Yes, I saw that yesterday and put it on SD, but when I select "Install update so sd card", i go to dload folder and it's empty (yes, I checked if the UpdATE.APP is in there)
I installed recovery for b118 first and the boot.img and recovery from b506
so, my phones turns on, I can see the Huawei splashscreen. I can enter recovery as well. and my PC recognizes the phone.
My recovery wont install anything though.
So, can I flash some sort of recovery in this situation? Because I think that flashing the boot.img removed my ROM.

I don't think you can use stock recovery to pick update.app from folder. You have to use 3 button power up method.
Just place update.app in dload folder on external SD card.
From the links i shared before you can get a dload/update.app that you need to put on sd card and update through the stock recovery before you try updating actual stock rom(4.2.2)

The term local update refers to update that you do from working ROM, meaning you are able to go to System updates when ROM is running and choose Local update from SD card.
In this case it has to be done by what's called forced update, 3 button power up method.
I know what you all mean and i tried many times but it wont install anything now! First I got fail, I couldnt choose a updat.app even though it was on sd.
Now it doesnt even load the whole recovery...
And I dont have a rom, when I reboot I am stuck at splash screen.
And the 3 botton method didnt work, after that i selected from sd card but no luck..
is on its way to repair centre right now..

Hello !
Sorry to tell you, but from start you did a wrong step ! First if you was on OmniROM, you must flash ONLY stock recovery for KitKat and not for JB ! From here start all issues in your device !
To avoid any issue , when you use a custom rom based KitKat and you want to downgrade to JB , first you must put your device to Stock Huawei KitKat ( doesn't matter if is beta, B506 or B507 ) ! To install Stock Huawei KitKat - you must to flash stock recovery KitKat - and than flash UPDATE.APP from /dload folder ( where UPDATE.APP is stock firmware Huawei KitKat ) !
Now you should follow the intermediate steps to be able to downgrade to JB ( by installing aditional update.app )
Anyway good luck, and I hope you can solve this issue !
Edit :
You can try this stuff :
First, use your PC with a new microSD to copy UPDATE.APP ( from Huawei KitKat ) in /dload folder !
Go here and take stock recovery for Huawei KitKat ;
Put your microSD already prepared on your device and connect USB cable! Put your device in bootloader mode ( just keep pressing power button and volume down more than 10sec ) - now you should be able to flash stock recovery in your device > fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ; and reboot your device > fastboot reboot ! Right now you can reboot in stock recovery ( adb reboot recovery or using combo key ) and start flash UPDATE.APP !

Ok, good luck !
This is the reason why I always recommended to use JB Rom with JB Recovery and KitKat Rom with KitKat Recovery - to avoid any issues! :good:
Hi Guys,
had the same issue today, but thank god i was still able to boot on a bugged omni room to copy file back and forth on my sd card.
But i still cannot find any way back to 4.2...
I tried the steps which surdu_petru write down but i still have the same error message
Checking Module Verlist...
Huawei SD card update fail.
Maybe i made a mistake but these were the steps that i tried:
I`m on the Omni Rom 4.4.2 right now with trwp 2.7.0.0
1. i prepared a microsd with the dload folder of the stock b506 from the huawei site
2. i flashed the stock recovery (B506) from THAT post
3. rebooted the phone and pressed volume plus and minus
4. and then the error message appeard
Maybe someone can explain me step by step how the downgrade works, would like to see the b125 stock on my phone
Thank you!
Sorry for my bad english

You should perform an intermediate step by installing a small update.app before to be able to downgrade to JB ! Solution a few posts above (try to read them all to see what you missed).
u mean that dload from that chinese download site? i tried to flash this with the same method like the stock B506 but it also fails.

