Hi,
Anyone else noticing the volume for notifications (sms, email, whatsapp) & also the ringing seem to be really quiet?
I've maxed out the settings but I still find myself missing txts, emails & even calls sometimes..
Anyway of boosting this?
Cheers

This is happening with me regularly. If I set the ringtone/notification volume low during office hours, it automatically increases if I answer a call or make a call. And similarly if I am at home and have kept my volume at max, it automatically get reduced to minimum level on answering/making call. Its really annoying bug and not sure if it Android 4.0 or HTC bug
Also I am not sure how to notify HTC of such many more bugs found in One V
Maybe you have the option enabled which automatically lowers the ringing, in case of an incoming call, when the phone is moved. Check out the settings to see if you do.

Man, these are end user 'bug'. Stop *****in' about HTC's quality when you are not able to change some settings in your phone, buy a nokia 3310.
Htc has provided some high quality phones since HTC Hero till now. My phone has so many years and it's still the same. No hardware problems at all, the battery is still the same, display also.
Before entering in a forum and post something stupid like this, try and turn your phone up side down, enter in every menu, set every setting available...
I agree, I'm impressed with my current htc! It's absolutely sensational
The problems you mentioned aren't problems at all, they're just settings that come by default and can of course be changed.

Haha lol no I'm pretty sure he's not
the default settings are set, wherein first the phone would ring low and if you don't pick it up the ringing will increase. Another thing is that the volume will decrease if the phone is moved while ringing..!
But these can be turned off in the settings so no reason for it to be an issue! Jeezzzzz people! :what:

Hi, even I am facing same issue with HTC Desire V which I bought 1month back. Ring tone volume is getting increased or decreased automatically without my interaction. Even flashing is done at HTC Service Centre. But, the issue is not resolved yet.
Please help to resolve this issue

Hi,
Even i am facing the same issue, the ringtone change abruptly.
I noticed that the volume gets changed to the that of the volume of the last income call, after making an outgoing call. Its a bug in this phone.
If u disable the flip for speaker option everything works well.
Doodle 2 Automatic Volume High
ice : Micromax Doodle 2. OS : Jellybean 4.2.1 Whole Day Volume getting high (without pressing button) instant when we decrease it. So it make always outdoor profile. Same time power button does not working. It can unlock screen but cant lock. Its annoying.
Ok so with the M7 an amazing developer @tbalden was able to make the HTC logo a capacitive button. Anyone looked at the specs to see if it's possible with the m8? That bloody big black bezel has gotta be good for something!

They had to keep the black bar to allow room to fit the digitizers for the speakers.

Yes that's right but is there anything left over to use as a capacitive button like with the m7?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No. There's nothing left to make them work.
Sent from my HTC Desire
The logo was never capacitive on the m7. Logo menu was possible because a little bit of your finger made contact with the digitizer directly above the menu at the very edge of the bottom of the screen. I'm sure the genius devs we have will be just as creative with the m8.

Well in my opinion it's going to be much easier than on M7 because on my M8 i can :
- Scroll a landscape webpage just by moving my finger on the top 25-50% of the black bar.
- Wake up the phone by swiping grossly my thumb over the htc logo...
So yeah, this time it should be easy to encode buttons on the black bar and remove soft keys.
Can anyone tell me what the symbol is left of the headphones one?
Better still, anyone got a full list of icons we're likely to see.
Thank you.

Yes. It's when BoomSound is active. Usually appears when sound from an app or music is playing. If you go to settings and scroll down you'll see BoomSound and the icon there too.
