I'm a noob and I am French (no luck ^^'). I apologize for my bad English (thank you google Traduct...)
I may have bricked my acer iconia a100 ; I wanted to flash it to ICS but I did something wrong.
The result is that I only have access to the green acer logo and I am unable to do a hard reboot (reset button AND usual technique doesn't work)...
The fastboot works (USB dowload protocol) but does not allow me to access the flash memory (windows does not detect it).
I think I have tried everything...
Is there a solution? Will I be forced to call the Acer's customer service?

What did you do wrong? What were you doing to get you into your current situation?
I was too fast : I rooted with fastboot ICS (runit-win) by following the instructions BUT my version was still at 3.2
Clearly, the tablet stuck in the middle of the installation process (or I have not been patient enough) and so I had to restart.
Since then, I have no access at all to any function of the tablet, I can not make a hard reboot, restore, or even install a rom ...

Are you able to boot into the stock recovery? Try placing the update.zip on the sd card, then booting into it.
I tried, of course.

Did you place the file on the external sd (you can't try any rom, it has to be the official one)?
Yes.
"update.zip" of the original (and official) firmware. Just in case, I've added an "recovery.img" file (plus lot of several different files. You never know.. ).
All this files are in the external SD card.
If I remember correctly, another update (ICS) was still in the flash memory (with many other unnecessary files..). I no longer have access and I'm not even sure they are still existing ^^'
I have not found any similar topic on the forums, I hope that a solution exists...

It works fine at first but since the crash, I'm note sure anymore.
I think my error was just wanting to install "ICS-rooting" (runit-win) before flashing the ICS rom...

Essai avec une autre micro sd , et recopie le fichier update.zip .
Sinon tente de flasher ton A100 via l'image EUU :

J'en suis aujourd'hui à EUUs qui, lui, semble détecter mon A100 (via des drivers "picasso", je ne sais pas si c'est normal). Malheureusement, je n'arrive pas à trouver le numéro d'IUD alors que j'ai correctement suivi les tutoriaux (CPUID.txt ; 0x0411fc09010cXXXXX ; etc etc).
Si quelqu'un a une technique pour trouver son cpuid SANS utiliser l'interface de la tablette, je suis preneur...

ta tablette est elle reconnu en mode adb interface ?
Si c'est le cas, regarde dans les gestionnaire de périphériques, sur adb interface , dans le menu détail, l'onglet ''parent'' tu dois avoir un ligne du genre :
USB\VID_0502&PID_3325\37c74d043bfd155
ton uid est : 37c74d043bfd155 donc ton cpuid : 0x037c74d043bfd155
une fois redémarré en mode apx rentre uniquement ton uid cette fois-ci.
si tu as deja ton cpuid , eneleve juste le 0x pour avoir ton uid

your uid is : 37c74d043bfd155
so your cpuid : 0x037c74d043bfd155
If you have your cpuid , remove 0x for have your uid
Je peux me connecter en USB via 2 types de drivers :
- ACER Fastboot interface (bootloader ICS) mais qui dans mon cas semble défaillant.
- Acer Picasso USB Boot-recovery driver (EUUs mode) qui lui crée vraiment une liaison entre le PC et la tablette.
Malheureusement, aucune trace de ADB (avec le logiciel USBDeview ou avec le gestionnaire de périphériques Windows)...
J'ai essayé à peut près toutes les combinaisons d'UID possibles par rapport aux ID ayant un rapport avec Acer sur ma machine...

I'm able to connect the tablet via USB with two methods :
- ACER fastboot interface (ICS bootloader) but, in my case, appears to fail.
- Picasso Acer USB Boot-recovery driver (EUUs mode) which seems to creates succefully a connection between the PC and the tablet.
Unfortunately, no trace of ADB (with software USBDeview or peripherals manager of Windows) ...
I tried all possibles combinations of UID compared to IDs relevant to "Acer" on my machine ...
it sounds like you tried to unlock the bootloader while on honeycomb bootloaders. is that what you initially did? sounds like it flashed the bootloaders but im pretty sure u need to be on ics bootloaders first.
also download acer a100 drivers. make sure your pc drivers are correct. if u get fastboot workjng your golden

if you cant entry in fastboot mode (unlock)
you only can put a rom (update.zip) in external sdcard and pray xD
i recomended leak 1.0.12 or flexreaper rom mod (civato)
if you cant with this roms you can prove with this: http://code.google.com/p/acer-a100/downloads/list
in the webpage you can see 2 or 3 roms (HC 3.2)
and system/recovery/flexrom/boot
you can use only update.zip file, change the name ^^

If you can get to Fastboot and "PUSH" files to your A100 then try to use a backup img...

Hope they help, I would imagine if you can push the STOCK partition back into mmcblk0p1 your Acer would then go back to normal, if at worst, it will be able to recognize the UPDATE.ZIP...

One other thing... MAKE SURE, MAKE DAMN SURE you have the updated drivers from ACER... you will not find them through the A100 as ICS has yet to be released so you will HAVE to select the A200 and the file you download will be called: USB_ACER_1.0_A32HA40I_A.ZIP I would upload for you but cant do it from work... However, you can find them here: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

The french carrier Free Mobile just added EAP-SIM support on its network, apparently this protocol is not natively supported on Android.
I've read about Cyanogen adding this feature to their roms, but nothing more.
Any chance this could be added to the One X roms ?

