I'm not sure. I bought it secondhand and it came with a custom ROM already.

In that case, try making a goldcard (search the forum for a guide) and use a WWE version. Be sure to use the latest RUU (2.13.707.1 I think).
Edit: Try this, http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe
You can also go to htcdev.com and try the gingerbread upgrade, I believe that RUU is a universal one.

Can't extract ROM.zip

Hi all! I'm trying to put my Hox back to stock but can't extract the rom.zip
Any help greatly received

From where are you trying to extract the rom.zip?? What are you trying to do exactly?
If you want to go back to full stock, you can either restore a nandroid backup or run a RUU for your device...
I'm using the guide on here, it says I need to extract the ROM.zip from the ruu then flash them, relock the boot loader then run the RUU, I'm running cm10.1 at the moment.

To run a RUU, you need to download the ruu, lock yoir bootloader and the run the ruu with admin privileges... That's it...
Which ruu are you using? What is your version-main??
I'm trying to use ruu 3.14.401.31 cid htc-001

I think you must restore nandroid backup.
Dowload this ruu : http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
Lock your Bootloader : fastboot oem lock
Run the ruu with admin privileges.. You will be full stock once again.!

You cannot extract ROM.zip from RUU anymore
HTC encrypt them.
Why do all the guides say to extract the ROM.zip? Sorry people a little confused :-/

What is the problem here?? Just lock your bootloader and run the ruu with admin privileges. It will take you back to full stock. In some ruus you can extract, in some you can't. It's just the way it is!

im trying to explain u that. in my concept i think that a revolutionary phone and a carrier contained phone don't have same features because the revolutionary phone is build for developing purpose and a carrier contained phone is build for normal use.

Guys ! help needed urgently to gofromrooted htc one m8 eye lollipop to marshmallow.!!

Helllo bros.. !!!, Actually I am having htc one m8 eye(india) on lollipop , rooted nd unlocked, but now i full unrooted it via supersu full unroot option. And stock recovery installed. I tried command fastboot oem lock . Nd still i cant install marshmallow rom . I srzly need to go to marshmallow nd come back to full stock(stock recovery, locked bootloader) . Urgent help needed !!!
Unrooting doesn't work, you need the stock, never rooted ROM in order to update. You'll need to look for an RUU for your version (if there is one) or the stock (never rooted) TWRP backup.
Locking bootloader isn't needed to OTA update, although it is needed to RUU.
Thats what i need links nd method !!!
