[Q] Change Samsung Calendar "Day View" from Showing 2 Days - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

I know this may sound like a stupid complaint, but after the recent upgrade, my Samsung Calendar app in displaying 2 days in the "Day View" and it is driving me nuts. I am usually pretty good at troubleshooting things like this, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to change it back to only show 1 day under the "Day View". Is this something that can't be fixed with this new upgrade?
Any help would be grateful!

Well, not really a fix per say, but the Google calendar does only show one day in the day view so you might try that.... I'm not sure if there is something specific that you need that only the Samsung calendar has..
I hadn't really used the Samsung calendar so I hadn't noticed the change. I did check it out and I can't see any way to change it either.

calendar question

is there anyway to get the touchflo calendar to show day rather than month?
Neil.
Just click the day you want to appear, and there you are.
Question from my part: is there any way to show an overview of any week?
Cheers, Dela
I think he means that tab starts in the day view..
yes, thats what i meant
Not yet. maybe some of the cooks will make the agenda in TF better. (like also a week view)

Anyone interested in a cab version of snooze options?

Hi there,
From my Blackstone days I had a file and reg edit to create "multiple snooze" options for notifications.
So when your alarm or notification goes off, you could click the menu and choose to snooze in 5, 10, 15 etc minutes.
The only downside is that it removes the HTC big view of the notification, you get a Windows mobile default, which to be honest I prefer. This is only for notifications though, you know the message that appears on screen, nothing else, everything else stays the same.
I can make a cab which would make it totally installable / uninstallable if you like. Depends how many want it...
Excellent idea
Would these options be configurable? Would be much appreciated!
hi there,
no they would be the default Windows Mobile ones which the Htc Notifiations removes, think they are 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes.
I would be interested!
thank you
hi all, this has already been done. I've downloaded the cab already - couldn't find the thread, but it is on here.
I find the alarm on my HTC Pro 2 to be quite unreliable. The phone tends to crash for no apparent reason when sitting on the charger. I haven't fully investigated yet, but it seems to be often crashing at 1:55am whenever an alarm is specified the next morning :S
Having said that, I would like the option of having multiple snoozes to choose from. It's just so annoying my alarm clock crashes. Not good for waking up!
What I really need !!
I would be interested too! I miss this option very hard.
@martinjclarke: could you please look again or tell us the name of the cab-file to look for it
Thanks to all who help to solve this!

I've always wished the notifications COULD be tweaked - why in the world don't the Snooze options mirror those in Outlook? There are WAY too few options in Windows Mobile! How about 8 hours, for those things that might go off at 8am, and you would like to be reminded at the end of the workday?? Or many of the other options available on the Desktop version of Outlook...
Matt
I haven't seen this one before, but it may well be able. You usually find that things are duplicated in all forums as people create the same things as they have the same ideas.
I'll get it posted on here later then for people who want it.
it may have been this one...

that's the name of the cab file I used anyway - and it works a treat. Can go back to constantly snoozing reminders by one hour and never getting any work done!
Works great except it didn't keep the HTC notification screen
Works great except it didn't keep the HTC notification screen, it's using the regular Windows one. Not a big deal, but doesn't look as slick. But thanks so much for the fix, HTC/TMobile missed that one big time. Nothing I dislike more than losing functionality when i upgrade.

TF3D Homescreen Calendar Question

Is there any way to display the next appointment on the Calendar section of the homescreen instead of just Today and Tomorrow's Appointments?
I seem to remember that there was that option somewhere, but I cannot seem to find it.
Any Help would be appreciated.
Russ
Yes i would like to know as well, maybe like 7 days out at least.
Does anybody have any ideas? I have found the setting if I were using the WM screen instead of TF3D, but I have been unable to find a setting for TF3D.
Thanks
Bump
Any ideas?? this is really bugging me that i cannot find it.
Thanks
Russ
bump anything out there yet?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have a very customized theme and clock, and do not want to lose either of those with this modification. Is there just a cab out there to JUST modify the amount of appointments shown?
Thanks,
KD8FRE
Anyone ever find a solution to this? I just want my appointments to show more than one day in advance...like maybe a week or two. I dont want to change anything else. Can anyone help with how to do this? I have searched and found the question asked several times, but never answered.

