Anyone managed to get DDFW running on their SGS2 ?
I have tried all 3 plugins for chainfire and a bunch of settings but cannot get it run past the loading screen,
any luck anyone?
The thread title is extremely misleading. You could at least have used a question mark to signal that this thread doesn't contain the CF3D settings for DD even though that's what the title suggests.

Agreed .... and Dungeon Defender is working fine with default settings ..
It does freeze for a second now and again but its perfectly ok to play ..
how did u guys get it running??

I haven't been able to get it to work either. It goes through the demo, so I presume it isn't GPU related, but as soon as you touch the screen to control a character - app closes.
any tip to make it work?
It doesn't work for the moment, only getting in the menu of the game, when you try to play it shuts down ^^ already asked around, chainfire is busy making autoshader fixes etc

Yes it is a gpu problem. not so much an issue as in ur gpu is too slow, the issue is ur gpu to dungeon defenders doesnt exist.
Reason: mali-400 gpu in the sgs2 is a bloody fast but ultra cheap gpu found mainly in generic devices ( i think, correct me if im wrong) , the only branded device with a mali gpu is the sgs2. there's the issue. devs dont develope for generic chipsets:not enough users and there isn't any real incentive to develope for the mali 400 because most devs have gone to the tegra2 gpu.
Solution: i dont know if this will work since i dont have a sgs2 but this should work. On chainfire pro use the tegra 2(nvidia) plugin which will use the cpu to emulate the tegra 2 gpu and should hypothetically work. However, the tegra 2 is a pretty fast gpu so the tegra 2 plugin may lead to low frame rates so i would try the tegra 2 plugin. if its too slow use the qualcomm or powervr plugin
not needed anymore as developer has added support for sgs2

i don't want it to be which is best but more of which is popular and may be a couple words about it's adv. disadv.
i am using Perseus kernel .... dunno just felt its good .. other kernel distort my speaker
stock deodex sammy rom .. (couple visual mods and full screan caller + extended power menu )
Perseus kernel... Crash rom.. Simplistic framework.. Xposed framework.. Twrp recovery.. Overclock at 1800 Mhz.. But sometimes auto restart and and the whole system not responding .. Still don't know why, may be due to Overclocking..Is it due to Kernel fault?

I usually use Perseus. Had my note for 5-6 weeks, tried 6 ROMs so far. Most impressed WITH (and still using) X-Note 3.2. Total ROM size is 350 MB so its stripped down with the good Samsung apps left in. S Note is offered as seperate 100 MB zip to flash if you choose.
Subtly and elegantly themed, not jazzy or flashy - more like understated black and grey tones. Includes xposed plus some nice mods e.g. transparent status bar etc and boots at 260 DPI which is so much better than stock 320.
ROM comes bundled with Wanam Adam kernel

Well, Perseus kernel for me because of AMOLED color profile and Wolfson sound options in STweaks app.
Phoenix rom since it nicely integrates Xposed and 240dpi mod @ install time (along with a lot of mods in Aroma Installer) along with Internal / Externa SD switch. It was nice to clean everything then install system without any strange operations afterwards.
Now overclocked / undervolted (a lot) and customized with Xposed modules and very happy with it. Haven't had an error or reboot in 3 weeks despite 1.8Ghz CPU and 733 GPU OC.
Battery is great with Perseus, easily 7-8 hours of screen on time over 48-60 hours between charging.
after using antutu (for the first time) i got strange results
sammy rom with perseus oc to 1.8 and under volted a little ..i get about around 9500 ..
same rom with adam kernel 1.6 under volted i got 14680
flashed couple aosp roms .. got 17800 and 16900 ...
so what am doing wrong ?
I'm in Love with Redpill Kernel.. it gave me great antutu score and great experience
i want to know the best rom\kernel combo that make a good benchmark score ..??

