Flash TWRP 2.6.3.3 tar file through odin, but make sure to untick " auto reboot " within odin before flashing.

Lost SuperSU app - no can not boot into recovery

Hello folks,
after performing a more or less accidental factory reset I lost my SuperSU app (I am rooted and have TWRP 2.6.3.0 installed). To update the SU binary I need to boot into recovery. This seems somehow difficult on the LG 8.3, everybody seems to use Flashify (or similar apps) for that. But they do not work without SuperSU. Catch22.
The ultimate goal is to install CM11, but I am unsure how to proceed. How about this:
1) Reflash TWRP 2.6.3.0
2) Update to TWRP 2.6.3.2 using the Flashable zip v2.6.3.2 from here
3) Then flash CM11 using TWRP
Does that sound right? Thanks, Alex

Run the root process again. It should lay down SuperSU or SuperUser again (forget which one is actually used).

Installed KitKat 4.4.2 (CyanogenMod 11.0) 20140116 problem

Hi folks.
I just installed the KitKat 4.4.2 (CyanogenMod 11.0) 20140116 from Novafusion on my GIO S5660.
Now I see "Cryanogenmod" in the lower display and a rotating arrow around a symbol for hours.
Is that normal or did something go wrong.
I had the mobile rooted and px-cwm-v2 installed, cleared cache and dalvik prior to ROM installation.
Installation was done via px-cwm-v2 in recovery mode.
Any suggestion appreciated.
You need to use the latest CWM for KitKat.
I use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...dvanced Edition / PhilZ Touch Recovery 6.40.1
You will have to flash back to stock and root, because to install PhilZ you need to do it through Terminal Emulator. You could also try the latest MMB CWM which can be flashed through CWM (but I'm bit sure if it will flash KitKat properly).

For recent cm11 roms released in Aug 2014, you need to use CWM 6.0.5.3 to install them.
Read more if you what to know more.
Thanks guys!!!
Unfortunately the PhilZ Touch Recovery 6.40.1 didn't work for me as for some reason Odin got stuck setting up connection.
I assume that access to SD wasn't possible.
But the 6.0.5.3 was installable from SD in recovery.
With that "new" recovery I was able to install the Novafusion Kitkat and now everything is running fine.
Thanks for your valueable support!
working
i just trying install cm11 august releases with twrp 2.7.0.0, not work...then i install cwm 6.0.5.3 and latest cm11 august releases installs correctly...nice work at all

1-Use Root Genius Application to One-click root your Grand i9082 (www.rootgenius.com) it's a windows app, (you need to install Grand i9082's drivers on your PC before rooting)
2-Download the Recovery's image (.img file) and transfer on device's SD card or internal memory
3-Download "Rashr" from Google Play
4-open Rashr
5-Make backup of stock recovery (incase something goes wrong)
6-Click Install recovery from storage
7-Select the Recovery's image (.img file) in Rashr and install your recovery
8-Reboot and enjoy!
Recovery Mode not working
I succesfully rooted my i9082 using Kingo root. Then, I tried flashing CWM using Odin3 in download mode. Even after successfully flashing, the phone doesn't boot to recovery, it stays stuck at the Samsung boot logo. Even the stock recovery seems to have disappeared. The phone boots normally and into download mode, but I can't seem to access recovery or even bootloader. I have tried several different custom recoveries, and my custom BIN down is at 7 counts. Some applications I got off the Play Store say that I have no available recoveries installed/recognized. What do I do?
I also have same problem......!!!

Flash recovery again, try using Rashr app. If not work, might want to try flashing thru Odin.

[Q] SuperSU won't install?

I have T999LUVUBNF4. Used Odin to install CWM Recovery (recovery works fine). I boot into recovery and flash SuperSU (version 2.0). It appears to flash fine, but when I reboot SuperSU is not in my app drawer and I donot have root. Tried it several times.
Download newest supersu version and flash again. If it still doesn't work, use cf-auto-root

Thanks - I flashed the latest SuperSU over the weekend and got it to work.

root disappeared? 8.4 sm t320 on lineage 13

I'm on lineage 13, with sm t320. I flashed it this morning with other zips, downloaded apps from the play store, and then updated to the latest nightly (from 6/24). My device booted twice afterwards (the screen that you get right after you first flash lineage where it loads all of the apps) and it turned out that the root had disappeared along with the custom recovery. Not sure what exactly caused it... I've flashed it alone before (without other zips) and it worked fine. Has anyone else had their root disappear before?
So should I use cf auto root and odin and go through the whole connecting it to the computer process? Idk since I don't have the stock ROM anymore. Any help would be appreciated!
Lineage has a own root zip. You can find it under Lineage Downlode Extras. Addon su.ZIP.
You dont need to flash the CF autroot, if you install a customrecovery you can flash the lastest supersu.ZIP or the addon su.ZIP

Thanks for your answer!
But I'd need root to install the custom recovery, right?
