I installed the coloros 2.0 beta, but I have problems with the easy-cover waking up the phone all the time. If I have the phone in my pocket the cover moves on the front when walking and making the screen to turn on. Would it be possible to a rooted phone to change something so the cover wont wake the phone?

Got pretty much the same with colorOS 1.2.
Same issue. I'm hoping someone comes up with a fix or at least figures out which of the umpteen zillion Oppo system apps that shows up in TB is what controls this so it can be frozen/uninstalled. BTW it's not the one that is called Leather... I have that frozen and the cover still activates the screen
Has anyone else gotten scratches on the screen protector from the frame around the window on the easy-cover? Already after just 5 days I have started to see scratches on the screen protector on my phone.

I'm trying that module right now, and on 2.0 it doesn't seem to help much as there's this competing lockscreen that appears designed for that window size. Which is great and all, but I just want that crap disabled. Bothers my OCD too much lol.

Same "cover" type as the LG G2 which, in my scratched pretty bad so I expect scratches on the 7a too. Fortunately there is protective film on the gorilla screen. I prefer the Galaxy flip cover setup with glass see trough. I am looking on Ebay for the Spigen kinda thin real glass protective screens. No luck yet.
I don't have any scratch on my screen.
Btw, isn't this smart cover supposed to let us interact with the phone just by the window ? As answering a phone call... I didn't find the option.

It does that, atleast with ColorOS 2.0 beta. Really disturbing that it turn on the screen when closing the cover, with the screen turned off.

Cool thx! They could have done it with 1.2....
Mine does not turn on when closing the cover.
With ColorOS 2.0 the phone works a lot better.
I actually bought another cover online that have a magnet so it will hold together and won't turn on the phone by accident.
I am using Tempered glass protector on mine so no scratches.

I was wondering how screen protectors fit on the screen. All the screen protectors I look at mention that the screen has rounded edges. Does the screen round down right at the edge or is there a little space to add a screen protector properly?
I was wondering if it's like the iPhone. I know when I try to add a screen protector to an iPhone 6 there is no wiggle room because of the way the glassrounds off right at the edge of the "screen panel"

If you buy a good one, the screen protector ends at almost exactly where the glass curves away. I'm using Spigen's and they fit pretty nicely.

Does the glass curve away right at the end of the viewing panel/LCD screen or is there some space between the edge of the viewing panel and the curve.
It's hard to tell from the pictures and there are no stores close to me that have the HTC 10 on display so I can't even go look at one in person.

Not sure if you can see them clearly tho. In the 3rd photo you can see where the screen protector ends. And that's almost where the glass starts to curve out.

Thanks for the pictures. I hat how companies are rounding the screens like that. Then the screen protectors can't cover the whole glass front.
I gave up on a tempered glass one for now and not a fan of PET, went with the Unicorn Beetle case which has a built on one and its decent. atleast the whole screen is protected. I don't use the fingerprint so I wish the hole for that wasn't there to prevent and dust from getting in there but o well. Its pretty tight against the screen. but its the plastic type which always wears out fast in my experience but its great for now.

Cases will not protect the large camera lens from getting scratched. They only prevent shattering, and only if the case is thick enough to extend beyond the camera lense. Even with a thick case, the lense could still easily be scratched since it is only plastic and not Gorilla Glass like the screen. What you said is not helpful to many people.
The point of my post was this:
This phone comes with a camera lense protector pre-installed. Whether the user wants to remove that or not is up to them, but whether it was removed regrettably, or kept attached and worn down over time, some people will need to replace the protector for some reason or another. This is the only lense protector I've seen so far, and I only came across it by complete accident and thought I would share it with my fellow V20 users.

Got these to protect while using a thin case. They installed quick and work great without distorting picture quality.

Did you have the factory screen protector installed also with these or does it not fit with the factory screen protector on the camera?
Sent from my VS995 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I'm not sure what the factory protector is. I ended up sending these back because some landscape photos I took looked washed out some, plus I swapped my thinner leather case for the Pierre Cardin that protects the lenses. When I took them off, I noticed the actual lens was recessed some into the plastic covering over the whole assembly. I'm assuming that maybe that is the factory protection? If so, it's a great idea because it's recessed enough to keep the actual lens from touching anything when laying the phone down.
But... is it only 2 circles and not the whole glass? ... LOLi no wonder it has 3 stars on amazon. Any object could hit anywhere else outside those 2 circles and the glass would still break... But im glad to say that after soooo many drops (really hard drops including street and a wall by accident), my phone still looks brand new and no crack on the camera LOL (yes i do have a poetic revolution cover). im starting to believe that only a percentage of the sales came with that defective glass because some people said that they were doing nothing that could affect the glass and all of the sudden it just broke on them. and... well that hasnt happened to me and i bought it on september (exchanged for a new one) and arrived on december. But if the glass were to break on me i would just buy it on ebay or amazon and not just this 2 pitiful circles lol.

i assume they come with the same plastic from factory and so the best option is to leave it on. (i havent remove my plastic yet)
The supplied protector only protects the boarder, the out camera lens, to use these lens protector, you need to default one's, with time these protector will fall off if the default one has been removed as the small size will not hold it in place.
I have these on my phone from two weeks after I got my phone on release date, the reason is that I have plenty of these, but only for the large camera, had to get some smaller ones for the wide angle lens.
I have them on up to now, and they have been perfect.