tried saber recently and i got very good performance .. but i like Perseus controls more especially audio
Omega ROM v18 .NEAk kernal very li8 and no lagging. including Wolfson audio controle ...The best part MULTI CORE MANAGER for naormal usage and awsome for GAMING
Big fan of xnote and perseus combination. Now switched to assassins batterylife breathtakingly amazing and redpill... For better sound control and more undervolting compared to perseus.
For those of you running TouchWiz ROM and hasn't update FW since March, then TerraBuzz is the answer for your kernel. Only screen got above 30%, android os, android system, etc. is below 15% with this kernel.
is it possible to combine multiple options in one kernel .. that would be gr8 ..
for my personal preference ..
1- 100 mhz step in saber
2- screen mods in perseuse
3- audio controls in stweaks of red pill and perseus with the gui of trickster
4- the zzmoove governer of saber give me good battery life with light to normal usage ... which is gr8

Needed Wolfson chip control, it provides. Also, great battery life!
Using CyanogenMod 10.2 nightly with its kernel... No problems at all, even battery is very good for me.

Honestly it doesnt bother me, I don;t really see the difference heheh.

finally after 1 month of research, tests and sleepless nights i have made a fix for the cpu cap problem caused by crappy samsung's DVFS system.
For people who don't know what is DVFS please refer wikipedia.
In short terms: samsung added this system to boost benchamark like antutu and he tells us that in KK the system was trashed so benchmark result are not falsified. THIS IS NOT REAL AT ALL!!!
I have discovered after a lot of time that samsung has added DVFS system in other way, more in kernel but disabling it in kernel is not enought! Rom controls the DVFS system!
THE PROBLEM
After heavy playing games for 5/10 minutes the performance became very very low! Game starts to lag a lot and in few minutes became not really playable! The phone is quite hot in the upper part but not really really hot! Exiting game can fix the problem but not always. Only a complete reboot can fix completely the problem!
So i have decide to investigate and i have installed app like KtMonitor (included in kt kernel) or perfmon (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933284) and i have noticed a very strange thing!!!
When game starts for the first time the cpu speed is max at 1890mhz
After a while the cpu goes to 1458mhz and stays at this freq for a while
After some minutes it scales down to 1242, then to 1134, then to 1026 then to 918 mhz!!!
*When 1134 mhz is reached gpu goes down to 304 mhz and when cpu is at 1026 freq the gpu is at 128/200
In this way the game is not playable anymore!
The only way to see again values upper 1242/1458 is to reboot or wait a long time.
THE SOLUTION
The solution is to disable DVFS system from changing cpu and gpu freq table!
After that DVFS is completely disabled! Kernel can handle totally the power of cpu so the up/down scaling! Cpu and Gpu freq are not blocked anymore! The cpu and gpu are used based on tasks and not limited by crap samsung behaviour! Scores in benchmark now are real! In a nutshell phone will fly
WHAT YOU NEED
International galaxy s4 with root and Xposed Framework
Samsung DVFS Disabler
THE GUIDE
First of all make a nandroid backup!! I'm not responsable for any problem! You make this procedure at your risk!!!
Install Xposed Installer (http://dl.xposed.info/latest.apk)
Install Xposed Framework through Xposed Installer App
Download Samsung DVFS Disabler
Enable it on the Xposed Installer modules
Reboot your device
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Phone will be very hot and drain battery during heavy session such as games but this isn't a problem. With @ktoonsez kernel i have set 90C for start throttle and 80C for end i can use the phone without burn my hands or burn it self but make attention!
This fix not delete thermal throttle! So the cpu and gpu can throttle without any problem and you can be use it on heavy tasks without fear!
Anyway I'm not responsable for any problem! You make this procedure at your risk!!!

On kk the option in wanamlite is broken. I have talked win wanam and its useless for now.

