[Q] Samsung GT-S7560M Recovery App - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have already rooted my Samsung GT-S7560M using Galaxy S Ace 2 X Root kit.rar from page 3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2019146&page=3
I want to install Recovery app because this phone it's a bit awkward to access. I boot up the phone, and using ADB use 'adb reboot recovery' to access it even though ClockworkMod Recovery already installed,
Clockworkmod's app might be an easier way to access recovery since you're already rooted. I also have the yellow triangle.
I am running Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Can anyone suggest which of the clockworkmod's apps to intstall from the google play store ?

[Q] Cannot get into recovery *android with yield sign*

Ok so i got my nexus today and it is fantastic. I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone no problem. installed clockwork with rom manager though, I turned the phone off and then while pressing vol up and down went into recovery again. Rebooted into clockwork and bam we're good. I rebooted to move some files over and when i tried to get into recovery again i get the android dude with the yield sign over and over again. Im not sure why this is happening, any suggestions?
I was having the same problem at first. Problem was fixed by "flash clockwork mod" and then reboot into recovery. After that I had no problems.

I also initially tried to install CWM thru rom mananger but after a reboot or 2, booting into recovery always led do a android with red triangle and I'd have to re-install (this was happened many times)
To finally fix it I downloaded the CWM .img and flashed it using fastboot on my laptop while the phone was in the bootloader. Recovery image hasn't died since.
Means image isn't applied.
Get Rom manager from the market and it will flash image.
Done.
Android with yield sign is stock Android recovery.

Unable to enter recovery mode

I recently got a GSM gNex and last night I decided to upgrade to JB using the OTA links posted here in the forum. I unlocked the boot loader, flashed twrp's recovery, installed SuperSU and then the JB 4.1.1 OTA file and everything went smoothly. Since after the upgrade, on my PC when I connect my gNex, I'm getting a "Fast boot read error" and my PC stopped recognizing the device. I switched to my Mac and got everything I needed done. Why am I here? Obviously I've been able to go into twrp recovery to do a lot of this stuff. But now, anytime I try to go into recovery mode, I get the screen with android lying on back with the exclamation point. I have to flash recovery (I've tried CWM, CWM touch, optimus prime touch) using fast boot every time I have to go into recovery. I tried going to recovery using ROM manager and that gets me to same situation. (Android on back).
Any thoughts?

If 4.1.1 is anything like 4.0.x, you'll have to rename/remove this file: /system/etc/install-recovery.sh

Problem flashing CWM Recovery into Sprint GS2

I was able to use Odin1.81 to restore the stock ROM (2.3.4) with root to my S2. Everything was good. Then I wanted to flash CWM Recovery. I tried two methods:
1) Installed ROM Manager from Google Play. Install CWM Recovery from there. Device selected as 'Epic 4G Touch'. This didn't work after reboot. Instead of entering CWM Recovery, the device went to 'Android System Recovery 3e' menu. It seems that Android has some built-in protection system from being flashed.
2) Restored stock ROM again, then flashed CWM Recovery 5 from Odin1.81. Now I could enter CWM Recovery, but I noticed the power on logo changed from "Samsung Galaxy sII" to "Samsung Galaxy sII I9100". A yellow triangle with an exclamation symbol appeared in the center of the screen. This bothered me a lot.
Does anyone know what correct steps should I follow to root my Sprint S2+install CWM Recovery?
Thanks in advance.
For number one. NEVER use rom manager like they brick our phones.
Use sfhubs el29 one click.

Use sfhub's auto root utility or download and flash Agat's safe kernel + recovery (which can be done through ODIN).
Then use Triangle Away to remove the triangle.

OK as was mentioned DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER! Unless you want a pretty paperweight.
Use sfhub's one-click(s) to add stock+root. You can use either the EL29 for GB http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1433101 or FF18 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1721229 for ICS.
Then use sfhub's Autoroot to add a CWM recovery [either Rogue for GB or Agat's for ICS] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342728
Find and follow the instructions. They are very detailed and precise.
I would also HIGHLY recommend doing a whole lot of reading. Read the stickies, read the OPs and the follow up posts too. A little time and patience will bring rewards. Haste and carelessness will surely kill your device.
Good luck.
Thank you, daniel4653, garwynn and leaderbuilder. You are all very helpful. I am going to try EL29 and Autoroot script.

My Galaxy Nexus not Booting

I rooted my Galaxy Nexus using Nexus Root Toolkit (v1.6.3). It rooted properly and I checked it using rootcheck app. it said me that my phone is rooted successfully. I installed sinhala language pack application and restarted the phone. Phone is not restarting and stucked at the boot animation.
I am trying to install android 4.0.2 using Odin3. system installed. but the issue is same. again boot animation is playing and not proceeding. please help me to flash the phone and make my phone a fresh device. my phone was working with android 4.2.1 when I root it.
A. Lose the toolkit
B. Lose ODIN
C. READ and do it the right way

Galaxy Note 2 root access issue

I have Galaxy Note 2 N7100
My home button doesn't work, so I am using a application called ' Back Button' to get onscreen buttons.
I installed CM 12.1 unofficial Android 5.1 ROM
After I installed this rom my root access is not working. I tried to check my root access with Root Checker and it says Root access is not properly installed.
I tried to update the SuperSU binary from the Supersu app and it didn't fix it.
I tried ROM manager to boot into recovery mode but it didn't work because my root access is not working.
I tried Quickroot app and it didn't work.
Basically I am not able to reboot into recovery mode because my home button is not working.
And I am not able to provide root access to apps which can help me reboot into recovery mode because my root access is not working.
So I am stuck here in a deadlock situation..
Please help me.
