Hi i have problem with my Samsnug Galaxy Note 2 4g(N7105).. after flashing my new rom my note lose imei number and i cant send sms, call anymore ;( my GPS not working too and when i turning on my bluetooth note gets freeze.. And i dont have EFS backup.. My baseband version shows unknow IMEI too... Can i fix this ? ;l Or one option is buy new motherboard?;l I will post some screenshots with Status and "About Device"
Which rom did you flash and how did you flash it? Was it stock via odin
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
I dont know.. It was 2 mounts ago..it does matter which and how i flash rom? And sry my English its not perfect ^^ i hope u understand me
I'm just trying to find out which bootloader/modem you have. If you flashed stock 4.3 with pc odin you will have the correct bootloader and modem. I see you are on agni kernel so it is custom in some way. You probably just need correct modem.
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
hmm i flashed some rom after that problem cause friend give me this note and i trying to fix it.. he gave me note 2 with orginal rom 4.3 with that problem ;p maybe i have new bootloader? becouse i have knox flag 1.. anyway can u told me one thing.. This is fixable?without buy new motherboard?
I would have thought it was fixable. If you already have knox you have the 4.3 bootloader. Probably the easiest way to get it working is either flash the latest stock for your region with odin or use mskips toolkit from skipsoft.net. There is a trading thread on mskips toolkit in the n7100 section.

My region or region from note come? I dont know if my note comes from my country.. Its LTE ver and all note 2 in my country is marked LTE.. My is marked 4G in the note back and box.. so how i can check what stock i must flash? I trying flash some roms(mobile network from my country) and it didnt work.. And i have one more question.. if my modem and imei back my GPS and Bluetooth will work back?
EDIT: if does metter my Guide in the box is in French,German,And Italian language so maybe i will try flash stock from this countries if u mean note's country of origin.. ehh again sry for my bad english ;l i really hope u understand that >.<
It doesn't really matter where it came from. If you flash the correct stock rom for your carrier you should get the correct modem. Tbh any stock 4.3 n7105 rom with odin should work anyway. So the phone hasn't worked at all since you got it? There is a thread somewhere about losing imei when flashing 4.3 and how to fix it. I think it was by Dr ketan
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
As i wrote friend give me this note with that problem(he tried to fix it too). So how i can know what is correct stock?;l i tried some roms(mobile network too) and nothing work.. can u told me what i must do(give me link or something) i'm really tired.. 3 days trying to fix it.. and i losing any hope
try flashing any 4.3 n7105 rom from here with pc odin, if you can find one for your country all the better
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
If that doesn't work this might be worth a try
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-12-13-efs-professional-t1308546/post18524176
Roms from sammobile doesnt work. EFS professional have only backup/restore option. When i ran Qualcomm NV( I have exynos ) tools from Qualcomm tab i get error "Phone connection has been lost" in COM1 and COM4 ;l
You might need USB debugging enabled in developer options
If you have flashed back to stock and it flashed successfully you might also need to root again. I have never used the efs repair tool myself but the developer is very helpful if you pm him
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
Hmm u mean this?(screenshot) its on.. I was flashing it before so i know stock rom didnt work for me. i didnt trying again flashing stock roms.. i've rooted rom with busy box and always get that connection lose
so there is nothing to do with my note 2?;l

There are a couple of fixes in the thread for repairing your imei. Check the second post. I don't know if it works but it's worth a shot

Try pm bajanman. He has the at&t variant which is similar but he is far more knowledgeable than me. You might need to edit your efs folder with a root browser

You may be able to fix it by flashing a rom wich is not a full package, but has al PDA PHONE files etc in ODIN, so it also flashes the baseband, wich may get it to work

or can i to restore to that but i dont did backup
First: calm down.
Second: did you by any chance miss this thread?
Did you try to unlock the phone by any chance?
What method did you use?
If the answers to the above are "yes" and "stl5" then I'm sorry to tell you that your phone needs to visit an authorized service center.
The stl5 method often wipes the IMEI, rendering phones unusable.
Reflash the complete MUGK3 stock ROM and go from there.
Good luck,

has anyone tried flashing a n7100 rom with tmobile boot img and radio if so any luck? I had luck with the note one flashing tmo boot.img and radio to the at&t roms. I see someone got the 7105 rom working w multiview awsome it starts on page 2 or 3
takes a lot of courage on a $700+ device anyone up to it should get some donations, dont you think? It would be a great step onto getting the missing functionality of the device like the multiview and sidebar..

How did you get your usb tethering to work?

First of all any of you flashing a N7100 ROM are silly. Of course it won't work.
Now, on the other hand, if you flash a N7105, for which the hardware is pretty damn similar to the US versions, it might work, or at least the chances are way higher.
I compiled a kernel for T-Mobile users http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33341226&postcount=557 but it hasn't been tested yet, if you're willing to give it a shot, please report back to me with feedback.
What are the Benefits of flashing this kernel Sir!

Hello,
So bought my note 2 from amazon, international version, sim free.
So i rooted it and fired a custom firmware on it.
Decided i prefer having the functionality of the s pen and wanted to reinstall the original f/w.
So managed to get an original samsung firmware (BTU) csc.
All is well on it apart from my sim card does not work in it (no service).
works fine in my old phone still.
It doesn't allow me to update it over the air and kies is a nightmare.
So im stuck with a tablet at the moment that I cant update.
I think I may not have the correct original firmware but I dont know how to determine which one will work!
Any input would be appreciated....
Thanks
Dan
You seem to have stumbled upon the problem introduced by Samsung in their newest kernels (they are used in newer ROMs).
The kernels cause IMEI number to not be recognised after flashing old firmware once the new one was installed. The only recourse is to root again and flash back one of the newer roms (Phoenix, Omega or Android Revolution will do nicely) or try to find original Samsung firmware for your region, but it has to be one of DM6, DF1 or DG1 at the end of the name and flash it using Odin.
Look here and remember to match your phone model number as well as firmware region.

