Xperia M Single Sim Can't play m4a files - Sony Xperia M

I have a sony xperia M updated to the latest 4.3 android. It is not rooted. I decided to download some podcasts for listening. I tried playing the files but nothing. Neither the stock nor the ProPlayer can't support them. The streaming from inside the podcast apps says error. I have tried the same apps with my old huawei u8800+ everything works fine. Anyone has found any solution? I have tried BeyondPod, Pocketcast and DoggCatcher. All of them don't function.

PowerAmp ftw.

It works but I don't get it why the other players can't. PlayerPro works fine on my Huawei and my Asus TF201.Why is there a problem with the Xperia M. Is there some sort of extra apk that I need to download? Like a driver or something? It does't make sense.

[Q] Google Music not working on ICS 4.0.3 CM9, b.0.2.3

Hello!
I can't play any song on Google Music app with the ROM ICS 4.0.3 CM9, it always force-closes the application. Anyone else with the same problem?
Didint try that ROM yet but it works for me with sandvold's latest. Did you try other music players like poweramp, winamp etc from market?

Oh sorry never tried that. I was thinking of normal playback from SD card.
I am getting the same thing. I have tried moving to /system/app, removing stock music app, as well as several versions as well, as has been done on other ICS devices, with no success.
I updated to b0.2.4 and i'm still having the same issue
I was in the same boat, but the only way to suceed is to use a 3rd party app.
For example DubbleTwis is a really good one
The problem is being handled in the main thread of this ROM.

[Q] Google Play Music problem

Hi, i have a problem, my google play music app does not play music. It says could not play the track you requested. It worked on other roms, but i think the new update somehow does not let me play music in my country(Lithuania). But it's not online music, it's music from my storage so i don't know what to do. Oh and my Apollo Doesn't work too. But other players work, for example Poweramp. So please help me solve this problem.
(P.S. my phone : Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 CM11 4.4.4.)

Q: Way to transfer mp3 files not downloaded via Google Play Music?

Hi all,
I didn't see this posted, and I don't think this is currently possible (at least no application to do it yet, seems like with root we could do anything right??) but is there a way to transfer mp3 files to the watch? I don't use Google Play Music for anything and have all my mp3s on my computer and phone. This doesn't allow them to transfer through Play Music.
Any methods on how to put mp3s on the watch to enable listening via bluetooth headphones directly to the watch?
Thanks!
Use Sony's Walkman app. You should find a download link on xperiablog.net

Thanks dude!
So how does one actually transfer the files on there? Messing with the Walkman app ti seems to be just a music player. What I am hoping to do, however, is transfer mp3s onto the watch itself and play from it directly.. (such as not needing my phone when running).
Create new playlist. This can then be synced to a Wear device (over BT).
Awesome! Thank you! Working good from my note 4!

Sony Music Colored Notification on Oreo

Hello,
I recently updated to Android 8 with CarbonROM on my Xperia Z3C. I used the Sony Apps Enabler Magisk Module to download the Sony Music app from the Play Store but I noticed that the music notification doesnt change color depending on the album art. It works fine when I use Spotify. Is that feature not present in the Sony Music app? Or is there a mod or something that enables it?
I have Sony music version 9.4.0.A.0.1
Edit: I updated to version 9.4.1.A.1.1 and it still doesnt work

Hmm, really weird. I also use Spotify and Sony Music and it worked perfectly fine (both on lineageos and stock). However, that was only with oreo (8.0/8.1). Now I'm on Pie and, gotta say, I do miss that feature.