Since you have working ROM, try to flash that small update.app with normal update process via System updates-Update from SD card, if 3 button method fails.
what i tried:
1. omnirom 4.4.2 with trwp 2.7.0.0 -> flash kitkat stock recovery -> flash Kitkat b506 -> failed
2. modified b506 custom rom with trwp 2.7.0.0 -> flash kitkat stock recovery -> flash that small update app from this chinese site -> failed
3. modified b506 custom rom with trwp 2.7.0.0 -> flash kitkat stock recovery -> flash stock b125 -> failed
4. omnirom 4.4.2 with trwp 2.7.0.0 -> flash b118 stock recovery -> reboot-> phone keeps vibrating and nothing works until i reflash trwp or kitkat stock
failed = Checking Module Verlist... Huawei SD card update fail

You should try to wipe cache , data and dalvik-cache ( on twrp ) , than flash stock recovery in this way :
Reboot -> Bootloader ;
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
press combo key to boot on stock recovery ;

Then i booted my phone up into the stock recovery and it tried to flash the B506 dload with the same error.
I also tried to flash the small update.app without success

Hi guys.
I need some help. I updated to KK beta. I then tried to revert back to B125. somehow in the process i formatted everything and now i can not load any version of software. I only have the huawei recovery console. it keeps on telling me "installation aborted" when i try and install software.
Please help.
I do not have any software on the phone. what can i do to fix the problem?
Eject you sdcard, put a ROM in it and flash it through recovery. You have recovery right?
i get a installation aborted error when i try and recover. I have tried b111 b118 b120 and b125. same error. Which folder must the data be in? zipped or unzipped?
On the root of the sdcard, as a zip but flashable. Do you have stock or custom recovery? If it's stock put the update.app file in a folder called dload.Extract the update.app, put only that file in dload and press power and volume up/down all at once for a few seconds until it starts updating. Do not put the ZIP, only the file update.app.
tried and still not working. any other suggestions?
Do you have stock, custom or both recoveries?
Only stock revoery. had twrp installed but install the b118 stock recovery software. now im not able to install any software. phone is clean. no OS.
Well if you have stock recovery the update.app method must work. Do not put the zip in dload, only the update.app file. And repeat the 3 button method until it works.
Tried everything. nothing works
Dont connect usb when installing
He's right, unplug your phone while doing all of the above.
not connected via usb. is there any other way? any other roms to try?
Phone is fixed. thanks for the help

Hi!
Please , put stock recovery back to be able to flash stock rom !
Now just remove the memory card, and go to stock recovery by pressing combo key . Here you must wipe cache ! Put your memory sdcard back ( make sure you already have /dlaod/UPDATE.APP into it) , and reboot again into recovery ! Installation will begin automatically .... ( your device must not be connected with USB cable )
Good luck .

Most important step many people miss:
Any time you are going to flash new ROM you should make backup with TWRP, since you already have TWRP installed. That way if flash fails you can simply restore your previous ROM without any hassle.
I am surprised that you flash failed if you followed instructions and wiped everything except internal and external storage.
Current firmware: Android 5.0.2, Build LRX22G, Cyanogen OS version 12.0-YNG1TAS0W0

Posted cm12
Just installed the zip version of cm12 on yu. Could not wait for the official ota update. Updated zip using cwm recovery which I had installed while the phone was running on the cm11 kitkat 4.4.4 version.
I understand that since this is just a system update there is no need to change or revert back to the original recovery.
(just a doubt- is it necessary to revert back to original 4.4.4 system stock recovery in case we get the OTA or the OTA will take care of any Custom recovery and will install iteslf?)
Initial boot will take a long time due to the Android Runtime (ART) virtual machine which is the improvisation over the Dalvik Cache. So please be patient for all the 122 apps to get registered in by ART. I had tried the ART while on cm11 4.4.4 (despite of system warning that it might lead to crashes etc... ), even then it took a very long time......
Working absolutely fine. Initial experience is awesome. Will be observing it now for some time. Most other features are similar to the cm11. no more 3g detection errors. Got to explore more....
My first posting in XDA.
I owe a lot to this community from which I have taken a lot. I hope I will be able to give back even little that I have got to help others. :good::good:
By zip version i mean the version that can be installed using the phone recovery with out the need of a computer to push the system (i.e. the flashable version). I am not aware what the debuggable version means.