Efs partition is where your phones unique identifiers like imei are stored. If it gets damaged or wiped and you have no backup then your phone is a brick, pure and simple.

Try and Flash an official dme6 or dmf firmware as per above poster. If imei is still blank then your phone is a brick.
I don't know why there are so many how to root blogs on the Internet and none of them tell you how to back up efs or why it's critical. It's a complete tragedy.
I've had to restore imei once to save my gs3. Was very lucky I'd flashed an omega rom earlier and the aroma installer asked me if I'd like to do a backup and told me it's important. I heeded the developers advice and backed up said files to drop box. Now I always do it immediately after rooting - all custom recoveries give an option to back up efs.
I hope it's not too late, it's sad for people to have to learn the hard way, best of luck.

Ive just read that if you flash the latest modem you should be alright. The post to guide you on this is by Dr Ketan in the original android development section.
I dont think your phone is bricked I think if you flash the very latest modem you should be alright. Just remember when flashing anything to your phone you should always make a nandroid back up first and copy it to your pc just in case for safe keeping plus a copy of efs folder. I hope for your sake you can sort this. And remember to read thoroughly all instructions before anything else. Look here and click the read this first it should help you..

I'd suggest you backup your efs before trying anything else.
Does your baseband version display now?
If you've already had your baseband updated to the new versions then you can't use it with Perseus kernel. The new modems are interdependent to the new kernels and Perseus hasn't been updated in awhile.
If baseband is newer one then you need an up to date kernel and flashing a newer firmware will obviously address this.

You have nothing to lose at the moment your phone is a semi brick. I think by reading Dr Ketans guide you will be able to get that phone working again. I take no responsibility from the following link but I think you need to give it a go. If you havent backwd up your efs folder than this link may help you. Id say download this latest modem and recovery and again I take no responsibility for your device.

Anyways at the moment I am on build number DME6 with modem DMF1, I want to sell my note 2 but I want to get it like it was out the box, because the company I am selling it to checks it out before they transfer me the money.
At the moment I cant get ota updates because my system is modified! And I cant go back to 4.1.1 cos of my efs problem?
So I was wondering what else I can do to go back to fully working stock? Would I have to flash a stock rom from another region and change csc? Is there any roms that I can flash that will not mess with my efs?
I really dont know what my options are at the moment? ?
If someone could give some advice that would be great.
Many thanks

You have to flash the newer firmware (newer than dme6) even if that means choosing firmware from another region. Then root again, run triangle away, reflash the firmware and finally factory reset. Using an older firmware will result in a broken imei.

Sorry I meant DME6 or higher. You can try searching the url below for your firmware requirements. It requires registration but the selection is comprehensive.

Well if they will check your country oriented firmware then flash that chk in sammobile if not then dmg1 is the latest make sure to get a efs backup for safety.
Unroot and use triangle awaw to get system staus to normal and bianry couny 0 it will show in download mode. Flash stock and wipe data and cache after .
All will be fine by now if u hv any prob getting the status to 0 iniatally wiping will solved it after a fresh flash with odin
Im in the u.k so would DME6_DME2 BTU be ok to flash?

Hi All,
I tried flashing DN3 on N7105 (I just searched dn3 in search box, and I clicked on the wrong link), and it booted up. Everything was working fine except the mobile connection. If I flash an N7105 modem, will it fix the problem? Or is flashing N7100 roms on N7105 just totally impossible?
I really want to get DN3 to work, the s5 theme looks totally awesome. The DN3 for N7105 is totally outdated, and so are many of the custom roms on the dev section.
Thanks.
I am surprised it even booted I've been told no way, not sure on the modem I guess it can't hurt, keep us updated.
Cheers

You basically just asked me to risk my phone just to see if it will work haha. And I was the one asking questions XD
Can anybody who tried this tell us the results? Thanks.
From what I read you already flashed it (7100 rom) and it booted so it was you who risked your phone.,I was saying I can't see trying the 7105 modem would hurt.
Cheers
Oh don't 4 get to let me know. ?

Never mind if things are outdated. Your model is not as popular as the N7100 so development will of course be slower.
Suggest you go back to your old rom (hopefully you made a nandroid backup or something)... or reflash it... before you really mess up your phone.
Things just aren't going to work properly for you.
Patience is a virtue.
If you have flashed a n7100 rom you will lose baseband and no modem or anything will bring it back. All n7100 roms work on our device but you are left with a wifi tablet. If your nandriod doesn't restore baseband you might have to flash stock with odin. I'd make sure you can get your baseband back first

It doesn't hurt to try flashing DN3 v5 on a N7105. I mean, I've tried it with my N7105T (N7105 roms work flawlessly), which had no luck in getting a proper baseband. You can always get your baseband back with an official firmware, but just to safe, back it up with CWM.
I've tried flashing the official N7105 kitkat firmware (4.4.2). Backed up efs and modem. Flashed DN3 v5. Restored both efs and modem. No luck in restoring signal. Baseband was still unknown
We'll just have to wait for the electron team to release the rom on N7105. Heard they started it some time ago.
This happened to me too. I didn't manage to get LTE/4G to work with only flashing a new modem or baseband. I needed to flasha whole new rom. Maybe I did something wrong.

Nope it's Samsung fault. They moved a lot of stuff in 4.3 and 4.4 especially libs.
