WiFi connection problems
Hi there,
Same here! (home: connection = OK, but no data will pass through; office: connection = OK and data fully functional).
Have been looking around a bit for WiFi problems and Gingerbread. Haven't come up with any solution so far, but the problem seems to be Android 2.3.3 and HTC twitters they are on it.
Which won't help so far...
Tried a patch too, but that didn't bring any solution neither...
BTW: they do say it has to do with WiFi dropping below -88dB. Well, I'm almost sitting on top of my WiFi Access point, so that can't be the problem neither.
Regards,
delete your SSID (or select "forget"), whichever option you have.
reboot the rooter.
Try again.
i did hard reset to my modem but no success. Is there a particular way to delete ssid?
I had similar problem when my SSID was on hidden.
Could that be the issue here?

Sorry to say your solution didn't do the trick for me.
It still bothers me why the signal and reception quality are super, connection is established but data won't flow
Regards
Same issue here, going to go back to 2.2.1 see if that makes any difference
well thats strange, any 2.2.1 froyo rom including stock and custom WiFi works perfectly, any 2.3.3 rom and my wifi refuses to process any data
any ideas guys?
I went back to stock rom after flashing the omega rom v17. when i connect to the internet via wifi it works properly. but after an hour or so, and i didnt disconnect the wifi, it seems that i dont have internet access. i need to turn off and on the wifi again to have internet access. but my note 10.1 doesnt have that kind of problem so its definitely not the router.
had the same problem, some say it's kernel related, in my case this is what I did/tried :
from the dialer : *#0011#, then press the device menu button and go Wifi, and turn power save off
I eventually flashed a cutome kernel and never had a wifi problem again
Thanks. Gonna try the dialer method. I want to go back to stock so i cant flash any custom kernel.
Lately I've found that i have a problem connecting to apps (Snapchat & Instagram) via my home wifi . Thought it was the router but my brother has a S4 mini too and no problems. weird thing is browser works and wifi works perfectly in airplane mode and with no sim. could this be a carrier related issue or something in the settings ? Any help would be appreciated.
Try hard resetting your phone and if that doesn't work flash the OEM firmware via odin
So far I have tried:
ace2nutzer: cm-11-20150714-UNOFFICIAL-codina.zip
ChronoMonochrome: cm-11-20150730-UNOFFICIAL-codina-universal.zip
MIUI6_5.7.26_I8160.zip
vanir_codina_4.4.4.092615.zip
CyanogenMod12.1_I8160_0920.zip
The wifi is not working. I was not able to connect to my D-Link 868L router. I notice that the mac address of the wifi adapter is now 00:00:00:00. Btw, to check that my phone's wifi was still working, I flashed back the stock rom and it could work.
How can I resolve this? Would appreciate some help.
Hello, I once had a problem with the wifi hotspot operation on a Lenovo K3 Note - while the data connection worked fine and the hotspot set-up appeared to work, the connected device did not have internet access. This was solved when I flashed a new ROM.
Now I have an identical problem on an elderly phone (Ice-phone mini) running Android 4.3 that I want to use as a wifi hotspot. The symptoms are exactly the same as I had with the first phone. This phone is rooted, but I have not found any other ROMs to try, it is running the original rom.
I wonder whether this wifi hotspot problem is somehow generic, as I have come across it on more than one occasion. Is there any generic, or other solution?
I've tried Wifi Tether, but for some reason it fails. The log shows wifi interface configured but all the other operations fail.
Thanks.
