The dot case is supposed to display sms, mail and calendar notifications but it doesn't. Do I need to turn something on? I've looked through my phone options and settings but no luck.

Hi guys,
So I'm on a stock N7 all OTA updates including the new one and my notifications don't work.
No LED light, no sound, nothing in the notification bar.
When I get on facebook I see that I have like 3 messages in red, even gmail notifications don't show up.
My notifications were ok before - most of the time, only brief periods of inactivity but now it looks like they're gone for good.
So please guys do you know how to activate them again?
Thanks

Hi
My watch no longer vibrates when I get a notification or message. It's there if I look manually, but I don't get notified by it. It still vibrates when getting a call or a alarm, so the vibrate function is still functional.
Anyone have any idea what could be the reason?
Thanks in advance
Yup, noticed this too after updating to 5.1.1
This is happening to me too. I hope there is a resolution soon. Missed a meeting.
By design, the watch only vibrates on events that your phone would vibrate for. is it possible you hvae a setting on your phone that is set not to vibrate on messages for some reason?
Are these meetings in Google Calendar? For some reason Google turned of notification by default recently in Google Calendar.
- Go to calendar.google.com
- Go to Settings, Calendar tab
- 'Edit notifications' for your calendar name
- Add a Popup notification
Not sure why they turned this off by default. Pissed off many.
I have the Galaxy Tab 3, and while it's completely powered off, I delete an email (yahoo, gmail, etc) via my desktop computer, but when I power the Galaxy Tab back on....the emails show up!!!!
How can that be? Or better yet, how do I stop this?
Thanks!
Turn off synchronisation....hope tne spelling is right !
Hello,
As the title says, I'm having a problem with notifications when the screen is off.
I'm not getting notifications from Yahoo Mail, unless the screen is turned on...and I do get them ONLY if the app is opened.
I had Asus Zenfone 2 before this and I'm used to always closing my apps after using them by using the "Recent apps" button.
Even if I closed all the apps, i would still receive notifications from Yahoo Mail and Skype.
But now things happen like this: if the app is closed, I'm not getting any notifications.
If the app is left open, I get nofications only if the screen is on, if it's off, I get notifications for a while, but if for example I try
to send test e-mail after like 30-40 minutes from my Gmail account, I won't get the notification.
The Auto Manager is set to Allow on Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Mail is also set to Not Optimized in the Battery settings.
Does anyone have any idea what I could do to fix this? I can live without notifications if needed, but I'd rather have them working.
Thank you in advance.
