I'm wondering if a profile for OnLive would be helpful... or would that end up needing a profile per game on OnLive?

just a FYI you can pair the ps3 chatpad to the a100 aswell an use the touch mouse function on it aswell just make sure you calibrate it!
Calibrate the touch mouse on the chatpad have it on an paired in mouse mode an hold the left blue shoulder button an right shoulder button till the lights blink out an bammo its not so touchy all over the place crazy anymore!!!
To put the chatpad into discovery mode hold the left blue shoulder button an then turn on the chatpad while holding the blue shoulder button an have your tablet look for things in pairng mode an then type in the 4 digit code with the chatpad an hit enter an enjoy.

Hi all,
sotty but i do not understand how to calibrate the sixaxis controller ...
Could you please explain me how to do it ?
Thanks in advance...
I used the Siaxis app in the Market, I've only used it for emulators (NES, SNES & N64) but all work great for me.

How to pairing my A100 and my Sixaxis? Help me
Inviato dal mio A100 con Tapatalk 2
OK to pair the six axis download these things
Sixaxis from play store and on a PC or laptop go to dancing pixels website and get the pair tool program.
Open up six axis on ur a100 (or any device that your pairing) click start and at the bottom left u will see the blue tooth address.
Now connect your ps3 controller to your PC(or laptop) via usb and start the pair tool program. Enter the Bluetooth address from your six axis app into your PC pair tool program and hit OK or set master I don't remember what it says but after that any time u want to use the controller open the six axis app and click start and just hit PS home on your controller player 1 light will light up Once it says connected your ready to rock.
Now for games. All games work differently. It depends what your using.
For emulators I use
N64oid
Nes.emu
Snes9x
Gameboid
Gen.emu
They all have controller support which can be set within the app.
Firstly go to the six axis app hit the menu button and go to preferences. Click gamepad settings and check off the first box so android sees the ps3 controller as a native controller.
Now you can play games like gta3 and Max Payne with out setting anything. It just works! And awesome I may add.
Now that that's done lets say u wanna play snes9x ex. Make sure your ps3 controller is connected to your device. Open snes9x go into options-input-key config-gamepad controls now just click on one and press on the ps3 controller what button you want it to be. This is fairly simple. Now u can also turn off the on screen controls for the emulator also so they are out of your way.
As for profiles just take a screen shot of the In game open it up under touch emulation in six axis l and set it as you want. I have made almost every game work that doesn't support a controller example n.o.v.a 3 or modern combat 3. It may take a little tweaking but practice makes perfect.

[UPDATE 3/26/13]
Using the official Pivot app causes input lag when WiFi is on. MOGA is working with Google for a fix but this will work temporarily. Just disable wifi during gameplay with your MOGA controller
[\UPDATE]
For those N7 owners with a MOGA controller, this thread should contain discussions for compatibility, profile creation, support, and fixes.
As a new owner, I've found 2 possible solutions for getting this paired on the N7:
Standard Moga Pivot App
MOGA Universal Driver
I am on 4.2.1 Paranoid Android beta9 (currently) and Trinity Kernel. I've been doing lots of testing with Sonic games because I've played Sonic games for over 20 years. I'm finding lots of variables and perhaps this thread can shed some light on the issues.
Scenario 1:
When I launch the Moga Pivot app, setup the controller, and use it to launch games, the games are flagged and typically "know" you are playing with a Moga. This tends to map buttons accordingly and also display additional button mapping screens (Modern Combat 4).
In this scenario, Sonic is very laggy and button presses CAN be 1-2 seconds delayed or not registered at all. This also slows the "d-pad" response causing Sonic to pretty much to be unplayable.
Scenario 2:
When I download the MOGA Universal Driver app, you have to manually pair the MOGA yourself through the bluetooth settings and select the device within the Moga Driver app. I've set it up as a System service that requires root.
In this scenario, Games play perfect speed wise. I had absolutely no problems with Sonic lagging. MC4 also plays great with the exception that the lower-right analog stick didn't work. I'm assuming this requires a profile setup.
The Moga Pivot App pairs nicely with my Galaxy Nexus and Sonic CD LITE with no problems or delays. The Galaxy Nexus is running Xenon 4.2.1. I've tried various kernels on the N7 with similar results.
So how do you prefer to use your MOGA?
Thanks for starting this thread. My MOGA arrives tomorrow.

