It is unlocked, and rooted. Has HBOOT version 0.98.0000. Gingerbread 2.3.4 and HTC sence 2.1 oh it has S-ON
I have tried Revolutionary; but believe I need to be on HBOOT version 0.97.0000
I do have clockMod recovery ver 5.0.2.0 BUT when I wipe cache and try to instal a new rom, it reboots but never goes past the HTC screen. I have to reload my last back up.
I really can't stand HTC sense and want to load CW or another 'more' standard android ROM.

Hello,
I have a recently purchased Desire from 3 Moblie UK.
Bravo PVT4 20000 erasesize
FROYO 2.2
HBOOT .93
Baseband version - 32.48.00.32U_5.11.05.14
I have installed Unrevoked 3.31 and Clockwork recovery mod.
All went as expected and I have successfully tested Oxygen gingerbread roms.
I have installed a backup using clockwork to restore my stock 2.2 sense ui etc - also completed fine.
Now I am trying to return totally to stock - unrooting and removing clockwork from the recovery loader.
I have tried:
PB00IMG.zip v3 leak (placed in root of sd card)
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00. 32U_5.11.05.27_release ( i extracted the rom.zip and placed in the root of my sd card)
upon booting into recovery mode it says both of these are unsuitable.
Can anyone point me at a ruu that should return my phone to stock?
Thanks!
There aren't any recent 3 UK RUUs available, you could use a gold card to flash the 2.29.405.5 one but 3 might not fix it as it's on a different ROM.
The problem you have is being on a PVT4 HBOOT you're going to have an SLCD and the 3 UK RUUs about are for AMOLED only
So am I effectively stuck rooted and therefore also going to be unable to use OTA updates?
Yes but custom ROMs will be updated to newer builds as and when they are available
Why do you want to go back to stock? Only reason would be for warranty returns

Exactly that reason. I don't need to warranty but I'd like to know I have that option. That and just for the 'because' of it.
Anyone ever get the answer to this?
ie ruu that works with pvt4 - 2.3.3 wwe leaves much not working.
first my device : HTC Desire (bravo) with HBOOT 0.93.0001, rooted, MIUI rom A2SD .30.
So I'm trying to S-OFFed my HTC with the Alpharev 1.8 and now I wait for 2 hours and my device it's still on "Flashing new bootblock : OK" and the pc is on "Waiting for flashing complete..."
what I have to do?
waiting again and again?
something else?
Thank for your responses.
So I unpluged my phone, remove the battery, hopefully it reboot on the hboot, just have to reflash the rom.

if it doesnt work try revolutionary
..and for alpharev, you must have a rooted stock froyo 2.2, so if you flashed a non stock rom, it probably wont work.

you don't actually need to be rooted, I've done the process (more than once) straight after using a RUU (and reverting to S-ON), as revo gains temproot and then is able to S-OFF
In fact, I start from the latest Leedroid HD.
I've redo the S-OFF with the Revolutionary beta app for windows and working very well.

Hi, you don't need s-off to flash roms,do a nandroid backup of current setup before just in case.
just download cm version you desired. Put it on your sdcard. from cwm, wipe data/ factory reset, clear data, system and caches (not sdcard) then flash zipped rom from cwm. Don't forget the Google apps pack (gapps) if you need market etc etc. Flash directly after rom flash, before reboot for best results.
All you need is in here.

" once its gone,its GONE."
All you need is clockworkmod recovery version 3 and higher for flash CyanogenMod.
Unrevoked supports this hboot, my wildfire is rooted that way (but still s-on) and after u r rooted just flash the rom via recovery

Hello, i have unlocked my phone with htc official tool, and it have installed a 1.03.0003 hboot. Now I want to flash a custom rom. But it is possible to "undo" all and go back to a 0.93 hboot for flashing (example) cm7 based roms?
Thanks
NO...i think....
Apparently it is possible to gain root access, but about changing hboot I'm not so sure if revolutionary team would bother with it. In summary - fail.
SwiftKeyed from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk.
in fact, i am now able only to install stock hboot custom roms, like ics beta.. revolutionary tool works only with 1.02 hboot, at the moment.. I have tried goldcard, flash old hboot with fastboot, but nothing.. Hope someone will be able to "delete" this hboot...
Hi there,
After unlocking my Desire HD with the official HTCdev bootloader unlock service I installed Clockwork 5.0.2.7111102. From here I installed SuperUser 2.3.6.3 and it seems I have root access.
Both through ROM Manager as manual through ClockWork I have tried to install several custom ROMs. I did wipe the user data beforehand etc. But after reboot every time it keeps hanging at the white HTC screen.
I havent made backup of previous version. My phone is stuck completly. I can do nothing but only new rom..
Can someone please help me with this issue? Many thanks!

S-On
HBoot 2.00.0029

Android 2.3.5
HTC sence 3.0
Software 3.12.405.1
Kernel 2.6.35.10-9931a37e
When you unlock using the HTC dev method you have to flash the boot.img separately.
Take the boot.img of whatever rom you want and flash it by running
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
For future reference the correct method is
1)flash rom in recovery
2)boot back into hboot and flash roms boot.img
4ext recovery has a new option of flashing boot.img when son all in the same step.(make it similar process to soff devices

You need to switch to S-OFF in order for flashing to be successful. Use this then once you boot into Hboot and see S-off, then you can try to flash the rom...