During games session yes it could consume more battery since the cpu can be used at max without limitation.
Update on air view bug : I have find the problem guys but is not simple to fix since Samsung has added a lot of **** code in the jar file. I need time and better knowledge to clean it correctly but I want make this mod perfect so stay tuned and support me

I have my Note3 Neo for a month now and it runs superb, love this device. However.. there are few 3D Games that glitch during gameplay
Beach Buggy Blitz- Starts up fine but after a while I start to notice game Glitches, The checkpoint clock and the Boxed graphics on the sides don't act as they should be. There other parts of the game that acting the same way.
Dungeon Hunter 4- (Great Game) Starts Fine, After a while all the characters lose their characteristics.. face.. sword details.. armor details.. etc..
PlayStation® All-Stars Island- The Game itself runs fine, but on the main menu (the Island) it like the 3D is broken (pieces disappear and appear again).
Other 3D Games like Kritika: Chaos Unleashed, Dead Space, Dark Avenger, Dead Triger run smoothly.
Just want to know if there is anyone else out there having the Same Problems or its just me.
P.S i read about Modern "Combat 5 not working" If thats the case Big.Little Possessor is there a way to fix this?

Although the reviews compare it with snapdragon 800 and they say the cpu is on par and gpu os on par with adreno 320...however I have noticed games were much smoother on my Nexus 4. At SOME point on note 3 neo games do stutter.

I know that hexacore is better than quadcore... I just want to know if there is a way to disable/enable them to see if the games will work better without lag or glitches or if its because of the "Big.Little" possessor

This is my first ever post (or reply :silly on XDA :laugh: . I own a N3N (SM-N750 INDIAN VERSION). I bought this phone like a week ago, and i am enjoying it (except for the KNOX ). I rooted it the second day :laugh: and was playing around with it as i previously had a Galaxy Y :good: . I installed the same app (System Tuner) i used in my SGY to manage all the root level settings. I installed it on my N3N and first went into the CPU section and it actually displayed 6 CPUs (from CORE0 to CORE5) and also the first 4 cores which are based on Cortex A7 were clocked at 1.3 Ghz and the last 2 cores ie. CORE4 and CORE5 were clocked at 1.7 Ghz. And guess what it had all the options like configuring the speed of the cores, forcing them on or off and also changing governors (but i say dont change governors it freezes the phone then u have to pull the battery :laugh: ) and it had couple of other option to use on a rooted phone like FS Trimmer, Build prop tweaks (it works on mine no bootup issues ) entropy fixer (like seeder i think) sd card cache size, oom fixing, and all the other things u want on a rooted phone :laugh: . However i was not able to find any option to control GPU freq.
In short it was the best app I found till now to control various aspects of your N3N including CPU. :victory:

Have a look at this App to change GPU speed
FYI just tried the GPU_OC up to see if it will do any difference to the games.. But now i get an "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped" error on the long press of menu button (recent apps). P.S i own an N3N 7505.
just saying as heads up..
The error was caused by the secure settings the apps asks you to download..
I belive custom kernel is needed for that kind of stuff

Recently using "Greenify" to get more out of battery by hibernating alll apps(system+user) except phone,messaging,alarm etc imp.
and it is really good always 200+ mb ram free even u hav lots or apps of games installed in ur phnoe, and games(e.g. clash of clan)
will never kick u out of game due to low ram, u can play it on 1st try
Using CPU governor "Conservative" makes multitasking better i guess. e.g. now with software data cable u can toggle over while sending files withouth freeze.
Walkman Xperia Z2 mod by ibanez, really good for those who loves music
@blackwatch92 In PPSSPP . Naruto shippuden kizuna drive , Dynasty warriors strike force runs at 100% speed u can try those games really good. and God of war:Ghost of sparta is also somewhat playable

Just want to say that even without some complicated modifications, a new launcher like apex also helps a lot at increasing system performance

Samsung Fame USB Dubbing Problem
Hello Im new here please can anyone help me how can i root my samsung fame i wanted to root my device because its usb drivers is not working but when i plug the device with pc its charge the device but usb mass storage is unable t show or some kind of error.

I've read something about a tool called "Motochopper", but haven't tried it yet. Some users said that it worked after the second try with kies installed. Check out this link and thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43643533

try to reinstalling the usb drivers on your pc
install samsung kies to your pc as it installs the drivers automatically

some of them worked and some of them didn't but it was a great experience testing your roms

I returned to the Fame for some reasons. Previously I tried everything including full zRAM and partitioned SD cards. This time I just gonna install the basics and try Nova Launcher, Purify, Seeder, Autokiller, Flesky, Lagfix and Greenify since those were the apps that did the diference for me last time.
