I am pretty sure you can get Z2 SystemUI from Xperia Z2 section. Maybe from a system dump.

hey i was wondering if anyone can cobine the lockscreen out of SGSII v9 rom with the [THEME] ICS Galaxy S2-S3 Transformation as i think it will look good together. if its possible.. i tried decompiling and merging and compiling framework-res myself but phone spazzed out and everything fc'ed lol :good:
you need to use framework-res.apk of v9 and framework.jar of v9 decompile them and then replace the .png of the theme (S2 and S3!)
and yu will get the lockscreen

hey guys, i wanted to change the status bar to transparent
so i followed this
"So, I've found transparent status-bar on 4pda. It made by tokar77.
Circle-battery mod included.
Replace LGhome3.apk and LGsystemUI.apk at system/app. Set rw-r--r-- permissions
Replace android.policy.jar in system/framework."
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2225317&page=3
then this reply :
For LGSystemUI.apk deodexed and LGHome3.apk deodexed no problem if u have odex system, just copy and replace app to your System apps and delete odex file. But android.policy.jar deodexed will not work if u have odex framework files,, all u need to have is deodexed framework files or moded android.policy.jar which is odex,
i moved the odex files, now the phone won't get past the LG logo :'( :'(
I HAVE ALL ORIGINAL FILES, please what do i do :'(
did i ruin my phone for ever ?

Just installed a new SystemUI for my phone but I want to delete that glow on the upper tabs (Notifications & Quick Settings tabs)
How can I fix it? Should I decompile the apk?

My device is Xperia M C1904.
This tutorial helped me editing SystemUI:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2203166
Once you have edited the apk, copy the META-INF and AndroidManifest.xml from the old (original) apk to the new generated apk, this is for preservating the signatures and avoid force closes.
Once you edit the apk, move it to your sdcard, and the do the following:
1.- Copy the apk to /system and THEN...
2.- Set permissions just like the pic attached
3.- Then move it to /system/app and overwrite the original
4.- Reboot
That's it.
I have used the SystemUI's from this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUP...feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_448926155
Finally fixed mine
Hello guys, i modded systemui for my z1 compact by myself and i replaced it with root explorer, i also deleted. Odex file but after reboot systemui didnt work, does anyone know how to change it and make it work, i was doing thst on xperia E and it worked, dont know why doesnt work here
Maybe you have old frameworks(from xperia e)installed?
I'm also having similar problems trying to modify Systemui.apk. I've tried it with apktool for android (ver. 4.1) and even without any modification, after recompile I have no nav bar or wallpaper. Maybe XperienceD could shed some light on this for us. Please?

Modding is best done with deodexed files so if you've just modded the odexed SystemUI then you should have left the odex file in place as that has resources the SUi needs to work, whereas deodexing essentially puts those resources into the apk.

99% of the time I edit manually for reasons explained in my Apk & Theming thread so you'll have to report any issues with an all in one tool to it's developer.
