How to get Camera working on JellyTime rom?

I know I should wait for the rom to be updated with a working camera but I've read about people getting the camera working by pushing a few libs. Could anyone let me know which libs to push?

I think we need to wait for virtuous to release their kernel source.

I think it was mentioned in the thread, have tried searching the thread?

working camera.
We have working camera in jellytime. Its not perfect. But it functions. It's after page 180 somewhere. It's a flashable .Zip By Paul_nb or something like that.

Hi, could you please tell me if Bulgarian keyboard is included in this ROM. I searched the thread but didn't find anything. Also I am not allowed to post comments in the development section since I am a new user.

The question was regarding camera which I am correct in saying works fine on beta 7. Camcorder WILL work if used with Videocam Illusion Pro app :good:

Running v9.1 - my issue is with gallery FCing. I know RB is aware of these issues so in the meantime, my work around is to use stock camera for stills, Videocam Illusion for video and QuickPic for gallery. Small inconvenience to use such an awesome ROM

when I loaded the jb b10 ROM the first time, and launched camcorder, it's worked, but I couldn't to play recorded video.

Working Photosphere APK for galaxy s3?

Is there a fully functional, non-freezing galaxy s3 photosphere camera and gallery zip available?
Also out of curiosity since july I

If you find one, please let me know. I always think I can do the touch to focus workaround, but then end up reflashing or rebooting when I need my camera most.

There is no photosphere camera that is 100% functional for our phones. The photosphere is for the Nexus devices. The only work around is to set the camera to action under scene and you wont need the touch to focus before taking a picture
Not perfect but it's a start...

Here is what I have used since Nov. or Dec. I haven't any FC's or issues. It does contain all 4.2 GAPPS and gives you the option to replace current camera and gallery or leave the current camera and gallery in place. However like mentioned above this camera also has issues focusing. So I would recommend leaving your stock camera in place. or atleast making a backup if you dont like it.

i am using AOKP's 4.1.2 ROM and have flashed the Nexus 4 camera. i too use the action setting and have no issues.

I'm running a 4.2 camera with photosphere on my own custom TW ROM and I have zero issues with the camera. Don't even have to put it in action mode to take pictures..no freezing or FC'ing

Search for the APP its in themes and APP section and it's worked fine for me.

Cm10.1 camera issue

The first day a bought the note 2 i rooted it and installed several ROMs but i have the same issue the camera keep sending me this error ( unfortunately, gallery has stopped ) only when i focused on some object while there is low light and i need to use the flash but on the day light its working fine ... any one can help .. i did every thing flashed several ROMs - gapps wiped the device but no use .. help please

it's known bug of CM 10.1

It is a known bug, but there are some camera apps which work without issues. There is a port of the stock huawei camera on xda if you search which works fine (some FC from time to time) or, if you're willing to spend a little, camera JB+ and (my personal favourite) snap camera HDR from the market work wonderfully. The last two have also the advantages of bundling the gallery app too, so you can completely disable the non-working stock camera and forget about it. They'll replace it in the lockscreen and in every other situation.

Cheers for the info. The main reason I haven't bothered with CyanogenMod for more than a few hours is that I use the camera quite a bit.

I highly recommend Snap camera HDR, it has a stock-like interface but it implements a lot of features found in the samsung camera (mainly burst shot, shot timer, snapshot during video capture). You can try the demo version from the play store before buying it.

I'm sure u know batter then me but when i had the i9100g it was working fine same as the i9100, gsm nexus, note 1 ... all was working fine

Yes it's a device specific bug: galaxy s3 and note2 have this issue, cm camera is fine with other devices (my nexus s doesn't have any problem with it).

I flashed Hyperdroid AOXP _rev 1.10 (22.04.13 build) and now 4.2.2 camera works great!
i have flashed PAC maybe 10 times, and the 4.2.2 camera gave me a FC from time to time....

What's your battery like on CM 10.1 mate? Just using nightlies or a particular stable release? Do you update with newer nightlies very often?

The battery is amazing you can go easily to 5 hours screen on time with 3d playing
Its nightly no stable release for 10.1 ... ya some times i update it daily some times once in a week

i have tested this snap camera on cm10.1, and i must say that video quality sucks( low fps). the original 4.2 camera records much smoother when it works. autofoucs is faster on orginal 4.2 camera too. i hope someone figure out this FC issue soon....

Hi guys,
I really want Cyanogen on my Note II but every time I've put it on, the camera still doesn't work properly.
I'm someone who, if something isn't working, cannot use it at all!
So I've been stock for a couple of months now.
Can anybody confirm if this issue is still ongoing?
Or is it now fixed?
I do keep an eye on changelogs but haven't yet noticed anything camera-specific.:good:

It will not work that way. Try CM10.1 ROMs, their camera app has HDR function

Sorry won't work because CM10.1 camera use CM files permission i try it before and the camera was crashing every time that i was trying to open but the HDR is no that good anyway you have to use a tripod or it will be moved the photo is really sensitivity because it will take 3 photography on one shot

Use HDR Camera from the Play Store. Works better than the CM camera in my opinion, which had a tendency to blur photos.

done. but the n4 make better pictures. this is why i want to this feature in my gnex

thats easy
- with root explorer delete gallerygoogle.apk on system/app
- extract gallery.apk from cm10.1 file and move it to system/app (don't forget change permissions to rwx - rxx - rxx)
now you have hdr feature like N4 on your gnex with stock camera
i already test this on rootbox 4.2.2 ROM and no FC on camera

it takes better pictures because the actual camera in the N4 is better than the one in the G-nex. different lenses, larger MP etc.
HRD camera is a great way to get some "HDR" action on the Gnex. or you can download something like picsay pro and apply the HDR filter afterwords. no, its not TRUE HDR like the Nexus 4, but our hardware just isn't fast enough to take real HDR shots.

It will give you FC if you use stock... You r using a rom base on cm that's why may worked

Use a modified GAPPs like this one. I will get rid of photoshere and not sync photos to picasa but it will give you the HDR option. Its called :gapps-jb-20130301-signed-edited.zip

its easier to just install camera360 (free)....... the HDR functinon is FAR better with more options ..... as an added bonus you get all the other filters and functions as well

Blur option force closes, video recording is choppy, photo sphere and panorama do not work and image quality is not impressive. That is on CM 11 16.04 nightly.

WOW! seems to be a piece of ... but reportedly, it works better on Mahdi ROM

every thing works fine on liquid smooth v3. official build... :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Currently on CM11 20140418 nightly.
Pros:Minimal Interface
Nicer Icon
Full HD recording is smooth
Cons:Average Photo Quality(Normal on Cyanognenmod ROMs though)
Lens Blur DOES not work(Presses the button,then FC)
Panorama and Photosphere DOES not work(Gives Black viewfinder)
Overly Simplified UI does not have much settings.(By much I mean nearly NONE)
Verdict:Can be much improved if all the bugs were fixed and some of the settings return.The UI is slick but too simplified IMO.
I recommend you get it once bugs are fixed.Hence,getting a much better experience.

Unfortunately there isn't any.It only works on 4.4 and above and as you know stock is currently 4.1.2 and has yet to be updated by LG.
But you can find the apk file here:http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/04/16/breaking-google-releases-stock-camera-app-to-the-play-store/
I am not responsible if your phone bricks or anything though.

search new google camera for jelly bean and you'll find some results. I've downloaded but not tested yet.
