is there anyway to get the touchflo calendar to show day rather than month?
Neil.
Just click the day you want to appear, and there you are.
Question from my part: is there any way to show an overview of any week?
Cheers, Dela
I think he means that tab starts in the day view..
yes, thats what i meant
Not yet. maybe some of the cooks will make the agenda in TF better. (like also a week view)

Does anyone know of any application for WM6 (Im running Black Majik) where youre able to lock an application, such as Messaging, with a PIN
i used to have a RAZR (yes i know, kill me now) but i was able to do it on there
i dont mind people playing around with my phone, just there are some things in text messages and E-Mails that i would rather people not be able to access

Wouldnt it be easier to just lock the whole phone with a PIN number and when you have to give it to somebody to play with, just watch what they're doing ?
people always take it and just play games on it and what not, but im not paranoid enough to watch over their shoulder at their every movement, id rather just have an application lock if at all possible
Good news and bad news. Good news, such software exist. I saw it somewhere before and it is relatively new (e.g. near the period of WM6). The bad news is, I've forgot the name, and it is not freeware. You'll need to search harder.
UPDATE: Good news, I've found it. Bad news, it cost you $25

thank you very much
it makes no sense why software doing such a simple task costs $25...
...ill definitely give this one a look-see...but still in hopes someone has freeware to offer?

it works for Windows Mobile 5 only
i saw that too right after i posted back
:-/
Right, im using Itjes 13.2 rom. Its fast & basically all i want in a rom.
However, i want/need to have the next 5 appointments on the today screen like on previous roms.
It literally sorts my life out everytime i look at my phone.
Now however, with the newer version of Manilla i cant get more thn 1 appointment showing on the today screen?
I have searched & posted numerous times about this but cant find a solution & saddly i aint got the technical ability to sort it myself.
I have used the Smaberg cab (just removes the appointments completely from today screen), & also replaced the .dll file from another rom i have used - sadly neither work.
So can anyone point me in the right direction to find a solution ?
Or is it simply not possible with this new version of Manilla (2.1 i believe) ?
Thanks in advance
Hutchy007
I've also posted over in HTC Pedia without any success yet
i'm looking for this too and saw your thread over at htcpedia as well. forget about changing reg-keys and advanced config. this is configured somewhere in 1c684cd8_manila.
i'm at a dead end here after comparing the content from v13.2 with the one which gives you more events. next step, if i get to it, is search xda-devs (especially topaz- and rhodium-forums) and the web, if there's a newer file out. do the same, pls?
or someone who figured it out reads this thread and posts the file.
Guess we're goosed caliban2. Over 130 views & no solutions - just gotta hope its fixable on future releases of manilla !

seems that way, at least for now.
problem is htc changed the manila-file... it's only half the size, has different and less lua-scripts in it, that's why the old file doesn't work anymore.
i couldn't figure out so far from where this part of the home-screen is managed in manila 2.1.
needs someone with real coding-skills to do this, but the usual suspects are awefully quit on this.
Check this out, i think thats what u need.

Fix for showing multiple appointments on Today screen
I found this when searching - it worked for me.
To set options for displaying appointments on the Today screen
If you have a large number of appointments, you may want to specify the kind of appointments that are displayed on the Today screen.
1. Tap Start > Settings > Personal tab > Today.
2. Tap the Items tab.
3. Select Calendar and tap Options.
4. Do any of the following:
• Select Next appointment to show only the next appointment in your schedule, or Upcoming appointments to show multiple appointments.
• Clear the Display all day events check box if you do not want to display all-day events.
try tf3d tewak tool maybe this could help ya
Come on then peeps.
Someone must have had a dabble at forcing the appointments onto the today screen in the new Manilla.
Again, you will recieve my undying love for this fix. It really makes my phone perfect.
Many thanks,
Hutchy
Is there a cab to get 15 min increments instead of 30 on appointment times? I hate it when I have to work at 8:45 and have to put 8:30 just so I'm not late...
Any advice - I've searched the forum and can't find how to fix annoyances with my standard ROM Touch Pro 2 with HTC's Win Mo 6.5.
1. How do I get weather to update more frequently?
2. I'm mid-summer where I am now which means the sun is up and bright well before 7am. Why the @#&* does my Pro2 insist on showing me a moon until well gone 8am?! The weather app doesn't seem to be sunrise/sunset aware for each location and it seems to think we're all stuck in the middle of some Siberian winter all year around!
Mark
by defualt its set to update every 3 hours if you have auto update enabled.
If you want it to update more frequently use a registry editor and navigate to
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\
Scroll down to
Weather.AutoDownloadInterval
and edit the DWord Value which is in minutes
I just set mine to 45.
btw i just found out how to do this by searching the forum for "weather update interval" so try to search next time

