[Q] Australia M8 wont connect to cell network after Google Edition Conversion - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I put the google pay edition on my m8 but now it wont connect to the cell network. i used this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589 and have tried the unrooted and rooted versions and every time it doesn't allow me to connect.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure what to do at this point.
I'm on Telstra if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance everyone.

Well done space cadet, should have just bought the GPE......

I assume you flashed the gpe radio? That's most likely the problem.. Would check APN settings first, and if no, then you need to flash your radio back.

do you know how i could find that file? thank you for replying with a helpful comment.

i have searched everywhere and i can't find a replacement telstra radio.img
if anyone has this i would appreciate it so much.
it has been a few years since i last had an android and feel like a real dummy for not removing the radio.img before flashing the RUU. i really hope this problem is fixable. i'm loving my new phone but i really need it to be a phone.
thanks in advance to anyone who offers me some help. you are all amazing!

Has anyone found a solution to this? I was stupid enough to do the same thing. Aussie with Telstra htc one m8 and converted to GPE. It works well except for no service or data

I've got a backup of a Optus radio. My telstra work sim worked fine in it.

Can you please share it here ? Thanks

This is why it's important to make a note of everything before flashing anything. Obviously doesn't help now but hopefully lesson learned...

Here you go. Should do the trick. Let me know how it goes.

Apparently there is a new radio.img for Telstra at that link. Found it here:

A bit off topic question for you.
I see you have M8. I am deciding btwn S5 and M8. Any suggestion which should be the "ONE"?

Hi, sorry to bump an old thread - has this been resolved? I'm having the exact same issue. Also with Telstra.
GPE installed - no service.
I tried flashing the radio found on Whirlpool through Recovery ZIP but nothing...
Any info would be much appreciated.

[Radio] (GSM) Need Galaxy X radio: UIKL3

Hello,
Can someone upload the Galaxy X radio? I'm having trouble with Brazil carriers and would like to test the proper radio. My Galaxy Nexus is the UK version and the XXKK6 doesn't work really well here.
Thank you in advance!
Seconding this. Someone in the radio thread said they'd try to get a copy, but that was weeks ago and nothing has happened.
Anyone else able to contribute? Radio-ripping tools are available (to rooted users) in the radio-thread linked in my sig.
Don't know if it helps, but I´m using the Galaxy Nexus from Bell Canada (Baseband I9250UGKL1) and it works well on VIVO and TIM.

I've tried UGKL1 as well on TIM, but unfortunatelly i'm not so lucky.
I'm curious to see if the UIKL3 will solve my problem, if don't, then I'll be happy to change my carrier.
Thanks anyway man!
I have the Galaxy X (TIM) but...
as big dumb i am, i flashed the XXKK6
Is there any possibility to somehow extract it back from some place of the phone?
Thanks

Did you make a nandroid before flashing the UK radio? If yes, then you can restore it and use the Gnex tool to extract the radio
Do a nandroid before this process so you can go back from where you were

I do have a backup made with CWM before flashing the XXKK6 but i don't see the radio.img.
The only thing i found that can save us is that inside of the data.ext4.tar there is this folder \data\radio with two files: nv_data.bin and its md5.
I did restored this backuo but the baseband didn't change.
Any clue?
Sorry. Nandroid does not backup radio.
If you have a non-standard baseband or one otherwise not uploaded to the internet somewhere, you need to back it up explicitly.
More info about that in the thread linked in my sig, but I guess it's a little bit late for that.

[Q] Total noob!! htc wildfire s (marvelc) - VirginMobile

Hey guys,
I'm a total noob and will probably make a total fool of myself with my questions..
I had the Virgin Mobile HTC WFS (marvelc) phone in the states... Now I'm back in India and need to switch networks.. For that I've been told I need to unlock the phone and install a new OS (basically drop the virgin OS).. I've got the procedure and the files to s-off and root the phone.. what should I do next?
Thanks for any help!!

Call virgin mobile and get the 6 digit msl code for your wildfire s, that will unlock it, but
i dont think you could use the phone on another network, unless maybe you flash another firm ware? maybe a member here can chime in on this

Not sure of "stable" but someone has made CM9 for marvelc/virgin mobile phones. The creator of it has also made multiple ROMs for marvelc if you go to his profile. Heres the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1714550

Are there CDMA networks in India? If so, then help can be given. If there are only GSM phones in India, then you will have to get a new phone.
A GSM radio (and especially a full RUU) CANNOT be flashed on a CDMA phone. It will NOT work; you will brick your device.

@kalaker-There are a few CDMA networks around here.....so there musn't be any problem as far as Radio is concerened
@agarwalayush-S-OFF your phone,root it.....insert the CDMA sim you want.....and wait a bit.
The main dev of CM9(Modpunk) is bringing support to Marvelc(he added it in the current release but it doesnt seem to work correctly as of now)

You don't have a SIM card on CDMA. Only GSM networks have SIM cards.
Also, Simon already has a stable (for a beta) build in his CM9 thread for Marvelc. Modpunk will have to start a new branch to full support Marvelc.

The only one is beta version. It's a good, stable ROM, though.
The link is in the second post in the thread.
Known Issues:
No Camera
No Bluetooth
No Wi-Fi tether
my only thought is if you had an India cdma phone that's active you can back up the AAA key and flash that to your phone (its not like flashing a ROM)

I already manage to get SPC and also able to root the device and transfer an Indian CDMA network PRL but no success.
In some of the thread I came to know that I need to change the ROM is it so then please guide me the detailed steps.
My Model Number : HTC_A510c
ROM : 1.02.652.00
S-off, root, install custom recovery like cwm. Then you can flash one of the many roms for the marvelc.

HTC Manager Stocks in 1% when trying to upodate Htc on m9 on PC

Hello Comunity,
When I try to update my HTC one M9 via PC with the HTc manager it did recognize that there is a new update but when I press update it remains at 1% for hours, i don't knwo if this is a bug or something else.
Please advice.
Regards
I am having the same problem so I used Fiddler (web debugging tool) to try and figure out what was going on. I did discover that the HTC Manager makes a request to a server and it gets 404 in response. I don't know if its missing some authentication header or if the link is dead or what, we can only hope they fix it.
I am also having this same issue.
My phone is a Verizon phone, although im no longer using Verizon as my carrier. Does this matter?
HTC SYNC Manager stuck at 1%
I have always been able to use Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant to get updates.
Anyone else seeing this?
Thanx.

It's a full RUU, not an OTA.
Doesn'tatter what's on the phone currently, as it's a full wipe/full update/RUU.
