Hi, I have the Blackberry Bold 9700 running on OS v5.0.0.862 bundle 1446 platform 5.1.0.175.
I would like to use it as a headset and input device for my android tablet Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) LTE edition running android Jellybean 4.3.
I have only 1 SIM card with call+data plan and have decided to place it in the tablet. Hence my blackberry is without a sim card.
I would like the tablet to push calls and sms text messages (if possible also emails) to the blackberry phone so that I can answer them on the phone without touching the tablet. As there is no sim card in the phone, I would like the connection to be via bluetooth.
I would also like my Bold 9700 to be an input device (keyboard) to type emails/documents on my tablet.
Please advise on how to go about the above. Thanks.
P.S. Tablet talk does not work on Blackberry. I think it has to do with bluetooth's profiles but got lost somewhere on bluetooth's HID profile and do not know how to sync them on both devices.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

While preparing to storm chase last night I started to wonder if there was a way to use my EVO to send GPS coordinates to my radar software on my laptop. Has anyone done something similar to this? I've looked at apps that were supposedly suppose to do this in the past, but was not able to get them to work.
Just wanted to know if anyone else had any experience doing this. I already use wireless tethering for the internet connection now, but it would be great if I could just bring the laptop and phone and have it all covered.
Also, as a side note, I have noticed a handful of apps that will send the data via Bluetooth, but I do not have Bluetooth available on my laptop, so I would prefer to just be able to transmit via USB. I may just have to break down and buy a bluetooth module for my laptop.
As of right now it seems that this isn't possible. Someone else with a Droid incredible wanted to do the exact same thing. It seems that gps module in the phone isn't capable of sending anything via USB. Maybe Bluetooth would actually work! Here's the read.

I Still have problem! Try doubletwist - nothing (GNexus not compability), Winamp - nothing (Searching...). Whats you reccomends?
So, I love this phone and hate it at the same time.
First off, just at random, the BT, Wi-Fi or GPS will just turn off. Has not happened for a couple days, nothing has really changed.
Now the big issues. These are driving me nuts....
I have a Pyle PLDN74BTi (don't laugh, it was dirt cheap) and it supports Bluetooth audio and tagging and speakerphone from a BT phone. All the features work except the tagging. I cannot get BT to display the audio info or the phone info.
Second, I just bought an iBolt xProDockX. When I dock it, the phone recognizes its docked, but it will not open the doc app upon dock. I look in the default apps, and the dock isn't even listed. I purchased Car Home Ultra and it wont auto open, I even install the dock&drive app from iBolt and it wont auto open upon docking either.
Anyone else having these stupid issues with their phone? I have cleared all the apps, and I have restarted the phone. No Dice.
You posted this in the S3 forum, not the Note 3... I doubt you will get any help here

****! Sorry. I don't know what happened.
Note the attached screen shot of the Device Manager on a brand new Windows 10 64 Bit machine when a Verizon Note 10+ 5G is connected to the PC's USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C jack with the cable that comes from Samsung with their 45W charger. Everything works perfectly including connectivity with the PC's file manager to access the files on the phone. It's just that I am a somewhat spoiled perfectionist techie and not sure why I am getting this. I've searched and haven't found any "driver's" (even though it appears everything is natively supported).
Any thoughts? My phone is not named "SAMSUNG_Android" - so that is a default designation...

When I connect my device, it appears as "samsung sm-975F"
Mine is SM-976V... And, drum roll.... Does the Device Manager say there are no driver's for it on your PC?

I hadn't put ADB yet on my phone but duh -

My device fell off an aeroplane seat-back table and the keyboard stopped working (the official Bluetooth, magnetic Pixel C keyboard). No problem I thought, I'll just buy another as I know they're not the most robust. I removed the old one from Bluetooth devices but I cannot get the new one to pair with the Pixel C. It does not appear at all when I scan for new Bluetooth devices. Here's what's weird:
I have successfully paired the keyboard to an Android phone and an iPhone so I know the keyboard works fine
I have successfully paired other devices (phones, headphones, smart speaker) with the Pixel C so I know Bluetooth pairing works on the Pixel C
I have tried the 'left-shift + P + A + I + R' reset on the keyboard. I have factory reset my Pixel C. I have tried using Bluetooth "force-pair" apps from Google Play. No matter what I do it will not see the keyboard. My next step is to root and re-flash the Pixel C with a new ROM but that's pretty drastic. Before I go down this route has anybody seen anything like this before and have any suggestions?
Same here man, tried on the new Lineage and now on the new Arrow OS, that's what displayed but then in bluetooth settings, nothing.

I am starting to think the keyboard is faulty ? How did you try it on other devices ?