What do you have to do to get the pivot app to detect modern combat 4? I've got both installed and the controller paired/synced, but the only modern combat 4 I can find in the pivot app is a link to playstore to buy it.

you should read the card the promotion code comes on for MC4... It gives you a link to gameloft. Type it in on chrome and you will get a place to put in the code. Then it downloads that way.
I've had issues playing MC4 with the MOGA, I just got it today and on playing... it's impossible to aim. For some reason, whenever I turn to look left or something, it continues moving in that direction. You just flick the stick to the right or left and you do a 180 or something... I got slaughtered... K/D 1/4... -_-

Thought I'd clarify this real quick...
The way the Pivot app sends input to the game and the way the Universal Driver sends it are completely different...
Pivot sends it to Android with a proprietary library that 'Moga optimized apps' are looking for...
The Universal Driver makes your Android device think that the Moga is a USB Gamepad... Android 3.1+ natively supports USB gamepads and many apps like GTAIII/Vice City, Riptide GP, and Shadowgun support generic gamepads. Using Pivot wouldn't allow you to use your Moga with those games, but using the Driver will Why MC4 has partial support for that mode, I have no idea.
Does the Moga actually clip to a Nexus 7?
If not, I wonder if there is some sort of hack to extend the clip or attach it another way.

I think they will have to update the pivot app to scan for the gameloft-installed version of MC4. It seems like an oversight that they forgot to add support. Maybe player911 will chime in, but I'd guess he bought MC4 from the play store.

It doesn't seem like there would be an easy way. The weight might also be different when trying to hold the nexus 7 in the clip. I think powera makes a larger version, though I just read that in one of the thread about the free deal and haven't looked for it.
MC4 shows in my Pivot app. Try uninstalling the Pivot app and reinstalling it AFTER MC4 is installed. Or a possible restart. I previously installed Sonic CD and MC4 before the pivot app.
That LAG you were talking about with MC4 is the SAME exact lag I'm seeing in Sonic CD. I use Sonic CD as a reference because it is a platformer and much easier to notice the lag. This is exactly what this thread is about. Trying to figure out how to fix the lag.
Currently I'm using JUST the MOGA Universal Driver app. I actually like it more because it comes with a Widget Toggle to turn the service on/off. It plays fine for Sonic CD and GSNES... but doesn't work 100% with MC4 (right analog stick doesn't work).
I'm thinking it could be the way BT is polling. Perhaps the BT send/receive speed is reduced or something. Please include your Rom version (stock 4.1.2, 4.2.1, or custom).
The MOGA works great on my Galaxy Nexus and looks mighty fine too. It is just my N7 that is having issues.

Bluetooth is very wonky in 4.2.1 and it is most likely why you receive lag.
If MC4 doesnt show up in your list your can start the Pivot app and drop to your home screen then start MC4 and its works fine.

True but if you launch from the Moga app, the game launches knowing you have a moga. So there is a few additional features you won't have if you launch normally. One such feature is the gamepad control overview page, where it shows a moga controller and all of the assignments.
And as far as 4.2.1 bluetooth being wonky, I knew this going in, which is why I'm confused as to why my Galaxy Nexus plays it fine... unless it still uses the old bluetooth drivers still. If everyone is having a problem with lag, ok, I'm ok with working toward a solution. If it is just me, I'd like to know so I can fix it.
I ask everyone with an N7 and a Moga controller to test out Sonic CD. It is very easy to notice right off the bat if your lagging or not.
At this point, we have several possible causes:
- The Moga App is causing delays (which I think is part of it)
- New Bluetooth Stack is causing delays (bandwidth, timing protocols, etc?)
- Kernel/Rom Combination
- Something else
woow guys, never heard of Moga..now i see the official site and i ended buying it...awesome!and only for not more than 40 euros..don't know you,but for prices in italy it's very cheap!

It seems to be a problem with the pivot app, as I was getting input-lag quite quickly when I was trying nova 3 on my galaxy s3 (I'm on 4.1.2, AOKP, btw) while using the universal driver I was having a blast playing emulator games without any input-lag. And yeah, for Modern Combat 3 the right analog stick was not working (also grenade button) when using system mode for the universal driver.

Guys i found this app called Real Racing 3 graphics in the play store. This app lets you set a desired video graphics quality for Real Racing 3 game.
Almost all Tegra 3 devices has default graphics setting set to low. As a result various visual features are not working, such as rear view mirrors. This app lets you choose the desired graphic option for real racing 3.

