Just wondering if anyone is still running this? I seen this is the last version before the 10.1 started. I want to run the CM10 because 10.1 still has some bugs.
Just some quick questions
1. Does MMS work?
2. Are there any major bugs?
Again this is for the 12/16 CM10 4.1.2 nightly.

im still running it and its perfect.. everything works and has great battery life.
im using the kt747 kernel with it and oc to 1.8
The latest nightly builds of CM have a FEW bugs...but still quite stable/usable. I run the 12/16 build every once in awhile, but the new nightly's are so damn smooth.
Also, give LiquidSmooth RC2 a try. Virtually bug free. The Stable release of LiquidSmooth has a few bugs, but again, still very stable.
If your going for a virtually BUG FREE AOSP Rom, I would advise LiquidSmooth RC2 with the latest BMS Kernel. Tweak it to OnDemand/Row : 126 min, 1512max, and you will be quite pleased.
Generally the CM versions up to the latest official release are very stable
As in, the latest official release was MB1 (4.1.2) so you can expect CM 4.1.2 to be very stable
Its when you go past the official release versions that you start encountering more bugs, like in CM 10.1 (4.2.1 and 4.2.2)
I just tried out Liquidsmooth. It's not a bad rom, just don't like the fact it looks like a theme.
Yeah I know CM uses a launcher as well, but overall it looks like a stock JB rom. Flashed cm10 nightly 12/16. Runs great with no issues or freezing. Once we get the official 4.2.2 I'll update to cm10.1.

If anyone uses cm10 (4.1.2) stable, I have the handoff update still if you want it.

Okay so I know what is CM9 is but what is the difference between CM9 and a CM9 nightly?
I've looked it up but couldn't really find anything about it.
A nightly is a rom that is build daily. The regular CM9 is build once an Update from google comes. Nightlys are sometiems unstable and mostly for advanced users and developers. If you don't know very much about android developing and flashing just go with the normal CM9 rom

Yeah, what he said....good advice.
I have tried CM7 but never the nightly versions. If you have to have to depend on your phone and don't want to deal with "possible" issues, just stick to the regular rom and skip the nightly versions. The regular versions get updated anyway as the bugs get worked out of the nightly versions.
I have tried 4.1.2 and stability was fairly poor. Settings/keyboard/contacts crash fairly often.
I currently use CM9 without any issues but I wanted to update if possible. Is there a very near 100% working version of 4.1.2 available for the T989?
Thanks!
I have flashed most of the JB ROMs and I've had the best luck so far with PACman. I use BT and VoIP everyday. So far, it is my DD and I love it.
I've tried everything recently.... but think I am sticking with cm 10.0.0 for a bit. Until 4.2 is stable anyway. Can't say I personally have any issues with cm10 now.
Use TWRP and flash properly, you wont have any issues with JB roms.
has anyone or can anyone port a newer version of AOKP for the DHD/Inspire? like milestone 1 or whichever one is newest? I personally only like aokp and not too fond of the aosp or aospx. I flashed Pacman rom but had too many problems with it.
so if anyone can port one it would be GREATLY appreciated.
thanks a lot

You mean AOKP Android 4.2? We've just got an AOSP based 4.2 ROM, so I'd just be paitent for a AOKP based follow up. If not, maybe you can suggest it to synergy or RandomBlame? I believe RandomBlame already has a 4.2 ROM, but it's in its baby stages as of yet.
no a JB version 4.1 im back to running aokp release 7 from the github. but hasnt been a new one since like September.

RandomBlame is on Release 30 now, look for JellyTime in the Development forum
I don't know about 4.2 AOKP, but if it's options you want you could try cfX 4.2.
I tried aosp ROMS and cfx 4.1 but I don't like them as much as AOKP for some reason. Although I have not tried cfx 4.2 yet. Was waiting for Bluetooth to work. Also I've tried jellytime aosp and I always come back to aokp. I ran Icecoldsandwich for the longest time but I want to stay on JB and not ICS. If I actually had the time (kids, work, wife) I would try porting a newer aokp over to dhd/inspire myself but I never have time. Even dropping a deuce is apparently a "team sport" according to my kids. LOL.
bump?
cfX bluetooth works now, if that is what's still preventing you from using it.

The reason is very obvious one
AOSP - clean unbranded stock android
AOKP - unbranded android with cleanly built in to settings menu additional features like CPU OC, status bar tweaks etc.... with everything else as close as possible to AOSP.

Thank God. if I knew how to Port and had the time I would have done it myself. but major thanks go to PipelinerArd for the ROM.
Hey guys, posting to get some help with some forced reboots.
I migrated from d2att CM 10.1.3 to SlimBean 4.3 stable build1-876 with no issues, running rock solid and looks and feels great.
I've tried "updating" to the SlimBean 4.3 stable build2, CarbonRom nightlies, and the new DanKang's stable slim + optimizations with success...but I get random reboots on all of them. I'm wondering if it has something to do with going back to the CM kernel with the other roms? The DanKang kernel uses LeanKernel, I also tried independently flashing LeanKernel on top of these other builds to no success.
Currently here's what we're looking at:
SGH-I747
Baseband: i747UCDMG2
3.2.60 slimbuild kernel from Sept 14 that shipped with build.1official-876
Have tried dirty flashes and clean flashes and open to suggestions. Currently have a Dandroid of Slim that I've been going back to between trying these different roms out.
I may just have to be happy with build 1 but I would like the bluetooth fixes and the SlimCenter keeps telling me to update lol, I'm trying!
Which bootloader and modem are you running? Have you tried a odin back to stock, reroot and install custom recovery to try again? This usually resolves these kinds of issues
in fact I'm about to it myself
I believe I'm on the "new" boot_CWM_I747UCDMG2 version and
modem_CWM_I747UCDMG2 flashed from dstruct2k's bootloader and modem threads.
I have been having the same issue on SlimBean 4.3 build 2. I have TWRP 2.6.3 and the newest official modem and bootloader. I don't have any reboot issues on build 1 either. I can try to grab a bug report next time if that will help.
Hey guys just wondering if there's any good kernel for CyanogenMod 11 with 3.4 kernel by miroslav_mm ??
cannot flash the boot.img to a official cm11 nightly, can you?
Maybe NotZippy is looking into preparing a 3.4 kernel for CM since he was looking for the source code of Miroslav's kernel a few days ago...
That would b good. I'm trying many Roms ATM. Seeing what one I like best. Currently on DU 4.2.2 now. Like all the settings/tweaks

New nightly runs decent. Restarts tho if going in n of of apps to quick. camera not crashing so far. Good ROM but not stable enough for daily. That's why it's a nightly tho lol
Got around to installing your ROM this morning n runs pretty good. Doesn't like the Google y camera with it's blur effect. It crashes hasn't rest arted so far n been running a few hrs now.
