Hi! I just upgraded Motorola Boot Services and found the new animation for fall (I'm from Argentina), but as I have unlocked bootloader, I don't have the new bootlogo. Could someone extract it? Thank you very much in advance.
Based on reversegear's post on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701723&page=7 I made the boot.bin and another one based on the first frame of the animation, where the motorola logo is black. If anyone wants I can make the spring one too.
Just unzip it and flash with fastboot.

There you go.
Did someone check if the original fall one has the right color? I converted the image with a silly program and I'm not sure (I'm using the black one).

You unzip it, reboot to bootloader(you can use "adb reboot bootloader") and run "fastboot flash logo logo.bin". Change logo.bin to the correct filename

That is a link to the stock recovery from ITL33d.
I have confirmed it can be flashed in fastboot to get back stock recovery after a failed attempt to load CWM.

What about ITL41D which is the more common retail version? Presumably it would need to be this for warranty purposes?
By the way, there is a post in the GN Developer section about "Insecure Boot.img" - which is a modified ITL41D boot image. According to that thread, modifying one value in that file will make it back to stock again but I cant figure out how to mount it and edit it as Im not a linux guru.
Would any of these help?

Just tried Peter Alfonso's but it says theres no android-info.txt in the zip when there is :/
If its just the recovery.img you are after, extract from the zip then do fastboot boot recovery.img to test booting into it. If you are happy it works, you can do fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Good stuff. Placing it there just prevents you from having to type or paste the full path to the image.
Edit: I'd make doubly sure this method works with the GN, it can be sensitive to image size IIRC.

LogoMe is one option. I'm sure there is a way to do it via dd, but I haven't seen anyone post how to.

Just worked this out for giggles: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=68566001#post68566001
dd the correct osmod sbl dump (corresponding to the bootloader you're using) to get the updated Google logo and lock icons.. :good:
After unlock your device, it will show a warning message instead the original green motorola logo. I did some modifications on logo.bin and it will back to original logo.
To do it, simply do:
fastboot flash logo logo_file_name
PS: Remember to use fastboot packed with factory image.
ADDED CWM FLASHABLE IMAGES!!!
logo.zip - original Moto G logo image without warning message
logo_gpe.zip - GPE Moto G logo image without unlocked padlock

Via hex edit, man! I discovered that on header of file there's a mapping of boot type -> offset of image. =P So I changed offset of logo_unlocked to be the same as logo_boot.
so simple... double king!

Tried to flash and don't know what has happened the image is not what it should be. Could someone point me in the right direction to get the correct fastboot so I can reflash. Thanks

Hi!
Thank's a lot!!!
To do it, simply do:
fastboot flash logo logo_file_name
I am sorry, but im really noob, could you be more specific, should I go to recovery and flash it via flash from sd card or using adb?
sorry for noob question
If you doesn't unlocked your phone bootloader, you doesn't need it; if you're unlocked your phone bootloader you know what fastboot is.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by this exactly?
I have a problem with my Z1 Compact..
I followed this guide: http://dottech.org/147609/how-to-root-sony-xperia-z1-compact-on-android-4-3-jelly-bean-guide/
And after I have flashed the DoolLordkernel (fastboot flash boot boot.img) the phone is stuck in a bootloop. Normally i would just remove the battery - but this is not possible on the Z1 Compact..
So how do I get it out of bootloop? so i can get it into fastboot and flash a proper kernel/boot.img ?

Did someone manage to get out of this? I'm also in a boot loop after flashing boot.img. Even though I switch the phone off by the red reset button, whenever I try to turn the device on it goes again into the boot loop...
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Phew!! I got it working again!
Thanks God I diddn't need to go through that hassle after all (I mean: getting a stock firmware and flashing). I just flashed Z1c_DooMLoRD_AdvStKernel_FW-757_v04.img, which is a boot.img, and the phone booted again.
Now, may I please humbly swear a bit to whomever put out there a boot.img for the Xperia Z1 compact, that bricks the Xperia Z1 compact? If someone's interested, I closely followed the instructions from this link http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_amami and I run into a boot loop after flashing the boot.img included in cm-11-20140504-SNAPSHOT-M6-amami. So, be careful if someone wants to flash this rom.
Did you use the right version of the boot image file for your phone?
Don't forget that cm11 is still in development for these phones. There is no stable version yet.

If you're upgrading, just use RSD Lite to flash the official firmware. No modifications necessary.
I tried and it got stuck flashing modem now I can only get in to fastboot and sometimes into recovery but even flashing a backup does nothing.