Not really about emulation, but the factors that affect it that google has no answer for.
1. I noticed the ouya gets very warm, not overheating but it makes me wonder if it's like my htc one where it throttles the gpu clock speed depending on temperature?
2. I run my games from a cheap usb stick; will games / movies run with better performance with a higher quality stick or if they are put in internal storage?
3. I heard that the overscan function does nothing. Maybe it's the update but mine fixes the aspect ratio perfectly, I'm just wondering if this has an impact on performance as well.
4. I've noticed at random on both ePSXe and FPSE (paid versions) flickering lines at the bottom of the screen. I have no more info on this but was curious to see if anyone else has the same problem. I was thinking it was some kind of interference since my ouya is next to lots of other eletronics. Or maybe if the overscan function has something to do with it.
I'm trying to make a perfect emulation storage box to replace my mass of tangled controllers, cables, and power strips in power strips for all my old consoles. If I find any useful info on these I'll post it, thanks!:fingers-crossed:
So the flickering lines only happen on hardware rendering mode, which is the best since software looks bad and opengl is too slow.
ePSXe doesn't have this issue on other android devices, the reason I use it over FPSE is the sound quality is much higher and more accurate.
The retroarch psx emulator is better imo than both epsxe and fpse except for the interface sux. That flickering thing drove me nuts on fpse menus but it didn't do it during gameplay for me.

I was using it on the OUYA to play castlevania sotn and the psx version of chrono trigger and it was the only one that made the audio and video pretty close to perfect. It wasn't really expert advice or anything. Sorry man. I just pretty much plugged and played. Didn't spend too much time configuring stuff.

Which Bios number did you use? And did you select mednafen or rearmed? You're helping me a bunch, I just keep running into slight problems that lower the quality of my emulation, and I'm pretty picky when given so many options.
Rearmed was the one I liked. For bios I'm pretty sure I went with scph1001 although I'm not sure at the moment I'm not home. I also had been running the cm10 build back when I was playing those games but I don't know that it makes any difference except that it screwed up the chrono trigger cutscenes on fpse. Also I used tegra overclock to set GPU to 520mhz maybe that played a role in performance. I tried really hard to find a standalone apk for the rearmed emulator with no luck. I couldn't ever get the buttons to map correctly with retroarch on my ps3 controller which blew my mind. Had to use sixaxis controller and swap buttons around to get it to map properly, but it worked perfect with the OUYA controller right out of the box. I didn't play any other games aside from those two so there's also the issue of some games needing differing settings to work right. I just found what worked for my narrow set of expectations. I'm kinda getting the urge to mess with it some more, maybe I'll have some time this weekend to check out this nostalgia and revisit the performance of the different emulators.

Well Playstation-wise I got it working almost perfectly. I used schp1001 bios for rearmed libretro, selected that in nostalgia and made sure in the main retroarch settings to have no filter, and to save on exit (you must actually hit the exit button to save).
Here were my settings once I was in the retroarch game menu with a rom loaded:
Core Options: frameskip 0, dynamic recompiler enabled, interlacing mode enabled, enhanced resolutions enabled, frame duping off.
Settings -> video options: vsync off, Threaded driver on, whatever aspect ratio you want.
Settings -> video options -> Shader options: Default filter nearest, shader passes 1, shader#0 advanced-aa(under antialiasing), shader#0 filter nearest, shader#0 scale 1x.
After all that, save new config and quit retroarch. These settings gave me near opengl graphics better than the original and enough speed to clearly play Final Fantasy 9 and Legend of Dragoon. It looks and plays better than fpse and epsxe.
?? glad you got it working right. I wish some clever dev would build a better GUI for just the rearmed psx emulator that would be great.

Last post on this matter, epsxe and fpse flickering on screen is fixed by disabling hardware overlays in advanced -> developer options on the ouya..

1) It's possible, but I doubt it. I think it's pretty unlikely that a Tegra 3, which is designed for fanless use, would overheat with a heatsink and fan. Throttling is common with smartphones because of the lack of a fan.
2) Anything cartridge based will typically be small enough that transfer speed isn't an issue. Anything disc-based was expecting to be reading from an optical disc, so even a slow flash-based solution is going to be faster.
Hi,
I've dug through the G4's chaotic settings, and the "gaming optimiser" isn't exactly descriptive.
I tested the following games:
1. Modern Combat 4
2. Minecraft PE
3. Summoners War
4. Deemo
Now, in MC4 and SW, the soft nav buttons are displayed, meaning the device is rendering the games at 2k resolution. That's overkill.
However, in Deemo and MCPE, the soft nav buttons are hidden, and gameplay is buttery (1080p)
I believe the latters are detected as a game, whilst the first ones aren't.
Is there a way to "fool" the device into thinking that... "A game IS a game"?
Or even better, a way to specify resolution per app?
Thanks
Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk
I wish there was a way to fool the G4 into thinking an app is a game so it runs in a HD resolution vs QHD. I'd like to run Chrome as a game because it is the app I use most and the battery savings would be nice. App Settings xposed allows changing resolution per app but does it really work?