YES YOU CAN JUST FOLLOW THIS STEPS
1. Download official CM12s Ota(1st zip in the link).
2. Place the downloaded zip file in the ‘download’ folder on phone’s internal storage.
3. Boot Yureka into Stock Cyanogen recovery - To do so, power off the phone. Then press Volume Up + Volume Down and Power button simultaneously,Onec you boot into recovery do data/ factory reset.
4. Select ‘Apply Update’ > ‘choose from internal storage’ > /0 > Download > and select “cm-12.0-YNG1TAS0W0-tomato-signed.zip” file. The ROM will be flashed and you should be seeing the Android Bot
5. Once installation is over, go to main page and ‘wipe cache partition’
6. Then select Reboot system now
That’s it! Wait for a while as the device boots for the first time with all new and fresh Cyanogen OS 12.
IF you dont get anyhting just revert me back ,or pm will help you.

Hi, You can very well install the .....signed.zip using the CWM recovery as I did.
1. Install the .....signed.zip file and not the ....flashable.zip or the ....bootable.zip files. Only the .....SIGNED.ZIP file either on your phone memory or sdcard
2. Reboot into the recovery mode either by using the advanced reboot option or by pressing the volumeup+down button and power buttons simultaneously and releasing them once you see the Yu logo and phone vibrates.
2. Use the Factory reset command first and then wipe the Cache
3. Navigate to the Install zip and chose the .....SIGNED.zip from either your phone memory or the SD Card as CWM has the option to chose the zip file. and swipe to install it.
4. After successful installation navigate to reboot and swipe to allow the system to restart.
5. Intial boot takes a very long time saying Android is updating. This is because Lollipop uses Android Runtime (ART) by default and not Dalvik Cache as a virtual machine for all apps. So please be patient till all the 122 or so apks are updated by ART. Takes around 10-15minutes.
6. The usual fist time boot stuff.... and then...
7. Enjoy. CM12 it is sweet.

It is android version 5.0.2
To flash through recovery (either CWM or TWRP) use the .....SIGNED.ZIP i.e. the first file in the list and NOT the .flashable.zip or the last one. Only the first one.
I installed the zip through CWM
The only bug I noticed was when you add the Powersaver option tile in the Notification drawer, when in the power saving mode, a notification showing the power save mode got invoked. When I used the same option after rebooting I am not getting it now..
Also all of a sudden a red boundary started to appear at the edges of the screen. So I though I had opted for the screen refresh notification in the Developer options but I had not. Still i could see the red rectangle when the screen refreshed. I had to reboot the system. Now fine.
My Huawei p6 is stuck at Huawei Ascend Logo screen or in TWRP menu.
Here is the history :
-From the stock Firmware, its been updated to B132 > B512 > B708
-TWRP installed and rooted.
-SD card partitioned and used Link2sd.
- Phone was working quite OKEY.
What Happened :
- I was fumbling with the phone, and accidently I used TWRP Advanced wipe (data, dalvik cache, system)
Now whats happening :
- Phone stuck at Huawei Ascend Logo screen
- If i press vol+ + vol - +power buttons, it goes to TWRP menu.
- in the TWRP menu, it shows NO OS INSTALLED at various places.
What I tried :
- I put the B708 zip file to SD card and tried flashing from TWRP.
md5 file not found, failed installing zip. FAILED.
- I tried B512 zip file too. same result.
Now the phone is always ON, in the Huawei Ascend Logo screen.
Note :
- I am not an expert user.
- The phone is not getting detected in windows.
How shall I get back to the B708 OS or atleast the stock firmware ?

Thanks for the support Tileeq.
The ROM file is
" B708_Repack_NeoArnet.V3". The one I used to update to kitkat 4.4.2, got from the XDA forum itself.

You cannot use TWRP to flash neoarnet's rom. It is an update.app file, so you need to flash the stock recovery onto your device, and then create a dload folder in the root of your SD card, and place the update.app file into the dload folder.
Do a local update using the Updater application.

No, the updater app is on your home screen.
It might be called System Update, or similar, if you're not on Emui 3.0.
How did you install TWRP? The process is the same, except you need the stock recovery. I can't give a detailed description now, but there are many guides explaining the process.
i got the same problem, my phone ran out of battery and then put it to charge and got stuck on the android logo, i cant install any rom, it was updated to kk with emui 3.0, i put the dload folder on the sd card root and when i try to open it it only appears ../, and if i put the boot.img on the sd card root it tries to install the os but tells me e: signature verification failed and stop installing

I think I missed to tell you that, it seems the phone got no OS now. Its not going further the Huawei Ascend Logo screen at Startup. Then how shall i run the updater ? I am confused.
Or are you telling me that I should install the STOCK RECOVERY just like I did TWRP ?
Wont it be easier if I find a TWRP compatible ROM ZIP (kk, emui 3.0 ) ?