HTC Weather is gorgeous ... and a pain!

Any advice - I've searched the forum and can't find how to fix annoyances with my standard ROM Touch Pro 2 with HTC's Win Mo 6.5.
1. How do I get weather to update more frequently?
2. I'm mid-summer where I am now which means the sun is up and bright well before 7am. Why the @#&* does my Pro2 insist on showing me a moon until well gone 8am?! The weather app doesn't seem to be sunrise/sunset aware for each location and it seems to think we're all stuck in the middle of some Siberian winter all year around!
Mark
by defualt its set to update every 3 hours if you have auto update enabled.
If you want it to update more frequently use a registry editor and navigate to
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\
Scroll down to
Weather.AutoDownloadInterval
and edit the DWord Value which is in minutes
I just set mine to 45.
btw i just found out how to do this by searching the forum for "weather update interval" so try to search next time

Well, the moon is often still in the sky, even if the sun is out!
Thanks for the pointer fone_fanatic.
Unfortunately that tweak doesn't work for me - the registry key didn't exist, but even creating it made no difference. I see others on the forum (I've found them now I know what I'm looking for) have the same problem.
Btw I did try searching ... but didn't think of that phrase. Which now I think of it is pretty obvious but at the time I tried several other that I thought would point me in the right direction!
You're right - xda-developers is a great forum for solutions and I've found many here. Problem is using honing in your problem on your phone when there's such a vast database.
Anyway - thanks again. Annoying that I can't fix this though!

Hmm ... ok.
But how about this? It's 10:30pm as I write this and the sun is still showing on my Pro2 home screen!
Make sure you are going to HKCU and not HKLM or the such. Setting that has worked for me for making it update properly for 5 different versions of TouchFlo.

Hi and thanks for the advice, but I have checked and triple checked.
I note plenty of people on the forum are having problems with this so I'm not the only one. Strange that HTC didn't allow a setting for this within the interface somewhere.

TouchFLO 3D's weather data seems to come from AccuWeather. (This might vary by the ROM and its intended country though.) Maybe HTC didn't want to risk overloading AccuWeather's servers with too many users updating too frequently.
As for the sun/moon ratio, I don't know where these guys had their heads. My location doesn't change from sun to moon until 9PM, even though by 7PM it's already dark.

Tiny text on Windows Phone Calendar

Hi All,
Anyone else wonder what the tiny text says on the calendar when you have appointments in?
I know this is a bit sad, but I've been trying to figure out if it can be anything to do with the actual appointment, but the small scribbles seem to repeat and be a bit random - perhaps its just nonsense to show you there's an appointment?

"Hello from Seattle" and other little tidbits left in by the developers.
No, I think it's whatever you have in your calendar.
I know at least mine matches up. For example if I have three things on one day (like today), then there's three little lines. And they're appropriately long, ie they seem to just repeat what is on the schedule.
And if there's days with nothing, the day is blank, no little writing.
The calendar text definitely does not jibe with the actual events. You can't really read it. It is accurate in the sense of being on the correct date and having the right number of "lines" for the events that day, but I believe it is just a visual place holder. I also wish I knew what it actually says though, just to know.

Yup...I can confirm that in the month view, my "email test project meeting" for tomorrow definitely reads "Hello from Seattle." Fun little Easter Egg.
ok, i see the "Hello from Seattle" one now. I also have what looks like
"Hsm not septute"
"Al spam code"
"Oani sportcasium"
"NoDo fxsci"
"Salgataradion egifcx"
"Digrin not"
"ham falnalni"
anyone see these any more clearly? On my Focus, they are just too obscured to make out. I know they are supposed to be obscurred, but I'm a currious one by nature and find this sort of thing interesting.
You're not the only one. I was wondering what it said. Definitely reads 'Hello from Seattle'. I think one says something like 'class apart tackle' or something like that. Can't make out the other stuff.
