No you need unlocked boot loader and custom recovery to obtain Root..if you have a Verizon device or so you could try weaksauce temp Root method but it doesn't work with international device....

Hello,
Has anyone made a mod that would add the sound settings shortcut to the volume OSD as seen on many Samsung phones (and probably others)? If not, could anyone point me in the right direction so I can make the mod myself?
Thanks!

Hmm, flash CM, its build in there

I'd rather not flash a custom ROM if I can just modify the necessary apk. AFAIK there are still issues with custom 4.3 ROMs and App Ops is huge to me so flashing an earlier version isn't worth it for me either.

I am very interested in this too!
I just ended up installing PA as they have a stable 4.3 release now. However I did find that I'd have to edit the framework.jar so if I get around to it I'll still try to get the mod to work for others who want it but want the stock f/w.

I rooted my HTC one x and got the MaximusHD 21.0.0 ROM on it. When I turned my phone on everything seemed to be working. I restored all my apps and then rebooted my phone and inserted my SIM card. But I wasn't getting any signal and I remember reading that IMEIs can be lost or something like that so I checked my IMEI and it says unknown. When I turn on mobile data it says disconnected because service unavailable. I think it's a problem with the radio. Plz help me. If there's a way to fix, tell me how plz. If I need to install anything please give the link to download. Btw I'm a noob at these things so explain what to do in detail.

Is WiFi working? If not did you flashed the boot.img of the Rom via fastboot?
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk
Yes WiFi is working fine. It's just the mobile data and no signal. And because of this I can't call or text or receive calls and texts.

I forgot to mention that the baseband also says unknown

Try re-flashing baseband & maybe radios. Note that those are two completely different partitions. Maybe do some research on this as I don't know the specifics to the One X.

So do

So I should look for some zip files of a different radio and baseband?
Try reflashing the firmware.zip for your phone if nothing works
But because of re-locking bootloader it will wipe all data so make a backup
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk
I reflashed the firmware and the radio is now working. I'm getting signal now and can call/text/use mobile data. Thanks so much

Here it is. Put it into system/priv-app and change the permission to to rw-r-r (644) and reboot and see if it works.
Edit: I just tried it and it doesn't display the album artwork. I don' t know what else it needs to show it.
hi guys,
anybody has an idea how this live wallpaper works? is it based on location? i haven't seen it working since i was on jellybean, be it stock rom or bad boyz rom. i'm in the philippines, is it location based? but i already tried runnning a VPN, and it still wont work. it just says connecting, 10%, then a sprint page comes up saying no internet connection
thanks
Hey guys, in the latest gpe rom is an entry in the settings app with the HTC weather, how do I use it? I can't see any app in my drawer Or somewhere else.

Ah okay, thank you !

Is it worth disabling it if we don't have the dotview case or is the app somehow connected to other desirable components of the device?