Yep, you did. And yes, I meant that you can install the stock recovery the same way you installed TWRP (using fastboot commands).
I just assumed since you already had that firmware, that you'd want to update to that, but yes, it will be easier to just install a ROM that that you can flash through TWRP.
Let me know how it goes.

I flashed emui_3.0_b709_by_oxalis_p6-u06_v04.zip this time. ( it was b708 before in the phone)
Using TWRP and the rom zip file.
It was a success.
But now there is no network !!!!! No sim inserted !!!
What happened ???
This is the first time I've ever done this, but I just hated the UI on the Huawei G8 (laggy) and decided to try the xda way. PS: knowing that it's easier to help someone when they tell all the details, I am going to post all of it. So sorry for the long post.
First thing I did was try to update to unofficial marshmallow downloaded from here. But it didn't work saying installation failed ... Did some research and found out the device OS is from Iran (I'm from the middle east), so probably the reason why it didn't allow me to install an EU update.
What I did then was unlock bootloader by getting the unlock code from emui website. And then unlocking it from the adb terminal (adb.exe)
Then I loaded TWRP and did a backup.
I forgot to copy SuperSu to the SD card, and when TWRP asked me to root I accepted. So it got stuck on the Huawei logo while booting.
I then did a recovery from TWRP which worked perfectly
I should've just downloaded a new rom and flashed that , but I was like maybe it might allow me to install that update now the phone is unlocked so I tried installing it from the updater ->local update. And that's when the looping into recovery happened.
So I tried to do another recovery from my backup , but again it loaded into TWRP . Which I don't understand since I guess it should load the backed up System. Or is there something telling the device to reload the update from the SD card causing it to crash again ?
UPDATE: I went into file manager and renamed the dload folder to dloadxxx but that didnt help. Then I downloaded the latest TWRP and flashed that, and recovered the backed up system and THAT worked . The restore took longer than with the older TWRP . I have no clue why it worked like this. But maybe this can help someone in the future.
Thanks
Had the same thing. Exept that this happend during OTA update ....
Get a stock ROM of your choice (tested with xxxB130xxx).
Use update extractor to extract boot.img, system.img recovery.img
Wipe all partitions (except external SD Card) with TWRP. Select remove data and confirm. (you said you have backup). This allows a clean install.
Bring phone into fastboot mode (Vol down + power)
Flash bootlader with fastboot
Make Reset
Flash recovery and system
After reboot phone should start up normal.
Let me know if you got stuck somewhere.
Chilli
Edit: Root cause for the problem seems that Hauwei needs stock recovery for some update actions. -> When ever you want to make OTA or dload update flash back to stock recovery before (better flash completely to stock ).

h t t ps://mega.nz/#!P04D2S5Y!Yn2CL5wLC8ISb5AcNR9MTxzhAq3yVH3weG60go5zQCA download this archive, change twrp inside it with the lastest one that surdu_pertu provide.
go twrp wipe all things there
than
using adb "fastboot flash recovery stock.img"
after the first boot phone gonna think a new firmware is being installed just skip it and power off the phone
this will give you a nice start for flashing the Marshmallow from the begining.
Hello Demage,
I would be looking forward to having an Marshmallow image (if it supports my basebands). But Mega says the key is invalid. Can you double check?
Chilli
Thankfully, I managed to fix it.
1- Download Marshmallow G8 stock ROM.
2- Download Huawei update extractor, then extract recovery.img using the previous tool from the stock ROM Update.app file.
3- Go to the bootloader, then flash the extracted recovery.img into recovery.
4- Reboot by the command fastboot reboot.
5- You will get the default loading screen saying the device is reset, then you will be directed to the system welcome screen.
6- You can flash TWRP again, then superSU.
