[Q] My SM-T110 refuses to start in any mode - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just tried to send new firmware to my sm-t110 over Odin and it failed. I left the Tab and left out while my lady used it while still it was standing in recover mode and she pushed power for reboot.
After that there is no kind of anything that happens with it. Try to home, down, power nothing, try to charge it and trying that way nothing happens.
It seems like battery if dead.. I bought this one yesterday so i really hope that there is something i can do and would be so thankful for any help for me is getting in panic..
EDIT: NOT rooted

Sorry to tell you but it's bricked so the only way to fix it is by taking to your customer provider

Agreed-
Try pulling the battery and waiting a few seconds, then try to reboot. I did something while installing a rom and the phone booted but just showed a black screen but I didn't realize it.
It does help to know exactly what it was you tried to flash.

Joy!
What rom did you flash...be specific...and where did you find it from?
Do you have TMobile PHP? If you do then you can get a replacement S3 for $5 from TMobile customer care. That is probably the easist way to fix this issue.

I flashed it with the Omega ROM with the I9300 version thinking that my phone was that same model. Very dumb on my part .
Sadly I don't have PHP.
Would a JIG help my phone reboot to the download state?

Reboot into recovery mode and wipe cache, dalvik cache and do a factory reset in recovery.
Do NOT wipe/format system.
Then reboot the phone and it should work fine.

okay i have the same exact problem. i tried to flash darkyrom iii from androidgeeks.com or something like that, and, i also didn't see that it was for the i9300 only and it went through the little setup process from within cwm (like its own little installer) all steps went fine and everything. asked if i wanted to reboot, i touched "no" then the installer closed and brought me back to cwm and cwm decided to just reboot my phone on its own anways. now im waiting for it to boot, nothing. research, take the battery out along with the sim and sd for about 45 minutes. nothing. i plug it into the computer and nothing happens. i take out the battery and plug it into the computer, again to no prevail. so with the battery out and the phone plugged into the computer, i hold power, home and volume down and a red led comes on the phone and the computer makes the "attatched device" sound. but isnt recognized by kies or odin. will a jig help me out at all?
*edit* i got the rom from here; android.gs/update-galaxy-s3-darkyrom-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean/

You are about about the 50th person in the past couple months who done the same thing, flashing a 9300 rom.
The only way to get the phone back into proper working condition is to send it off to be Jtag'ed.
There are some very good deals on Jtag if you go to eBay and search for "JTAG Galaxy S3".
Good Luck!
thank you

Ok i called and talked to Samsung. told them my "problem" and they emailed me a shipping label, i need to send them the phone and the battery, and they will look into my problem and send the phone back once they fix it. i also told them my battery felt warmer than normal. on a side not, this is a real problem. my phone had been off for 2 days, while on the phone with Samsung they asked me to take out the battery, and i noticed the battery was actually quite warm, struck me as odd considering the phone has been off for days... i told them that too.. anyone else have that problem?

It's obviously doing something... Try to force download mode like this:
Hook up the phone with no battery inserted
Hold Vol Down + Home only
Insert battery
Ya if the battery is still warm, it is doing something. I'd try every absolute way to boot to download or recovery before sending it in.

The same thing happened to me. I tried to install the insert coin revolution rom with muti window support. (unable to resist) and then my phone suddenly turned off. I got happy and thought it worked then a couple minutes later I tried everything but it won't turn on. So I gave it to Telus and said that I did a factory reset and then suddenly it turned off and won't turn back on. so they sent it for repair and said it would take 2-3 weeks. Right now is week 2 of 3. good luck.
well my phone was completely dead so I could use triangle away...I'm not worried about it. if they find out it just means they wont fix it for free...
thanks I need the luck, I'm completely phone free... its a funny feeling not having one... no worries though...
Crazy how dependent we are on these things. Too bad a jig doesn't work like on the GS2. That thing saved me when I had to send it in for warranty repair.

[HELP] Bricked T989

Hello guys. I visited my family in Europe and the electricity here is: 220V, I used my original adapter, at first I saw the phone turn off one or two times, but I though - HM it's the rom again and I was going to put the original Rom on it but the phone suddenly turned off and now it doesn't wanna turn on. I took the battery out when I installed it back it, the Flash light on the back came out on it's own then the phone vibrated one time and the phone tried to turn itself on but it flashed something through the screen something like a line? I do not understand the adapter supports 220V I only used adapter so I can plug it into the wall. Did somebody else ever experienced something like that? I cannot turn on the phone at all now, at first it vibrated when I tried to put it into recovery but now - nothing zip, so if anyone know's what it is I would really appreciate it so I can know what to do. Thanks in advance!
Can you get into download mode? If not, it sounds like hardware failure.

I Think I Bricked My Phone.. Any Advice?

Hey guys . I Picked up a three month old galaxy this morning. I have had problems rooting before but always managed to fix them but this I cannot figure out. Here is exactly what I did and what happened.
1.First I rooted my phone using GalaxyS3RootUSCanadaMac.
2. Downloaded the following, superuser, ezunlock, and rom manager.
3. Flashed clokworkrecovery through rom manager.
4. Unlocked the bootloader with ezunlock
5. Tried to reboot into recovery via clockwork and it would just hang and never reboot.
6. Decided to do a restart , so I clicked power on the right hand side and selected restart.
7. Fell asleep and woke up to a dead phone.
I cannot get it to boot at all , not even in download mode. I get no lights or vibrations when trying to boot. If I remove the battery and hook the usb cord in I get a red light at the top but not with the battery in.
Any info on what I might have done wrong or what I can try to do to fix it would be great.
Thanks in advance guys.

This is completely inapplicable to the i747m, and the reason your phone's bricked.
Unless you can somehow get into download mode, you're going to need a JTAG to recover it.

If your note 2 is not under warranty, I suggest you go to download mode and flash a stock ROM with Odin. If that's not the case you should probably send it back to Samsung, your carrier or whoever you send phones back to . ^^

Yes, its still under warranty. I will bring my phone to phone repair shop tomorrow and see if somebody can fix it.
I just never flashed any type of ROM to my phone, so scared to make it even worse, but thanks for suggestion anyway
Hopefully you'll get it fixed under your warranty. It doesn't look like it's not the LCD's fault as it seems to be working when you get to download mode. So don't let them rip you off on a new LCD.

Sudden Death Syndrome
Hi there
This is known as Sudden Death Syndrome, it's caused by a faulty memory chip. My Note2 just came back from repairs for this problem, they replaced the PC board and all seems to be well now.
It will have to go in for repairs.
Hello. How much did you pay for repair or it was under warranty and you had nothing to pay?
Thank you.

having the same problems... going Samsung Service Center tomorrow.
i had the same problems, freezing and rebooting in download mode, i was sure i had to throw phone away, then i was almost ready to bring the phone to assistance, but first i decided to try to flash other roms just for fun like aosp, leaked etc and also i reflashed different versions of mj5 bootloader found on different posts many times (now i'm on revhd23)... and... surprise surprise the phone seems reborn... very fast smooth and no freeze, sorry i don't have any explanation for this!