Got my s20 ultra in the mail today! I had purchased a whitestone dome glass screen protector! but low and behold the s20 ultra has a film screen protector pre installed! I'm debating removing it for my nice tempered glass one as the fold had left a nasty taste in my mouth when people were removing it and it was breaking their screen. I wonder if this "native" protector will be the same. Ya this phone doesnt fold and its just a screen protector... but hey you never know!
So my question is are you going to replace the protector that came with the phone as soon as you get it?
From what I have seen, this screen protector is the same as the one that comes with the S10 line.
You will not damage the phone screen is you remove the preinstalled protector like you would on the fold.
To answer your overall question, I will keep it on until i receive my tempered glass screen protector.

Good to know! I kinda figured seeing as this is a "regular" phone that wasnt going to damage the screen. BUT you never know! Samsung did omit that information on the fold at the start. lol I will probably switch mine out.... I really dont like the feel of the film one.
I got mine today and the screen protector was all scratched up. It felt rough when I touched it. I was worried the actual screen was messed up so I peeled it off. It was just the film that was a problem. It would have driven me crazy. I kept the film on my Note 10 Plus and would have done the same here but I would have peeled it off eventually anyway.

Is there a skin available to cover the hinge portion of the Z Fold 2 ? Just looking for the hinge area..
I would imagine that won't end up being a thing because when the fold is open, the hinge disappears inside the phone meaning there may not be enough clearance for a skin on the hinge. Also, you wouldn't want the skin to somehow come off inside the phone while it's open. That being said, I understand where you're coming from and would love some hinge protection.
I have a transparent thin film on the hinge. So far has not been a problem. Its really super thin to create any issues i think. My thinking: samsung care plus wouldn't cover scratches on the hinge and this phone is too precious to have any, but they do cover hinge issues like squeaky hinge or any permanent hinge issues, so IF anything develops which i highly doubt, care plus it is...

I purchased these and received them this weekend. They actually sent 10 of them even though I purchased four. It took me three tries to get it right, I kept getting the edges too low at the top or bottom. If I didn't have 10 of them I probably wouldn't have tried it the third time. But it came out pretty much perfect. It wraps around the edges and seems like it might catch when opening but it doesn't at all. Overall I'd recommend this. Excuse some pock lint.

Hi so recently i feel cautious about inner screen so naturally i would be looking for a screen protector for the screen. In came the screen protector which is matte. Naturally putting it on the first time it was fine when folding it. Couple of weeks later, found a stuck pixel ( a mixture of green and red can be seen) on my screen. With that said looking online, tried using software, the stuck pixel software ( you can search it on playstore, very popular with high ratings) and it works, kinda off since after a while my middle of the crease started having a blackdot in the bottom middle. After removing the screen protector that I install, it started too blacken out everything and sort of having the green line across the screen. With that said, i then restarted with the gut feeling that maybe it can clear out most of it but no it got worst, whole screen started flickering and more. In any case , with worries about it then I started looking for parts online and luckily there is a parts for it , just for the screen itself cost ard SGD400++ on alixpress, without thinking much , bought it and started asking the seller of any guides of installing it and yeap no guides for it . Luckily theres a shop around whose willing to fix it and yeap nice screen again. With that said with everything, just wanna say handle your device with real care, like real care and also screen protector its a risk i would say. Worth a try but you will never know if your device will have the same issues as mine in the coming future. My usage of the device is real heavy since i mostly used it for gaming, read manga, articles so the number of times flipping it open and close is alot.

You can only use TPU based protector, very thin and soft plus hard to apply properly.
However it's still better than not using any protector since we know the foldable screen is kidda easy to get scratched.

I hope your phone is doing fine now and is in a good shape. Weirdly, my Mix fold came with pre-installed screen protectors from the box. Now the inner screen protector started to crack in the crease, but the main display is unaffected. I don't know if I should carefully remove it or if I can stick around with it some more months.

Well if iam in your position i would removed it since like i said it would probably ruin the screen beneath it ....since also like it has been said that screen protector are not supposed to be there.
Just removed the screen protector, and the annoying cracks are finally gone! Inner display seems clearer and touch feels better. Will never apply any screen protector on the big screen after seeing your post. It is has good protection when it is folded. What a relief from my side.

I also just had the screen cracked due to an obstacle when folded in.
Where I live there is no service to repair and replace it.
