There is no free solution yet, you need to pay for an unlock code

Sorry but this isn't correct. You can't unlock it by flashing a Ruu. I you need to buy unlock code or use a xtc clip at present.

I had my Wildfire unlocked using revolutionary method... Previously I was locked to Orange UK.. I just flashed the RUU (Asia India) from shipped roms first; then I used the revolutionary tool - AlphaRevX.... Only issue I had was no mobile network.. I flashed the latest radio img for wildfire using fastboot... I never bought or used an unlock code from anyone...

Are you sure it was locked in the first place?
The cid is hidden away in a partition we can't get to, I don't think revolutionary changes the cid because if it did the alpharev team would know about it and it would have been mentioned before, an ruu flashes original software which is also most probably locked as the carriers would complain to google for making such a simple way to unlock there phones.

Yup I'm damn sure Myhtc was locked... I tried using other operator's sim cards..

Hello,
I have to go back to stock ROM with my Desire for warranty return...
it was rooted with unrevoked
still S-ON
HBOOT 0.93.0001
I read so many things that I can't find the right process.
which RUU should I use (Orange France)
Thanks for your precious help
PS: don't pay attention to my signature, it's another phone
There is no Orange RUU, therefore the 2.3.3 RUU from htcdev.com is the only RUU that will keep your warranty although you may just have to deal with HTC directly

The cdma unlock only works because our phones don't have a sim. You can unlock in similar fashion with a xtc clip [if you do have a sim]. No true soft unlock [and by that I mean compromising a particular memory address] has been found yet. So, umm can you flash a cdma rom? Sure. Might it brick your device? Quite possibly. Would I try it? Hell no. Go to a shop [that has a clip] and get them to unlock it... Probably run you 10-15 bucks. Hope that helps.
Rob
Tried a ROM of CDMA on my s-off desire hd and it bricked it. Good thing I could go onto recovery and use my backup

So, you have flashed only the rom or the hboot too?
Bc the idea is to flash the unlockable hboot of cdma phones, then install a gsm rom with a cdma hboot.
hello,
I own a DHD which is branded to a French telecom SFR. its already S-Off and running android 2.3.5 with software number 3.13. As i am writing now i have tried so many different methods to root, debrand and flash a custom rom but nothing happens.
I even tried AAHK , which promted me to download and i agreed by pressing "y" in the cmd. it went on to download the firmware for the downgrade. After the download it booted into the bootloader and nothing happend. The sd card wasnt check for anything. So i made some more research and it looks like i had to create a gold card. So i created the gold card ,placed the downloaded downgrade firmware (PD98IMG.zip) to the root of the gold card and booted into HBOOT. when i got into it , this was what happend.
SD Checking...
Loading...[PD98DIAG.ZIP]
No image!
Loading...[PD98DIAG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!
Loading...[PD98DIMG.zip]
Wrong image!
Loading...[PD98DIMG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!
this process took more than 30-40 mins. After, it just went back to HBOOT without doing nothing.i dont know what to do anymore because i have tried everything but its not working. Has anybody ever downgraded and rooted this type of DHD before.?? i am wondering if AAHK suports software no. 3.13.
SOmeone please help me on what to do.
I hope somebody can help you mate. Just out of curiosity, did it come stock with Gingerbread?

Hi all! I'm trying to put my Hox back to stock but can't extract the rom.zip
Any help greatly received
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
From where are you trying to extract the rom.zip?? What are you trying to do exactly?
If you want to go back to full stock, you can either restore a nandroid backup or run a RUU for your device...
I'm using the guide on here, it says I need to extract the ROM.zip from the ruu then flash them, relock the boot loader then run the RUU, I'm running cm10.1 at the moment.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
To run a RUU, you need to download the ruu, lock yoir bootloader and the run the ruu with admin privileges... That's it...
Which ruu are you using? What is your version-main??
I'm trying to use ruu 3.14.401.31 cid htc-001

I think you must restore nandroid backup.
Dowload this ruu : http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
Lock your Bootloader : fastboot oem lock
Run the ruu with admin privileges.. You will be full stock once again.!

You cannot extract ROM.zip from RUU anymore
HTC encrypt them.
Why do all the guides say to extract the ROM.zip? Sorry people a little confused :-/

What is the problem here?? Just lock your bootloader and run the ruu with admin privileges. It will take you back to full stock. In some ruus you can extract, in some you can't. It's just the way it is!

im trying to explain u that. in my concept i think that a revolutionary phone and a carrier contained phone don't have same features because the revolutionary phone is build for developing purpose and a carrier contained phone is build for normal use.
few weeks ago i bought htc one x from a repairer this phone is stucked on htc logo repairer says he has chaged its power ic and make him alive. im trying to recover this phone by unlocking its bootloader and flash a cwm recovery and try to restore beckup but md5 does'nt match and also try to flash hboot by command line but noting works and i tried to download ASIA TW RUU JB.EXE after 90% firefox/ iexplorer can not be able to download ruu from android ruu.
sorry 4 my poor grammer
