I would seriously donate money to someone via paypal if you can help me
Maybe try a stock kernal through odin? Im a NoOB but least if you can get in download mode you know u should be ok, from what ive done and read these phones are hard to brick!
Try clearing the cache in recovery mode.
EDIT: If you're able to provide information about your phone that would help a lot. What model, firmware, apps etc?
did a factory reset via download mode
seemed to fix it
should i get the phone replaced regardless ?
how do i know if it's an internal sd card issue ?

It is not. Probably old firmware problem (my did same thing a few times, though even on newer firmwares).
I'd recommend just to update to latest firmware.
Hello everyone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II (N7100) phone which will not turn on. This occurred after I attempted to enter recovery mode by pressing UP+HOME+POWER. The screen said something about an SD card (the message appeared very briefly). I removed the SD card, and found that my phone will no longer power on. I have tried putting the phone into download mode, pulling the battery, putting the phone into recovery mode, accessing the phone via ADB, all of which failed. The phone is not appearing as a USB device on my PC, and rather alarmingly, while plugged in, the charging light doesn't come on. I would try putting the SD card back in, but, rather foolishly, I wiped the card.
Is there anything that can be done for this phone, or am I going to have to return it to Samsung? I'm concerned about returning it because I had just installed a new ROM before the phone bricked itself, and so didn't get the chance to reset the custom ROM counter. If the phone doesn't turn on at all, is there any way of Samsung knowing if the phone has been modified?
hi, does anyone know the answer to this ? my N7100 recently did the same thing as well. thanks !
as u say it bricks, i think samsung cant tell whats inside, unless the counter binary still works
May be Battery died. ..charge it for few hrs and try again
scribbled from my note 2 (N7100)

Similar has happened to mine nothing is working so ive downloaded the stock firmware and a pit file and just waiting for a jig i bought to show up. I'm hoping the jig will put it to download mode so I can re partition and upload the stock firmware. if that works I swear ill never touch it again lol. But if anyone has already solved this in a reasonably easy way please enlighten us

same happened with me and I also tried the JIG but in vain.
Guys I feel sorry for your phones. As a friend mentioned up, usb jigs are not puting download mode. Sad to say but should send it to a Samsung service center.
In the end, I just sent the phone to Samsung. Even though I couldn't reset the flash counter (the phone died straight after flashing), I'm hoping Samsung don't notice. I'm pretty optimistic about them not noticing; after all, the phone is completely dead, so I don't think they'll be able to tell unless they have some kind of special gadget to read the flash counter.
if they have a special device to get to a point where they can read flash counter... that would probably fix it straight up
I had this on my note 1 and there was nothing i could do. I sent it off for someone to jtag it but still noting so sold it broken for £150.

Very weird what appeared about the sd card? Why would that even appeared? I mean did you do something before going to recovery mode?

please details on your kernel version build number before having bricked!
Have you been running on old FW ?

My at&t Galaxy S3 appears to be hard bricked. I tried using the method of using an .img file to the external SD card, yet now I'm unable to boot using that image.
Previously I was able to boot using the .img file, I did a factory reset, and now I'm stuck.
Are there any options available to me or anything else I can try?
thanks for all your help.

You would need to provide more information to let us know what went wrong and what fix to apply. What caused the brick in the first instance? After you booted the first time using the recovery image, did you do a firmware restoration which is the sure fix to getting your phone back in working order? The recovery image only lets you get the phone back into booting mode. Thereafter, you need to work your way up the rest of the food chain via full firmware restoration. If you did a factory reset/wipe without first restoring your firmware, it's possible you may have wiped the recovery image card clean. If that's the case, you would need to create a new image and repeat the process all over.
I bricked my dad's phone a while back. Couldn't get to recovery or anything. Just a blank screen, couldn't tell if it was even on or off. We ended up sending it to a guy on Ebay that has a JTAG and he was able to fix it for us. I think we only paid $25 too. Got it back working within the week.
If you would like the guys name I can find it.

I believe an JTAG will be my only option if the USB jig doesn't work any magic. The only life I get out of my phone when plugged into my computer is the USB driver and if I pull the battery while plugged in the red light shines.
Yep. That is exactly what mine did.
Debrick
I got mine unbricked by making a dedrick sd card. I used a 32gb sd and partitioned it and it worked!
Hey guys me again, I have been trying since 2 hours to unbrick my 2 days old Galaxy tab s 10.5, After successfully rooting my new tablet I decided to make a back up of my stock system, I used TWRP recovery to do so, after booting successfully on TWRP, I wanted to make sure I will have a clean image, I manually erased every possible thing on my table by selecting every option on TWRP, once done and on my way to reboot, before quitting TWRP warn me that there wasnt any system, and even with this warning I quit. Result I bricked my tablet hopefully "soft", to get even better I remembered that I didnt had a micro sd card on my tablet and by consequence I must have erase TWRP and every possible restore solution, the table get stuck with the Boot logo and thats it... I can get at least into download mode,. I tried Kies 3 but Im getting an error that my device is not recognized and for Odin I do think is connected but I dont know how to use or what to install or what to do. And I don't get it why my program seems so buggy and I can´t select any of those options.
at least I could root my phone easily.
ps: I did try every possible combination to get into recovery mode and is just impossible there is no way.
if anybody rescue me I seriously cant thank you enough I googled around and did search a lot on the XDA forums, I'm now more scared to tweak around and make things worst , and maybe if not to late permanently dammage it.

