Hello,
Has anyone made a mod that would add the sound settings shortcut to the volume OSD as seen on many Samsung phones (and probably others)? If not, could anyone point me in the right direction so I can make the mod myself?
Thanks!

Hmm, flash CM, its build in there
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 4 mit Tapatalk 4
I'd rather not flash a custom ROM if I can just modify the necessary apk. AFAIK there are still issues with custom 4.3 ROMs and App Ops is huge to me so flashing an earlier version isn't worth it for me either.

I am very interested in this too!
I just ended up installing PA as they have a stable 4.3 release now. However I did find that I'd have to edit the framework.jar so if I get around to it I'll still try to get the mod to work for others who want it but want the stock f/w.

Default is .mp3, not .ogg. Google it, download it, and convert it

First off all wrong section.
Second just download a custom stockrom open it with 7zip or something and look for system/media/ringtones extract it and convert it to ogg yourself.
The lazyness in this request is definitely over 9000.

"Not this one", "not that one", "must be longer than 25 seconds". Wow. Such attitude. I hope you're paying them well

Just wondering if any devs could get this working on the Play. Would be a nice change from the normal open apps screen on ICS and Jellybean roms

I meant as a flashable zip for other roms. I'm not that much of a PA fan so using that rom just for the app switcher isn't my thing
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Making this flashable is pretty much impossible.
You have to mod this on the computer to get it working

Post your cm10 systemui.apk and framework-res.apk and ill try.
And its "CyberScopes"
I see it's not compatible with our device.
Seems it's hardware based requirement and not software as I am running 4.1 already

I heard that titanium backup was not working for the most part with 4.4, has anyone been able to get there messaging to restore or found a work around? I tried TB but to no avail. I haven't tried ROM Toolbox yet, I'll give that a try here soon. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Well, nvm..... TB just updated their app to support 4.4.

For anyone wanting to know, TB will work with 4.4 dalvik, but will not work with ART.

ART is still very experimental right now, when I need to do a backup/restore I have been needing to switch to dalvik, then back to ART when completed.

Hi guys!
This phone has a lot of ROM! (maguro) and I was wondering, what is the fastest/smoother ROM you ever tested?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Threads like these are already there, also theyre not allowed to be created so every developer gets a fair share of what's best for the users. It wouldn't be fair if everyone said one rom.

For me (speed and stability) the best is CM10.2 and Carbon.
Mod Edit
"Best" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
