improve CM7 camera.

does there is any way to improve cm7 camera and any way to get stock 2.3.6 camera in cm7.because the original cm7 camera is really sluggish than the stock samsung camera.:-(

tried its 2.3.6 camera on cm7 but it didn't work.camera zoom fx taken good pictures but it don't supports recording.

camera 360 is also great app but i am going back to stock rom because Cyanogenmod is much much buggy and slower then stock rom.i would be wait until phiexz would release a new version of cyanogenmod which fixes the sound problem.

i tried cm7 miracle edition,but still buggy as cyanogenmod(maybe more buggy).

if you think cyanogenmod is buggy,back to stock,there's nothing can help you

how did you get working lgcamera.for me its not working.so i stop using cm7 and using enhanced 236.

correct, tried a few thing but nothing seems to work, ie. zoomFX does take pictures but no preview/view so I can't see what am photographing, so this isn't a solution :crying:

Newer N4 camera app

I've built a zip of what I think is a newer N4 camera. I got the camera apk and it's associated lib files by downloading and deodexing the N4 factory image. I got the GMScore.apk from a the 4.1.2 MC3 firmware. The zip is zipaligned and signed.
I renamed the N4 camera to Gallery2 instead of GalleryGoogle. I've tested it (running MC3) and it works. It should replace the stock camera in aosp ROMs.

@Theshawty Works on cm10.1 roms and fixes the front camera too. The front camera no longer gets stuck when taking a pic and works normally

Supposedly, yes. It does not have the option to choose storage, though.

I downloaded and i tried it. Sorry to say, Touch to Focus with flashlight problem still exists. Front camera is working absolutely fine as some user mentioned above. Just now, i got a message saying "Can not connect to the camera."

Same here... Tried on stock 4.1.2 rom and cm10.1.seems like Non touch/focus fix yet

I'm still facing the flash problem but I can open the camera after it happened immediately to take another picture which wasn't possible before. The freeze of front camera is gone :good:

Does it have sphere function? Does it replace the CM10.1 cam. CM cam has now got fixed Touch2Focus.

Yes it has photopshere and yes it replaces the CM10.1 cam. Touch2focus should work as those as hal fixes I believe.

It works for me. I think the picture quality of this is better than CM cam (comparable to SS stock and Huawei cameras). But this Cam lacks several new features recently added to CM (except for sphere). Camcoding HD suffers from the same "distorted preview" as in CM cam.

CM has been updated to fix that distorted preview.

I have just had a clean installation of the latest CM nightly, and CM cam has no distorted preview. But when I flash N4_cam, it still shows distorted preview in HD (720 and 1080) mode.
If you have no such issue, pls share the latest N4_cam flashable zip.

Well... this Photosphere Camera does not take over your regular camera
it adds a new camera icon in app drawer
so you still have your regular camera for stills
I noticed the slower you move the camera when shooting sphere the better the result
It would be nice to get some feedback from members as to potential tweaks and tips
to make the photosphere experience better

im running CM 10.2 nightlies, and the stock 4.3 camera app is missing:
-HDR
-Time Lapse
-Photoshphere
is there any working gnex camera APK that has all of these? What is the most complete APK out? Or, failing that, do you have any recommendations for an app that would do time lapse for example?

on my nightly build (8/17 i think?) focal will barely open let alone function. maybe it got better in future builds but i heard MMS was broken so i've been holding off

Not that I know of. I'm using Carbon ROM right now. But I know the MMS has been fixed in all the ROMs.

i just read on some of the later versions there is an issue with texts sending multiple times...guess i'll just deal with my version for now.

It does if recommend finding the focal app that is compatible with all ROMs its in the themes and apps section somewhere I've had no issues with it at all

[REQ] Archiport stock camera for AOSP 4.4.2

Is it possible for someone to get the stock Samsung camera from Archiport 4.4.2 onto AOSP roms such as CM11. The stock camera is the only one that seems to allow video recording on Snapchat or Vine & I'd like to have it in CM11:good:

Samsung have the blobs for the stock camera, aosp camera is a toy in comparison for this reason I will never return to aosp T_T. so if samsung don't give us his sources we never have the awesome view in aosp

Actually the camera on Slimkat works pretty fine. I agree that its not that good as samsung stock one, but not that bad at all. I've heard also that in new CM11 for our phone the camera works well too. But as it was said - I wouldnt believe that it will be as good as stock, because I don't think samsung will give us the drivers.

I also saw some fix mod for camera, which replaces stock camera in AOSP rom and works even better

To be honest All i want is a camera that works with both Snapchat and vine for video recording. snaps only record 3 seconds instead of 10 and vine just wont record at all :crying:
