[Q] Trouble with music albuns on Arc

Sometimes when I transfer a music folder containing an album to my arc, the music player divides the album in two. I have checked the music's mp3 tag and everything seems ok. It's really annoying. I'm using 2.3.3. Anyone is having this problem ??

Yes I have this problem as well also using 2.3.3 I tried making sure they all have the same art then restarted never worked but. It just splits my albums into 2 with the exact same name not all but quite a few.

Hi everyone
Recently I flashed CM7 and everything works great exept for playing music. Whenever I play music the phone doesn't let me unlock the lockscreen. The lockscreen comes up, but it doesn't respond to my touching. I've used different music player but that doesn't help. The lockscreen gets frozen.
Im using CM7 with as music player PowerAMP (tweaking the audio didn't help either). I also use Launcher Pro.
Maybe the standard music player from CM7 works better, but I unistalled it..... does anyone know where to find the .apk for that music player?
Another problem is that the time and date always jump back to 01-01-1980 and 12:00. Anyone has a solution for this?

I think the problem is that you uninstall the stock music player.
You can find that apk file from the CM7 zip file which is the whole ROM you have flashed in recovery.
Open the zip and go to /system/app/Music.apk that's the apk

Somehow that apk file isn't in the system/app folder. But I'll look into the .zip file on my computer, maybe it's in there.

[q] updating database?

okay, so when i add the music to my phone, everything works great, but if i change the album art for one song and replace it on the phone, the album art wont update. it will still use the older one which was deleted. so its like the database isnt updated, but if i just add or delete songs, it will update, just use the older album art. how do i get the walkman to refresh or update database? the other 3rd party players like poweramp work great, but i want the walkman to work too. btw im using xperia s, .55 firmware.
oh and one more thing, when i click on download music information in walkman, it would download like the artist images that appear in "my music" tab in the player, so not the album art, the artist image. the thing is, for example, for adele, it downloaded some 3 black guys who i dont even know who they are, and for beyonce it didnt download any artist picture? how do i manually change that?

album art loads sometimes without any problem sometime i have to click the like icon on the player then the album art comes up.
Dont know weather this is aknown bug or only with me?

This may be unrelated entirely, but when I installed the MusicBox mod this morning, Google Play Music started having issues...but it was force closing, not having album art issues. Like I said, may be unrelated (and probably is) but thought I'd let you know if you have installed MusicBox recently.

Try using PowerAmp or the stock music player.
Musicbox wont work with PA but u can enable beats.
Anyway try some AOSP Rom if u want to play with Enhancers.

Well, the only reason that I have been sticking with Google Play Music is because I have all of my music online (and can manage it online), so I do not have to take up valuable storage room on my SD Card with music files. Is there another music player out there that will utilize my collection on Play Music other than Google's?

Xperia M Single Sim Can't play m4a files

I have a sony xperia M updated to the latest 4.3 android. It is not rooted. I decided to download some podcasts for listening. I tried playing the files but nothing. Neither the stock nor the ProPlayer can't support them. The streaming from inside the podcast apps says error. I have tried the same apps with my old huawei u8800+ everything works fine. Anyone has found any solution? I have tried BeyondPod, Pocketcast and DoggCatcher. All of them don't function.

It works but I don't get it why the other players can't. PlayerPro works fine on my Huawei and my Asus TF201.Why is there a problem with the Xperia M. Is there some sort of extra apk that I need to download? Like a driver or something? It does't make sense.
