Hello, I am running a Note II with jedi master x2 4.3 and purchased a Gear 2 neo, running latest firmware version.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2568537
I cannot remember if I uninstalled S-Voice or it is not included, either way after trying to get it to work I donwloaded and installed an APK for the s4's s voice, it starts up and seems to work on the phone, but the watch is not recognizing it (and I did restart the watch, at which point it asked me (again) to accept the terms and conditions for S-Voice and again told me it needed to be installed.
Any thoughts? And thanks for taking the time to read this!
Edit: I fixed it using these instructions as if my phone was a non samsung

Hi,
I've been running jelly bam lately because of the PA features (specifically per app DPI), but I recently purchased a Fitbit Flex and couldn't get it to work. I contacted their support and they just told me they don't support custom roms.. so I tried to restore my stock ATT/Samsung rom which is just version 4.1.1. The Fitbit Flex software installs and actually has the refresh button now but my phone doesn't seem to see my Flex when bluetooth is on. I think I need an update before I will be able to use the stock rom and I'm not sure how to do the updates with TWRP installed, I tried but it keeps rebooting into recovery. Anyway, I'd prefer not using the stock rom, specifically I would prefer a custom rom with PA features. I've just tried PAC-Man 4.3 nightly from last night (pac_t0lte-nightly-20130823.zip), and while my phone's bluetooth does see the device now, the Fitbit app doesn't give me the options like it did with my stock rom. Has anyone gotten the bluetooth and their Fitbit Flex to work with a custom rom with PA features?
Thanks!
If I recall, on a S3 and using a Fitbit One, you won't see the Fitbit except inside the app. There is a "devices" section in the app which lets you check the sync box. If you don't see that then the phone isn't seeing the Fitbit. Stock rom on the S3 works fine. Any custom rom will show you stats pulled from the web but not allow you to sync from the phone. I believe their app is the problem and not necessarily the phone or rom. Anyway, I've learned to live without syncing from the phone since stock firmware just isn't for me.

This is all exactly the same on my Note 2, but even my stock doesn't rom work. Like I said, possibly due to the old version 4.1.1. Under the stock rom the app shows all the additional options like you mention, but my phone's bluetooth never sees the Flex. I wonder what the Fitbit app uses to determine whether to show the additional options or not. I included screenshots to my "about device". I noticed that my model number was different with the new rom and thought maybe that might have something to do with it because clearly it's not (or not just) the android version.
Have you tried a stock 4.1.2 build ??

It's a good option..and worth a try....g

Can someone link a stock rom for me? I have the GPe of the GS4. i9505G, and I have AT&T. Started out with SGH-i337
Fitbit Sync
I got FitBit to Sync finally with my custom rom.
I used the Build Prop Editor from JRummy. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.build.prop.editor
change the ro.product.model=GT-I9505G
and ro.product.manufacturer=samsung
and save those settings, reboot, and now Fitbit will try to sync now. YAY! :victory:

I followed those tips and got it working on my Galaxy S3 AT&T running Carbon ROM...
but now the Dilbert app is telling me that my device is not supported... which is weird because it's just an app to view the daily comic strip.

Just one thing to try, my FitBit wouldn't initially synchronise with any of my devices (all custom ROM)...but I then tried removing the gel cover and plastic rear battery cover of the phone (an S3), held it very close to the FitBit and it then sync'ed fine!
It seems that this new low-power Bluetooth protocol is a little too low on the power element
Note 2 & Fitbit/Bluetooth Problems
I came here looking for answers/help with my bluetooth... but so far I haven't really been able to find anything that's actually helpful. I can share with everything what I've been able to find out, though.
I have a Galaxy Note 2 running stock on Android 4.4.2 and I have the Fitbit Flex. I used to sync without any problems but after my phone updated to 4.4.2 it no longer syncs. After researching for a few days... it seems the problem is with the Update itself... it reduces power or range of Bluetooth... that's why the Flex cannot sync to it. However, I have discovered an quick fix to that:
When syncing, just place your phone on top of your Flex band and it will sync up without any problems. This has become my temporary solution. Someone else suggest another quick fix would be to turn on Mobile Hotspot on your phone... that is suppose to increase the Bluetooth Power.
I also learned that Samsung won't update the Note 2 to 4.4.4, which would have fixed this problem.. but instead will Update the Note 2 to Lollipop... but that date is still unannounced.
If anyone has any ideas on how to really fix this problem... I'm all ears. The only solution I found was to open up the phone and do something to the bluetooth chip inside... but I forgot where I found that solution.
As title, I run a note 2 n7100 running AOKP 4.3 (which others have confirmed this app runs on and the note 2 is an approved mirrorlink device) I purchased from a chap that ran it with a note 2 fine, I can't get either the official app to run nor the full mirroring app. Whenever I install the modified app it crashes and says it has unexpectedly stopped or something, and the legit app does the same. I did get the hacked app running ONCE however it still wouldn't connect to the Sony head unit. Now whenever I uninstall and reinstall the program it just won't work! Please help spmeone. Thanks/ stee
Nobody has any ideas?!
Hi, I have a smartwatch 3 with a samsung galaxy note 3 but find that 50% of the time when giving google voice instructions the watch doesn't respond and then says connection lost. It makes one of the useful features of the watch pretty much worthless. Any ideas? Thanks

