Is there an MIUI rom with jellybean or Kitkat for the Kindle fire with no/little bugs on it? And if no, can someone please make one and have the rom recognize it as a tablet and not a phone. Thanks in advance:laugh:

If you flash a ROM with a newer version of android, yes (like a CM9 ROM)

Hi Brahmaji1234,
you can install a custom rom based on JB. However I must point your attention that if you did the upgrade with a standard rom for your phone, bootloader might be upgraded too. Therefore return back to JB could lead to a faulty device as you will not be able to boot it any more.
Check some tool which could read with bootloader version you have before doing anything
Hello everybody,
is there any chance to flash only the kernel? If that could be done, we could flash the 3.5 kernel on a Fire Phone with fire OS 3.6.2. Then use towelroot and flash back the 3.6.2 kernel. And we will have a rooted fireOS 3.6.2.
Please let me know if it is possible!
Thank you!

i have the same question, I already read all the threads I found on this topic and seems like there is no way to install an android 5 based rom on this phone. I just flashed fire nexus rom on mine works fine, not a big fan of CM.