Well, the moon is often still in the sky, even if the sun is out!
Thanks for the pointer fone_fanatic.
Unfortunately that tweak doesn't work for me - the registry key didn't exist, but even creating it made no difference. I see others on the forum (I've found them now I know what I'm looking for) have the same problem.
Btw I did try searching ... but didn't think of that phrase. Which now I think of it is pretty obvious but at the time I tried several other that I thought would point me in the right direction!
You're right - xda-developers is a great forum for solutions and I've found many here. Problem is using honing in your problem on your phone when there's such a vast database.
Anyway - thanks again. Annoying that I can't fix this though!

Hmm ... ok.
But how about this? It's 10:30pm as I write this and the sun is still showing on my Pro2 home screen!
Make sure you are going to HKCU and not HKLM or the such. Setting that has worked for me for making it update properly for 5 different versions of TouchFlo.

Hi and thanks for the advice, but I have checked and triple checked.
I note plenty of people on the forum are having problems with this so I'm not the only one. Strange that HTC didn't allow a setting for this within the interface somewhere.

TouchFLO 3D's weather data seems to come from AccuWeather. (This might vary by the ROM and its intended country though.) Maybe HTC didn't want to risk overloading AccuWeather's servers with too many users updating too frequently.
As for the sun/moon ratio, I don't know where these guys had their heads. My location doesn't change from sun to moon until 9PM, even though by 7PM it's already dark.
Hi All,
Anyone else wonder what the tiny text says on the calendar when you have appointments in?
I know this is a bit sad, but I've been trying to figure out if it can be anything to do with the actual appointment, but the small scribbles seem to repeat and be a bit random - perhaps its just nonsense to show you there's an appointment?

"Hello from Seattle" and other little tidbits left in by the developers.
No, I think it's whatever you have in your calendar.
I know at least mine matches up. For example if I have three things on one day (like today), then there's three little lines. And they're appropriately long, ie they seem to just repeat what is on the schedule.
And if there's days with nothing, the day is blank, no little writing.
The calendar text definitely does not jibe with the actual events. You can't really read it. It is accurate in the sense of being on the correct date and having the right number of "lines" for the events that day, but I believe it is just a visual place holder. I also wish I knew what it actually says though, just to know.

Yup...I can confirm that in the month view, my "email test project meeting" for tomorrow definitely reads "Hello from Seattle." Fun little Easter Egg.
ok, i see the "Hello from Seattle" one now. I also have what looks like
"Hsm not septute"
"Al spam code"
"Oani sportcasium"
"NoDo fxsci"
"Salgataradion egifcx"
"Digrin not"
"ham falnalni"
anyone see these any more clearly? On my Focus, they are just too obscured to make out. I know they are supposed to be obscurred, but I'm a currious one by nature and find this sort of thing interesting.
You're not the only one. I was wondering what it said. Definitely reads 'Hello from Seattle'. I think one says something like 'class apart tackle' or something like that. Can't make out the other stuff.
I know this may sound like a stupid complaint, but after the recent upgrade, my Samsung Calendar app in displaying 2 days in the "Day View" and it is driving me nuts. I am usually pretty good at troubleshooting things like this, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to change it back to only show 1 day under the "Day View". Is this something that can't be fixed with this new upgrade?
Any help would be grateful!

Well, not really a fix per say, but the Google calendar does only show one day in the day view so you might try that.... I'm not sure if there is something specific that you need that only the Samsung calendar has..
I hadn't really used the Samsung calendar so I hadn't noticed the change. I did check it out and I can't see any way to change it either.
