Galnet MIUI V4 is the first custom Miui V4 (It's build from galnet and not from Miui china)...
drzMIUIv4 doesn't differ too much from lastest galnet: apps added (a ics style launcher Nova for an Miui rom : funny), face unlock...) or removed, new kernel, etc.
Semaphone coming on ICS

Galnet MIUIv4 was to just start off and take a bit of taste of cooking on aosp roms, I didn't had any experiemce of aosp cooking before......now the rom is based on CM9 and official nexus s 2.1.20 release ..and will be uodated according to official nexus s releases. And there are Lot of differences.
hi everyone!
I want to root and install a new rom on my friend's Xperia Arc ...
but I wanted to know which ROM is the best for high score benchmarks(like antutu) and the stabliest for the everyday use...
My option one is the JJ's HYBRID ROM v3.1
the 2nd Cyanogenmod nightly
the 3rd cyanogenmod stable...
if a better rom is not on the list please tell me
And can i overclock with the stock kernel of the stock ics ?
Cheers...
Arconium ICS V2.0 with Aroma installer
Mooded ICS 100.0 by Chaosfirzen
you need to root and unlock the bootloader... why would you have CM nightly 2nd and CM stable 3rd? and you can overclock the stock kernel but faliure can happen so use a custom kernel for OC
Arconium 4.0 ICS
CM7.2-Stable
heres a whole selection to choose from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653188
the best rom i would suggest is ka21 in terms of battery life while in idle mode, it gives me as low as 0.2 % battery loss per hour(measured using battery drain from play store). it is very diffrent and even has jellybean mod.
if you would want to overclock the stock kernel then use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1673476 . if u have an unlocked bootloader, you can even flash custom kernels. note that an unlocked bootloader CAN be relocked.
for me its JJ's HYBRID ROM v3.1 which is good for everyday use.
UI wise for me its better looking with the original look and feel of the android 4, and usable than others.
But it all depends on personal preference.
I used every moded rom for xperia arc and i stayed with stock 4.0.4 with few modification (mainly Xperia S app, any modified sustemUI) and obviously DooMKernel chaos v5
With every moded rom I have some problems (Lockscreen stuck for few minutes <<i cant unlock phone>> , CM9 camera app sux, on JJ sometimes i cant answer the phone, ChaosFriZen eat battery in less than one day) Maybe my phone is "broke" but with stock rom I have no problems...
Arconium 4 with few files from KA21(SemcDlna.apk) and Xperia S apps
and KTG kernel
I tried Mooded but is full of bugs and not as fast as arconium
which is the best rom and kernel for xperia arc s? thanks
Go to where you should have posted this and read one of the 10+ threads asking the exact same question.
My Opinnion
I Test all of rom on this forum... everyone has something, everyone runs smoothly on the kernel - the rest of it depends on what you like

If you don't care about graphical user interface , definitely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance with lots of free ram available you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
Also Xperia Purness worth a try as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1788701
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues.
Regards
From the current Roms I can recommend
- Ultimate HD,
- Xperia T
- Pureness
all of which support the Sony styles and Apps and
-JJ Hybrid Rom
which focuses on bringing AOKP style while still supporting most of the Sony features.
I'm using Ultimate HD which seems to me to be the fastest right now for everyday use.
For kernel I use KTG Anzu, but can also recommend the advanced stock kernel.
From the older Roms I liked KA21 a lot. And Battery wise ArcKnight Kernel in Version 3.3 stock is great too.
Light...
Jelly Sandwich
If my opinion, Jelly Sandwich is a great ROM both in performance and stability (do a bit tricky in instalation) And you can expect a great deal of support from its creator, wich is constantly bringing updates and bug fixes
my combinations :
ICS :
for lasting battery life - XPERIA T v6,8 ROM with KTG ANZU v1.52 KERNEL
for good user interface - ULTIMATE HD v2.0.3 with RUSH KERNEL v10
for gaming - JELLY SANDWICH ROM v.8.5 with XARC KERNEL v2.0.431
My daily using combination - XPERIA T ROM v6.8 with RUSH KERNEL v10
+XPERIA T WALKMAN MOD
+XPERIA T UI MOD
+XPERIA S LOCKSREEN
+SMALL APPS
+CYBERSHOT CAMERA MOD V6.5.2
+DARK BLUE PLAYSTORE MOD

Hi.
My LT26 is actually on rom stock .211 (tried .96, better battery but trouble with camefa focus).
Was is a good rom for JB 4.2.2 (and what kernel with it) ?
It seems that 4.3 roms are still in testing sequence ?
Thks.
in my opinion the 4.3 rom is more stable than the 4.2.2's I've been using it daily since it's release and never any issues

4.2 rom
I think... PAC rom might be want you are looking for, but I'm not sure... :-?
Different flavours...
Hello,
during the last few months, I tried several roms. If you rely on HDMI and want to have the best from your camera (but not the newest features), you should stick with modifications of the Xperia rom.
Most of the time I had SlimBean on my Xperia S, but they have for now finished the development, stopped with a (in my opinion very good) 4.2.2 stable version. For me it worked perfectly on a everyday basis, stable, fast, and with a very nice all-black interface (as most roms offer now). You can download it on their website. And here is the link to the according xda-thread. But many links on that forum thread are now dead, as the downloads have been moved to the "Old Releases" section on the website. If you want to use another kernel with it, I chose the OpenSEMC beta2 kernel, but I did not find any differences in comparison to the stock SlimBean kernel. Don't use 3.4 kernels with the 4.2.2 SlimBean Roms! SlimBean relies on 3.0 kernels, here is a discussion about this topic.
But now I wanted to have some android 4.3 running, and so far I see only two options for that:
The PAC beta1 which I have currently installed (still some issues there, but is OK for daily use and FAST), and the AOSP alpha1 which I have not tested so far.
I hope this helped you a little bit! If so -> thanks-button is waiting
RC2 kernel should be the same as slim bean hence not noticing any difference.
I'm still on aosp 4.3 and it's still consistently smooth and fast

OpenSEMC beta2 with SlimBean, NOT the RC2
Hello,
as corrected by now, I made a mistake in my post above, it is the OpenSEMC beta2 kernel you need for the use with SlimBean, NOT the RC2.
In this post is an according link (second one).
Any forecast about a stock JB 4.3 launch for XS? When?
Custom rom
Advantages:it's just simple and has a vanilla builts which are more lighter than
Gapp builts
it has a maximum customizations of android
switching between apps is very smooth
save more ram because there is no apps run in background compared to ported roms
u can switch between mod systemless launchers without any problem
Disadvantage(Just In Vince )
Scrolling are lagging alot compared to ported rom
doesn't have any official features such as ; app floating, quick reply and game turbo
has alot of bug
Ported rom
advantagesHas official features such as: app floating, quick reply and game turbo
scrolling is much better than custom roms so far
more stability
DisadvantagesSwitching between apps not smooth like custom rom
it isn't light like custom roms
take more ram compared to custom roms
maybe lag in some applications because of ram usage
So it Depends on your need
