/HSPA+. This will ensure that when you are in an LTE capable zone it will connect to LTE.
If you turn lte to stay on all the time you will not be able to make and receive calls. For now lte doesn't support phone calls, that's why the phone switches to 4g.

This is accurate. LTE only supports data at this time. For voice you need older generations of signal ie. 4G, 3G, Edge

4G is always a priority over 3G if you have it enabled. There's no way around it unless you switch lte off. So if you're in a weak 4G coverage and your phone gets the signal it will take over your 3G. Wifi is always 1st priority, 4G 2nd, then 3G, finally 2G. As long as those radio are on that's the order they work. Was always like that even in wimax devices. Switch to cdma while at home or connect to wifi.

Whenever I download anything on my stock OnePlus, if it switches from LTE to 3G or vice versa the download stops? Anyone else had this issue? Or know of a fix?
It's really irritating as if for example I'm updating some apps and my signal drops to 3G or it switches to LTE the app will stop downloading and it'll just sit there stuck in the notification area until I cancel it and start again.

If it stays on LTE then the download will complete uninterrupted but living in the UK we have a terrible LTE network in places, in and out of LTE/3G.
