Hello. I'm a new owner of an HTC One VX and I just succeeded in unlocking and rooting the device. I'm now looking for a custom ROM to flash. As far as I can tell, all of the ROMs posted on the xda forum for the device are based in some way on HTC Sense. I'm hoping for something that's more like stock Android. My question: are the ROMs developed for any other variants of the HTC One compatible with the One VX? Anyone tried flashing a ROM listed under another HTC One device and had success?
Nope. You can't and you shouldn't. The phones are different. You'll end up bricking your phone. Better leave it to the devs to port the ROMs.

anyone know if can be use nexus one rom in my rooted desire?
No, you can't just flash a Nexus One ROM to the Desire. However, there are plenty of ports of ROMs out there that effectively give you the Nexus One experience.

Hi,
I've bought a HTC One X on Monday and I wanted to know if you could flash a ROM without opening CMD and flashing boot.img. is it because my One X still has S-On?
Also I'm making a ROM and I would like the know your view about the LG UI 3.0 or the Prada ICS UI?

As far as the flashing of boot.img goes you are right. It's because of the S-ON.
Work is being done to fix that but is has not been solved yet. ref. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604300
No opinion about your ROM question though, but good luck!
If you are working on a rom with 2 different versions, you might better of putting that in an aroma installer. Let the persons then choose what they want.
Good luck, with the rom development.

Go on for the viperX
There are plenty of similar threads out there.
Please use the search function and try out the ROMs yourself. Nobody can tell you what you will like the most.

Hi all,
I want to change the rom of my htc one x, but while i'm searching, i've found a lot of rom.
So what is the best rom for my htc one x?
thanks
all of them
There is no best rom. Test them yourself and find out .... these questions usually and up in a flamewar between different rom users.
As i said, flash them and use them for a while. Not satisfied ..... flash another one
Thanks, but it's not very helpful.. lol

Guys,
The developer Trip was to my opinion one of the best dev when i had the one X. Where is he and does he makes roms or kernels for the M8.

If he does, he doesn't post them on XDA. Just did a search by user name, and he hasn't posted since July, and only developed recently for the One X and One (M7).
