[Q] CyanogenMod 11 with 3.4 kernel. - LG Nitro HD

Hey guys just wondering if there's any good kernel for CyanogenMod 11 with 3.4 kernel by miroslav_mm ??

cannot flash the boot.img to a official cm11 nightly, can you?

Maybe NotZippy is looking into preparing a 3.4 kernel for CM since he was looking for the source code of Miroslav's kernel a few days ago...

That would b good. I'm trying many Roms ATM. Seeing what one I like best. Currently on DU 4.2.2 now. Like all the settings/tweaks
Sent from my LG-p930 running DU 4.2.2

Issues with camera with this one only tried system n Google camera tho

New nightly runs decent. Restarts tho if going in n of of apps to quick. camera not crashing so far. Good ROM but not stable enough for daily. That's why it's a nightly tho lol

Got around to installing your ROM this morning n runs pretty good. Doesn't like the Google y camera with it's blur effect. It crashes hasn't rest arted so far n been running a few hrs now.

CM10 4.1.2 12/16 Nightly

Just wondering if anyone is still running this? I seen this is the last version before the 10.1 started. I want to run the CM10 because 10.1 still has some bugs.
Just some quick questions
1. Does MMS work?
2. Are there any major bugs?
Again this is for the 12/16 CM10 4.1.2 nightly.

im still running it and its perfect.. everything works and has great battery life.
im using the kt747 kernel with it and oc to 1.8
The latest nightly builds of CM have a FEW bugs...but still quite stable/usable. I run the 12/16 build every once in awhile, but the new nightly's are so damn smooth.
Also, give LiquidSmooth RC2 a try. Virtually bug free. The Stable release of LiquidSmooth has a few bugs, but again, still very stable.
If your going for a virtually BUG FREE AOSP Rom, I would advise LiquidSmooth RC2 with the latest BMS Kernel. Tweak it to OnDemand/Row : 126 min, 1512max, and you will be quite pleased.
Generally the CM versions up to the latest official release are very stable
As in, the latest official release was MB1 (4.1.2) so you can expect CM 4.1.2 to be very stable
Its when you go past the official release versions that you start encountering more bugs, like in CM 10.1 (4.2.1 and 4.2.2)
I just tried out Liquidsmooth. It's not a bad rom, just don't like the fact it looks like a theme.
Yeah I know CM uses a launcher as well, but overall it looks like a stock JB rom. Flashed cm10 nightly 12/16. Runs great with no issues or freezing. Once we get the official 4.2.2 I'll update to cm10.1.

If anyone uses cm10 (4.1.2) stable, I have the handoff update still if you want it.

[Q] Project Butter

I'd been using ICS for several months, but a few days ago I decided to try JB (chilly's CM10) to see if it was stable enough. So far so good.
Since we don't have a proper Jelly Bean kernel for the Incredible 2, I'm guessing we don't get Project Butter. Is that right? As far as I can tell, the UI responsiveness in 4.1.2 JB is about the same as 4.0.4 ICS. It's not bad, but I don't really notice an improvement. Am I right about not having Project Butter, or do I have it but not notice it?
My kernel version is 2.6.35.14-ae-15, which I think is an aeroevan Gingerbread kernel.

here is are a few links to 4.2.2 ROM's with the hacked chinese 3.0 kernal. I've been on Evervlov for the past couple weeks and its pretty stable. I just flashed.
DKStunna108 new 10.1 build with the 3.0 kernal

Drews thread for his 4.2.2. Its a modified version of 10.1 with his 3.0 kernal
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044824
You will need to flash gapps from Here
Oh, interesting! I didn't know devs had already started releasing ROMs based on that Chinese kernel. Still, didn't HTC release that kernel for ICS rather than JB, and if so wouldn't that still mean no Project Butter?
I guess what I'm wondering is how much Project Butter depends on having a kernel that's been tuned for Jelly Bean, updated drivers, etc. If the 3.0.16 Chinese kernel allows Project Butter to work, that's pretty cool!
Ugh, OK project butter has nothing to do with the kernel
It comes with jellybean
And that 3.0 kernel both with chilly's roms and ever evervolv is one that preludrew hacked up or ported and its an aosp, no one has built any ROMs with the Chinese kernel yet.
Bry is building a flash able zip with the new kernel as we speak and even then it's just going to
Be the kernel no over clock or fast charge yet

[Q] Latest stable Firmware for Xperia S

Hi guys, i tried a lot of firmwares for my XS and havn't found a real smooth working one yet. Can anyone recommend me a good rom that's around latest android 4.2.2 and does work completely? I was very happy with the CM builds from freexperia but recently i found major bugs around the cam function (melting video after recording ~ 10m), HDMI (flickering or doesnt work at all) and trebuchet does crash sometimes..
Things i tried so far:
FXP 209 - 217
Official CM 9.1
MIUI 3.2.22 / 3.2.8
PAC 19.3 / 19.3.2
OpenSEMC Beta 2
Maybe there is just a version of the roms i mentioned thats very stable and i havn't tried, but maybe there's something other out there thats STABLE.. I looked around xda, but wasn't lucky finding a rom thats as stable as the stock.
I know that everyone hates those newb questions and it really sounds like i just should google or check all the threads here again but as you can see, i already tried so mutch that a'm a bit tired bein the dummy ;D.
Did you try official jelly bean leak? Heard that it is good. I think it is not allowed ask such question. May be I am wrong.
Anyway here is the link: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252940
Yeah you should definitely check the leaked JB rom out if you have an unlocked bootloader. Near as stable as stock and fast as any JB rom.
You should try the latest official jb leak, really smooth!

If u will install for ex. cm11 u will be forced to use cm11 kernel aswell, so changing kernel to stock on any custom 4.2+ is impossibru i think
i need best rom about battery life thank's
I install many ROM's and stopped at AOSP
Android Open Source Project (AOSP) [4.4.2]
Beatiful ROM. Very clean & smooth.
Resurrection Remix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2688432
is smooth sailing, with max CPU freq. of 600MHz, and abyssplug governor, as well as deepest sleep state 5, you should get very good battery life. With moderate use (no games, just 2D apps and music), mine lasts 22 hours.
Cyanogenmod 10.2
I'm using Cyanogenmod 10.2 works very well. Only thing is some videos wont play with the default player but play fine with MXPlayer. Not sure why videos wont play or wont show in thumbnail in gallery, otherwise fine. Thinking of getting CM11.

I like 10.2 by tc. Tried out cm11 by tc didn't like it. Didn't like the dialer you can't change lock screen wallpaper I wasn't getting caller images in notifications and it felt slower. Gone back to CM10.2. Probably try again when they've finished it.

try zwiliew's kernel.
it has good governors
Is CM 11 working well? i'm on CM 10.2 and in my opinion runs great, but sometimes has problems with memory management.
The 2 best roms are CM10.1 (2013-12-13) and Omni rom 4.4
Both are fast, smooth and stable. Omni has the best battery like since it has less features. CM10.1 has a Low in call bug soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo =p
If you're and Instagram user and you upload videos omni and other 4.4 roms won't do but CM10.1 will do

[Q] ROM for best stability?

Hi guys, can you recommend me the most stable ROM for XS ?
I used FXP CM10 for nearly 2 years, it was very good, but old.
CM 10.1 UNOFFICIAL - ok, but reboots sometimes
Carbon ROM - not ok at all
CM 11 Xperia Overlay - not stable, reboots at least once a day.
Point is, I cannot afford to miss a call or reboot randomly.
Thanks!
