no you cant.
maybe later on s8500 and s8530 coz they have FOTA files to run Badadroid, so tizen is not problem.
as for s8600, no android, so we cant run anything without that files.
Tizen is basen on Android? From S8500/30 we have FOTA from badadroid..

yes i said that its possible on s8500 and s8530, you need that FOTA to load kernel, to run tizen ROM. :fingers-crossed:
But here is question - How to build Kernel and ROM. sdk?
Tizen on Wave ? Might be possible.
Wave has an ARM Cortex A8 CPU and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. They are pretty powerful specs and I think if GEAR series can run it, DEVs will surely able to port it.
And, after using Volk204's CM11 v4.3, I think anything is possible. As of now, I am running Android 4.4 Kitkat on my Wave, playing Quake 3 Arena with no lag using QIII4A. Who had thought of that, huh?

Till S8500/S8530 won't have an official support of Bada 2.0 it is not possible to install any app for this version of OS.
@ hisee
1.
bada Apps checks bada Version... minor + major +...
2.
Themes also check something. At the moment I'm not sure exactly what...
This Infinity Theme runs on my S8530 XXKL1.
Downloaded via handset...
Btw... funny Theme. Good work.
3.
Try internal Samsung App store App...
Maybe Kies checks something else...

Funny Themes are now funny protected... by funny DRM... encrypt in *.dcf...
MBUKI should run...
Please report Firmwareversion. In theory all these newer Versions should run:
MBUKI--->Gorilla runs.
KJ1
KK5
KK7
KL1--->confirmed by me
Merry Christmas
Problem "solved"...
Samsung removed this Theme for S8500 and S8530...
24.12.2011
Merry Christmas Samsung.
LOL
This is how Samsung solves problems...Just by killing them...for instance they solved kies problems before with making more bugs
Best Regards
App Backup
Can someone backup an app with kies and upload it here. I want to try if I would be able to restore it on my phone (s8500).
Thanks in advance.

Android Go is a lighter version of Android to help with the phones having 512mb to 1gb ram. Is there still any developers willing to give it try for our beloved Nokia X?
i don't think our phone can support android 8.1 it not the RAM that you need to make the phone run we have a low CPU and GPU too
so i don't think that but i am going to try to use it i will tell what will be the result that i will get but i think some other dev's can get another result i am still a noob in android development

Thanks for trying. You are one of last remaining developers of our device. Do you know if there is any possible release date of Android go?

Hello Guys,
I was just wondering if it would be theoretically possible to port the Windows 10 on ARM OS from a Laptop like the "Asus NovaGo TP370QL" which is using an snapdragon 835 to a phone like the Mi Mix 2 which is using the same SOC ??
I dont really know much about Operating Systems, but since it is the same SOC and a phone is nothing more than a Computer, there should be probably a chance to get it running right?
Im really interested in your thought!

Don't think it's possible. This version of the Snapdragon 835 is customized to run on Windows 10 on ARM, which is also customized to run on ARM. And if it's possible, it'll take hella lot of work I think.
Hi it's available for mi4 : http://en.miui.com/thread-189556-1-1.html
But I don't know if one day this can be available on mi mix 2 :/

This was an exclusice deal between Xiami and Microsoft back then. I don't think this will ever come to any other Xiaomi device as it was Win10 mobile, which is dead.

Would be nice though using a full windows 10 installation on the go.
Probably that was something microsoft was aiming for when they brought windows 10 mobile to the Mi 4....
Eventhough the installation, drivers, etc probably doesnt work, would a bootloader like TWRP be able to boot the arm iso of windows?

TWRP isn't a bootloader, it's a recovery. But you're right, TWRP would probably be able to INSTALL the image, but it wouldn't work.
Thanks for your opinion on this topic
I think i ll read some more about making your own rom for a device and probably try it out on my phone.
But i have no great hope for even getting to boot the iso ^^
(I should probably wait for Microsoft to publish a mobile OS again before I brick my phone )

You're welcome And better don't even try installing the iso as you might really brick your phone
So yeah, I have an SM-T295 (Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019)) tablet with Android... Let me check... Uhhh... 10, Android 10 installed, and I want to install LineageOS in there but I couldn't find one. I found an unofficial build for the SM-A107 (Galaxy A10s) and I thought "Hey, my Tab A 8.0 and the A10s are pretty similar, maybe it will work", but what if it doesn't? F for my tablet. Obviously, I don't want that happening so I came here to ask. Will the A10s build work? Are there any unofficial builds or (also official) betas for the T295 that anyone knows about? If so, can you link me to the file download page? I'll answer questions on replies if anyone asks them. Thanks in advance!

I doubt you will be able to port the A10s ROM to your tablet. The easier solution will be to install a generic system image.
If your main intention is to remove Google and other bloatware, try an adb dbloater. That method has the lowest destruction capability.

Hey! Thank you for your reply. I have never heard of a generic system image... What is it? What does it do? How do I get it?

Also, How do I install TWRP on my device? It's not available for my device but I think i need it for Lineage.
Hi!
I've received a phone from a cousin that is a fake S20 Ultra. I thought rooting this thing could be a good idea but don't know how to start.
Please Help me change the rom. I quit phone mods years ago and I'm lost now.
1) I guess I should start by knowing the real OS, to get to the TWRP version, but half of the information in the phone is manipulated, so doesn't work.
Any Ideas?
Install this.

Oh thanks, Got 3 screenshots attached to this reply. Hope this helps.
I am no expert but AFAIK custom stuff for Mediatek is very scarce as drivers etc are missing and Mediatek is not really helping the community.

You are trying to flash a custom firmware made for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, onto a fake samsung device which does not have the matching hardware. And you're surprised the custom firmware isn't installing?