Hey maxal, thx for replying, my English is really not the best, if you think its not understandable I will re edit and try again.
You will need to find and download your firmware from Sammobile http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T800/BTU/
and use odin to reflash your stock firmware.
Read this too. http://theunlockr.com/2014/08/09/how-to-unroot-the-samsung-galaxy-tab-s-10-5-wifi/
TURNING THE DARNED THING OFF:
Here's the problem. If you are at the Samsung splash screen or boot looping Recovery, you cannot turn your tablet off by just pressing the power button and you can't pull the battery. This prevents you from getting back into Recovery or download mode to restore your nandroid backup or use Odin
So here is what you do:
1) Plug your tablet into your computer (this is important!).
2) Hold down the home, volume down and power buttons until you boot into download mode. Once you are prompted, push the volume up button to enter download mode completely.
3) Now, once in download mode, hold down the power and volume down buttons (not the home button this time) until you screen goes blank (your tablet MUST be plugged into your computer for this to work!). Release the buttons and you will see the battery symbol on your screen. Your tablet is now off - thank god.
4) To enter Recovery mode, hold the home, volume up and power buttons down until Recovery loads.
5) Restore your nandroid backup if you have one.

Thank you so much Maxal I will do it so, indeed the text was terribly written I tried to make it better and more understandable, I read that actually Kies was the way to go for flashing back a bricked device, and odin was actually a risky thing, is that right ?

I believe kIes is for stock unrooted devices and Odin is for rooted devices, I may be wrong. I did get my self in a mess and I was stuck on the Samsung logo and with the help of the forum and what I have told you I managed to get my Tab S to turn off, I then boot in to download mode and used Odin to flash stock firmware again
all right almost done downloading the firmware, could you give me the tutorial you followed for bringing your tablet back to life ? or any good tutorial, Helping me to get out

I don't know which firmware you should have as I don't know where you are from, but I don't think it should make much difference, the firmware I gave the link for is the UK one.
Maybe someone else can help with a link for the correct firmware for you.

OK, Thanks.
But please keep in mind for the future that the load to your Tab better the original firmware that corresponds to its original CSC Region code. This can help you avoid some of the problems in the firmware flashing. How it may be defined, you can read in this thread:

Hi maxal,
Download via KIES will not check root If you do not connect the tablet to a PC. It only checks the serial number and model type of your Tab for search new updates firmware with determine the correct CSC Region code. You can even download the correct firmware by KIES to your PC without having to connect the tablet and then save the file firmware (this requires some tricks) and flash it via Odin. To do this, you need only enter the serial number and model type of the device in KIES menu Tools -> Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation. More details have here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58527780&postcount=5
In this case you no need connect the tablet to PC. It also confirms ashyx here:

my phone died on me. first it started to normal, or slow charge instead of fast charge and then it wouldnt charge at all. after sometime waiting it charged for a few days and then started saying the usb port ist moist and now it doesent charge at all again. if never been in the rain with the phone though. good for me is that it will stay on in twrp and download modus. i guess it charges just a little bit so it dont goes off. long story short i want to revert back to a samsung stock rom or at least to stock recovery and send the phone to a samsung repair center. i know u guys are thinking that with root my warrenty is void but back then with my note 1, s4 which where also rooted samsung made no fuse about it. a bit of googling revealed that alot of users had the same expirience with their note8/galaxy s8.
See if you can get into Download Mode then flash stock with Odin 3.13.1
windows says unrecognized usb device. i red that there are apps like mobile odin or flashfire but both are not developed anymore
Download Devbase ROM and put no root mode on and flash in TWRP
Extract recovery.img from stock firmware and put on phone and go to install and > images in TWRP and select the recovery.img of stock ROM and swipe to flash it to the recovery partition
Simple method and done!!
could not boot. invalid kernel lenght. thx very much for this! now samsung wont repair it for sure!!!!! you should be held accountable for the nonsense you posted!

I told you to flash the stock recovery.img to the recovery partition, if you are recieving this error you flashed to the system partition most likely, In that case, Try to clean your port and get download mode going , This would of worked fine if you flashed it to recovery.

Don't flash your phone custom if you don't know how to fix it afterwards, no-ones fault but your own, no-one forced you to do anything
Use IPA (alchohol) and a toothbrush to clean your port. Get in there with a light or a macro lens on a camera and see if there is dirt or a bad gold plate connector.Let it air out for a few minutes after the alchohol. Leave your phone plugged into the wall and see if it will charge.
@alvinator94 thx but i think its a bad component on the chargin port board. it charges every 50th try but on the pc i get the error usb device mallfunctioning.
@detection i know how ti fix it. just change the port and flash it via odin. just dont wanted to give up warrenty for possibloe touch issues. and given wrong advice instructions is indeed punishable. otherwise you wouldnt find any disclaimer etc in the OPs

wrong again. changing the software of a device you own doesent void warrenty. samsung would need to prrof that the damaged you want to remedy is coused by root. which should be preety hard. this is so in the usa and in the eu as well. send in alot of phone rooted phones to samsung and the internet is full of statements underlining my expirience. stop the circus please.
