No, you can't just flash a Nexus One ROM to the Desire. However, there are plenty of ports of ROMs out there that effectively give you the Nexus One experience.

Hello to all.
My question is very simple but I think is impossible, however I ask
Is possible to have dual boot for two Roms?
For example I have opendesire and nextsense and when I want play game I boot opendesire and for all day I have nextsense.

perhaps make a nandroid backup for both roms and flash whichever one you wanna use? i know it's pretty troublesome but just throwing it out on the table. lol.

as far as my limited knowledge knows, this is the only method. but if anyone else has got a better solution, i'm all ears.
It can be done, Kendon of TeamVillain made one for the Hero via a modified (he did it) recovery, I will find you the thread and post it here.
You will need to port it to work on Desire though, might not be an easy task.

Speak to kendon direct on that forum if you want, just sign up and pm him he is usually more than happy to help.
he knows what he did to make it work better than anyone so he would be best placed to tell you what you need to do to get it on the desire.

Hi developers,curious question is anyone going to attempt a rom based on the desire s? Only reason i ask is because its tge closest maybe to the desire than porting hd roms etc,i am running a hd rom so happy days! Just saying it might adapt better? Though i know sweet fa lol

well im running the Sensation port, so im not sure why my device thinks its a desire but as thats what it said on the device i went with that. and as for the mods i havent looked at whats available yet, was just curious if i was going to

It's fine, I've been using it for ages
Do I flash the Rom and then all mode to fix bugs. Done this work on desire and desire HD?

That ROM is for Desire only, I'm sure there will be one for the Desire HD as well!

Its not a dev rom, its perfectly stable. And its only for Desire, DHD should have more choice seeing that the rom is made from a leaked DHD RUU.

Hello. I'm a new owner of an HTC One VX and I just succeeded in unlocking and rooting the device. I'm now looking for a custom ROM to flash. As far as I can tell, all of the ROMs posted on the xda forum for the device are based in some way on HTC Sense. I'm hoping for something that's more like stock Android. My question: are the ROMs developed for any other variants of the HTC One compatible with the One VX? Anyone tried flashing a ROM listed under another HTC One device and had success?
Nope. You can't and you shouldn't. The phones are different. You'll end up bricking your phone. Better leave it to the devs to port the ROMs.