Je viens d'appeler le SAV HTC au 0170759171 et je vous informe que ça a chauffé un peu avec l'opérateur parce qu'il me prenait pour un débil. En gros, il essayait de me dire que le problème vient de Free et non pas de HTC! Au final, j'ai pu le remettre à sa place et le convaincre que c'est HTC qui n'a pas inclus cette option. Il m'a dit qu'il va remonter le PB à HTC et s'ils recoivent beaucoup de demandes sur ce sujet, ils vont peut être considerer une solution.
Je vous invite donc à les appeler et à faire un peu de pression

Just in order to sum up the French part for non French readers, Adonix called HTC to ask to include EAP-SIM in their stock rom, and they answer that if they have many more requests from users they will take care of thess requests.
But Adonix, if you called HTC around your post date (October the 17th) they already know content of the current Jelly Bean deployement in France (that means they already know that was included in next version).
For all other Free user with stock rom, you can now perform the OTA update, the Jelly Bean integrate the native EAP-SIM, and you will be able to connect without any trouble, just search for FreeWifi_Secure, click on network and connect, nothing else to do.
Enjoy.

Kitkat, unfortunately, I upgraded to jb and it still doesn't support eap-sim.
I need to use freewifi config app from store to enable this functionality. I installed jb using ruu with full format.
did you upgrade using ota? Had you used the free wifi config app before upgrading (was the hotspot configured prior update)? What's your cid and fw version? I have a European HTC__203.

No need to. Just download and install FreeWifiConfig from store and use the application to enable FreeWifi_secure.

2. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
3. Re try the flashing procedure.
4. Tell us here what happened.
5. Good luck.

When you looked in device manager, did you pluged the phone with the Volume + pressed?
What did you PC say?

oui j'ai bien déinstaller et réinstaller mes drivers, j'ai bien conecter mon téléphone au pc en appoyant sur volume + avant de le brancher, oui j'ai bien utiliser le cable usb officiel du téléphone (j'ai essayer avec un autre et ca ne marche pas)
je veux bien mettre une capture d'ecran de l'erreur que j'ai mais a chaque fois que j'essaye d'en mettre un j'ai un message du forum comme quoi c'est interdit de mettre un lien
en gros le message après d'avoir brancher mon téléphone a mon pc et que je vais dans le gesitonaire de peripherique c'est "peripherique usb inconnu (echec de demandeur de descripteur de péripherique) etat : Erreur de pilote"

I reinstall qfil but I have a question after unpacking the file qualcool driver 2.1 ... I find myself with two .cab file that 7-zip offers to unpack and I do not know what to do with it? And in the other folder I have two files qualcool_usb_driver and lenovo usb driver I install the driver lenovo usb driver but when I go into the other folder ave 4 under file checked free testcertificate and tools I do not know what in Do so even when doing right click> install with administrator rights nothing happens thank you in advance ???

j'ai reinstaller qfil mais j'ai une question apr�s d'avoir d�compresser le dossier qualcool driver 2.1... je me retrouve avec deux fichier .cab que 7-zip me propose de d�compresser et je ne sais pas quoi en faire ? et dans l'autre dossier j'ai deux dossier qualcool_usb_driver et lenovo usb driver j'ai installer le driver lenovo usb driver mais quand je me rend dans l'autre dossier ave 4 sous dossier checked free testcertificate et tools je ne sais pas quoi en faire car m�me en faisant clique droit > installer avec les droits administrateur il ne se passe rien merci d'avance ???
et d�sole je n'arrive toujours pas a poster de capture d'ecran alors que je sais comment faire avec noelskack j'ai un message me disant comme quoi je ne peux pas poster de lien car j'ai moins de 10 post c'est normal ca ?

2. press power button for 20 secconds and tell me what is going on!

press volume up and until connect with the cable to pc
Don't use the USB cable you got with the phone it is garbage I had no end of problems with it and ended up using an old USB cable I had for a Huawei that worked a treat ,the driver I used is the Qualcomm_USB_Drivers.zip .
Hello i try what you told me and since the last time i had posted here i had more touch on my phone i try to connect it to my pc by pressing volume + and with a Other usb cable than the one provided with the phone but I do not know what happens but nothing happens when I plug it on my pc whereas it is more than two weeks that I no longer touch
And also I wanted to reinstall the qualcomm_usb_drivers.zip but when I unpack the zip I come across a .exe lenovo machin stuff but I fall into a folder with subfolder I do how already to install it on my pc?

Qualcomm_USBDriver_2.1.0.5.zip or Qualcomm_USB_Drivers.zip
Download the second one I couldn't find an exe in the first,the file is LenovoUsbDriver_autorun_1.0.16.exe

I have heard that the SamFirm software can check if an existing firmware is available.
I tried but no success with following keyword :
-modèle : GT-7105
-région : XEF (j'ai aussi testé FR/FRA)
And i don't know the following keyword :
-PDA
-CSC
-Phone
I recommend flashing the latest stock firmware to the phone regardless of what is currently on the phone.
Looks like a lot of the older firmware files have been removed from all sites (updato.com, sammobile.com, and samsung-firmware.org).

I have download with samfirm software a firmware with model GT-N7105 and region XEF (France i suppose).
So the file what i have download have the following name : GT-N7105_1_20170308100739_c563gd0q55.zip
Base band associated are N7105XXSFQA5/N7105OXXFNE1/N7105XXUFND3/N7105XXSFQA5
Is it compatible with N7105AEDMD1 or N7105AEUENA1 ?
So, i have flash with odin 3.13 the smartphone galaxy note II with .tar.md5 (AP option) file associated with GT-N7105_1_20170308100739_c563gd0q55.zip
The phone have been succed the flash.
My problem is the following -> the smartphone is lock in samsung logo and the led bright light blue and passed to deep blue.
Solutions ?
Can i get the firmware of my another smartphone galaxy note II ?
At the beginning, i just want to flash a android ROM and note the firmware, i supposed the phone will be blocked because of the firmware update.

Boot into recovery and perform a factory reset.
Flashing the latest stock ROM will also update the bootloader and baseband.

What is "ROM stock" ?
Stock ROM is an unmodified Samsung ROM.