If that Galaxy Note 3 is running the Stock ROM, than I'd say that's your problem. Samsung don't like you to use non-Samsung devices. alongside theirs.. Also, which version of Android are you running? As far as I know, the GN3's support was dropped, with the last official update being KitKat. So that might also be a problem... I highly recommend upgrading your phone to the same version of Android as your SW3 (Which would be 5.1.1 if you're on the latest update), and not using a Samsung ROM. If there's CyanogenMod for your phone, get it and try the watch again.
I am currently on an HTC 10 running the latest version of LeeDroid, rooted. Ever since I flashed the new ROM, my Gear S2 Classic was unable to connect, but I left it like that as it still showed the time. After getting frustrated with not receiving notifications, I reset the watch and uninstalled everything related to the Gear off of my phone (Samsung Accessory Service, Gear S Manager, Gear S Plugin) and reinstalled everything. I attempted to connect to my watch for setup afterward, but every single time it prompts me to connect to my watch, the app crashes and the whole process has to restart. I can confirm that the watch can connect to my Note 5. Is this an issue with root?
Since a couple of the gear app updates the download of the depending software failes.
I was also on leedroid but I have had to rollback to stock to make everything work properly with my S3 frontier. Sh.. t happens. I rooted my device by myself
I had this info from Lee directly.
So we aspect the hTC N update next week... Hopefully.

Do you think installing LeeDroid unrooted would work? If not then I guess I will have to go back to stock ?
Hello, i use the Gear S App with the Gear S Plugin App from the Playstore with my HTC 10 and my Gear S3 Classic works fine with them..
So i will think, its a Problem with the Rom.
Did all Services for the Gear S App was installed, or was they removed by the Dev?
Nice Greets
Custom roms have a problem with the Samsung gear S plugin. Maybe it's because they are all deodexed? The only rom working for me is the nougat port for Verizon from santod040

Anyone figure this out?
I read somewhere on another forum that the issue is some rom ID or device ID. Samsung Gear App or Plugin reads this ID and depending on the ID does this or that (checking if the device supports "something" - can't now remember what). Problem is that custom ROMs have IDs which this app doesn't recognize and gets into a piece of code which crashes. There was a patch to be applied to the Samsung App or Plugin to ignore the ID check which made it work OK, but it was a patching process one would have to repeat each time a new version of the app comes up.
I've been looking for an answer for this for a while but couldn't find anything, not even Samsung was of any help, as they said the active 2 watch doesn't work well with pixel 3, even though online o saw multiple people using it without issues.
So the thing is I've owned a gear S3 for 2 years, working great from Pixel 2 XL to 3 XL. I just bought a newer version of The watch, the active 2. The app couldn't find it, so I tried uninstalling it, and finding out I couldn't install it again. I keep getting an error message from Google play saying the app couldn't be installed. I tried downloading the apk for the app, but also got a "app not installed" message. Now I can't use the watch. I can still install the old apk, that doesn't find the watch. But can't get a later version because nothing will install. I can't even install the active 2 plugin, either through the app store or from an apk. Not sure what else to do. I really like the watch and didn't want to go back using my old one
I have the same watch, with pixel 3 xl, everything works as expected here..
@DeskPixel what rom are you using? I noticed that kind of thing happen when I was using custom roms, but everything was fine on the official rom.
I'm currently running Havoc and have not come across any issues with my Active2
