Stuck in Recovery

Hello all, I've searched around and tried many different things to resolve my little problem. I'll try and list out all the details of what I've done and perhaps someone could help me find the error in my ways.
I've got a - VZW Droid Incredible - S-On - Unlocked. The H.boot Is 1.02.000 Radio is 2.15.10.07.07.
*History*
I started with a bootloader locked Droid that was stuck in a boot loop that started after a failed OTA update. The H.boot was lower too, I'm not sure what it was. The device would only boot into the stock recovery and factory reset wouldn't help. It just hung on the white HTC screen.
To fix that I tried to flash a variety of stock images from the SD but each time it failed with a versioning error. I assume that was due to the bootloader being locked and on an OLD h.boot After some troubleshooting I was able to issue a fastboot oem reset command and I was able to boot into the OS.
So then I began working with a factory default Droid running 2.2
Once I was in the OS I used the HTC Dev site to unlock the bootloader. That all went well. I was running Stock 2.2 with a unlocked bootloader. Next I flashed a custom recovery. copied a ROM to the SD and booted into recovery to flash CM 7.2. I began to run into problems at this point.
Then and Now when I boot into recovery (TWRP, or ClockworkMod) I'm unable to mount cache, internal SD, External Sd, nor can I toggle USB. I'm not really clear on what causes that. However because I can not mount the SD I can not flash a ROM, and my attempts to get back to a working phone have been unfruitful thus far.
I created a problem at this point when I wiped System. I ASSUMED that I could drop the stock image back onto the SD card and get back to factory but that doesn't work. Because I wiped system each time I reboot the phone I go directly into recovery.
( I really didn't think that it would mount system and wipe it because it wouldn't mount the other partitions... WRONG)
So now I have a inaccessible SD card while in recovery, a wiped system partition (and boot), and no clear way to get back to good.
I've downloaded numerous stock images, formatted two different SD cards FAT32 saved the stock image to the SD Card as PB31IMG.zip and booted to HBoot watched the progress bar load/complete then it stops and I'm left sitting at the bootloader screen. I can reboot expecting to boot into a stock system but each time I'm dropped back into recovery and recovery will tell me that I have no loaded OS, to me that means the PB31IMG didn't write to system, but IDK.
A RUU won't work because I can't boot into android.
I did extract the system.img and the boot.img from a stock image and used fastboot to write both of those partitions without error, but that didn't help either.
Does anyone have some Thoughts or advice on what to do next?
Many thanks,

Try this, reformat your sdcard fat32 with a pc. Then place only this file http://dinc.does-it.net/Stock_Images/4.08.605.15/PB31IMG.zip on the sd in no folders (Do not rename). Boot to hboot (vol down + power), it should find the file and prompt you to press vol up to install. I think your issue with the ruu before was that you were trying to flash an older version than you already have installed. If that dosent work try fastboot flashing cwm again, and see if it can mount the sd then.
Thread moved. Please post all questions here in the correct section of the forum.
Thanks

You'll probably get better help in the Incredible S section. This is for just the plain olé Incredible.

[Q] Please help i need copy rom file , but i can acces only CWM and fastboot

Hi there,
Please i need help,
I succesfully unlocked bootloader, install CWM and flash file, but i forgot to copy second file to phone. Now i can boot only too CWM or Fastboot and i need to copy rom file to phone ( One X).
Mounting in CWM not working
Thanks for help.
That is fairly easy...
Go into recovery, then select mount and from there mount mass storage, plug it in and there you go.
EDIT: OK now I saw that you said "Mounting in CWM not working"...
Could you please describe the problem... is there an error or it just doesn't pop up on the pc
I REALLY HOPE that you made a backup first so if nothing helps restore your nandroid and try again.
DO NEVER ANYTHING before BACKUP
Thanks

Flash the boot.img in fastboot again, if you haven't already. even if you have it won't do any harm to do it again
in fastboot flash the kernel again and clear the cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache

yu yureka (twrp unable to mount /persist)

can anyone please tell me whats that partition is used for and how to remove that error?
my phone was stuck at boot screen (cyanogen logo) so i tried everything i can
1. data wipe.
2. reflashing stock rom
3. flashing custom rom.
but its still stuck at boot logo, i took it to service center they said motherboard is faulty. but i doubt that is the case because everything is working good in twrp i can access internal memory, touch working well every button works fine usb is detected, fastboot mode is accessible, i need advice please tell me what to do thanx.

HELP - stuck in fastboot/bootloop, can't reach after Sony logo

Hi guys!
Today I tried again to install TWRP on my Sonyh Xperia XZ2C because LineageOS Recovery doesn't provide Nandroid backup, which is a shame.
I tried many ways described over the web, none of those worked, and I ended up with a boot loop at startup with that naughty message "your device is corrupted it cannot be trusted and will not boot". I can't boot to Lineage, neither to recovery. I'm stuck.
With device turned off, I can eventually press volume down, plug it to computer, access fastboot mode (blue led), flash+boot the LineageOSrecovery.img, then the device restart, Sony logo appears... and that's all, I'm stuck with logo in boot loop, and I can't go anywhere further.
I tried to change boot slot (without knowing if it could help with this problem at all) but I alway get "unknown option".
I'm panicking right now, I can't find any way out to this bootloop, if someone could help it will be sooo appreciated!
I tried hard to find a solution for 4 hours now, I'm completly stuck and I can't even sleep. That's why I finally reached out here.
For an unknown reason, I succed to boot on Lineage Recovery (not TWRP) this morning. I flashed LineageOs rom.zip using adb sideload. After rebooting, the recovery tolds me that I had to wipe everything because the system partition seems to be corrupted, so I did.
I'm a bit tired to lost everything since I made all of this to do Nandroid backups with TWRP........ but I have a fresh new install, my phone works again so it's fine.
But I still need to make Nandroid backups. If someone had ever successfully booted/flashed TWRP on his XZ2C without bricking it, It will be really appreciated for sharing is knowledge

weird pe 12 rom flash. not loading to system. help pls

got unlucky (or dumb) during an attempt to install pixel experience. something like a detective story
firstly i wrote vbmeta and twrp. ive got smth like a fastboot loop. i used different twrp and it booted into it well. tho noticed that the folders in "install" menu turned into something you get when you fall asleep on a keyboard (names like "303ujdw09ejcf09ejf"). the phone memory was inaccessible from pc.
so i wiped internal memory and it got fine. except the inability to mount system and stuff. trying to flash a room gave me errors like "failed to mount /system (np such directory)" etc.
then i tried different twrp build and it worked well and i even managed to flash pixel experience 12.
formatted and was happy as never. pressed a button to load into sys. but it took me to fastboot where it was reloading itself infinitely. an attempt to load into recovery gave me a twrp logo flickering screen.
i feel like there’s a tiny stupid mistake that i make
btw sorry for my partial incompetence. im much more of a front end dev rather then that deep end stuff
i woulld be very thankful for any reply, the whole situation gives such a frustration and sadness
the original stystem was RMX2063_11_A.51
then i maneged to upgrade to PixelExperience_RMX2061-12.0-20220121-1131-UNOFFICIAL
but now i only have the flickering screen with twrp logo
