ROM and ROOT for LG Optimus LTE P936

I have new LG phone . My phone info. as follows:
LG Optimus True HD LTE
LG-P936
Android 2.3.6
Baseband: P936-MDM9200B-V10c-APR-2012-XX
Kernel 2.6.35.11
How to root the phone and flash other ROM like CM9? Thanks

Woundering the same.. ordered mine and i will get it tomorrow (sweden) first thing i want is to root and install cm9 to it! and if someone knows if lte radio works with cm9 in sweden?

Me too.....who can help us?

There's a Super One Click root that works. You just have to be persistent with it. It will fail a few times, but if you keep at it, it will eventually succeed. So far, noone seems to know what the pattern is, it just works.

Has anyone verified the method? I have been trying for a while and it still doesnt work....hope others have better luck

May I know which version for Super One Click can root P936?

Try Super one Click (latest version for the home page)
Always stop at the step 7 after reboot
try more than 5 times

can flash LG Nitro HD Custom ROM?

Try this method:

Extract the rar-file and click "TPSparkyRoot.bat".
After that just follow the instructions on Screen.
(Please note that you have to bring your phone in USB-Debug-Mode!!!)
Let me know if it works out for you guys.

More specific info's please... like what version of ROM are you on right now would maybe be helpful. A simple "dont work" is just the headline. :cyclops:

The only rom that can be rooted is the at&t leaked ics rom.
But with that rom I can only connect to HK's Egde network.
I end up using CM9.

may I know does you means you can use 4g lte in HK with CM9 Rom
Also how to install it because I still can't root it

Stock on Samsung Logo after flashing back to Gingerbread

My Ace 2 is stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Ace 2" . The Problem was started when I was flashing my ace 2 to Jellybean 4.1, I have problems with like lagging, crashing etc etc now I want to back to Gingerbread or return to stock for short but when I try to flash it. Odin says "Pass" but the phone is stuck on the splash. I can go to Download mode but I can't go to Recovery mode to clear the cache and some resetting. I live in the Philippines incase that you will link me an official gingerbread rom for the galaxy ace 2.

Did you use search option or try reading before starting new thread?

LOL. flash XXLK6 then go to download mode again, flash Philippine software. worked for me.

[Q] Is there an official US 4.2.2 firmware available for N5110?

No offense to the folks running good versions of the UK 4.2.2 firmware, but since the U.S. version is out does anyone have that available to install on a a rooted but stock N5110 wifi note 8?

My US GT-N5110 Note 8.0 was updated to 4.2.2 through the setup menu last week. I found a couple issues with it. I would rather to stay with 4.1.2.

not sure why you can't just upgrade to the US 4.2.2 via Kies and then just root it? I can see if you were asking for a deoxed zipalign stock version, but since you didn't mention anything of that... just unroot and turn your 4.1.2 back to stock, and load up Kies and upgrade to 4.2.2 then root it.

no. it is available....where did you guys come up that it is not?

First I was talking about a version to get that was downloadable on my own not via ota or kies.
I rooted but i am not running custom rom or recovery... Kept everything else stock.
And I can't unroot and update via ota because I get message about my device being modified still after I use voodoo rootkeeper. Anyway I am at a loss on how to update now anyway and I really don't want to use a custom rom. .

I have 2 Note 8.0s (GT-N5110). One is running CM10.2 and the other WAS running that CivZ ROM; now it's running stock 4.2.2 with root. I go back and forth between original ROM with these 2 units. Just using Kies going back to stock. and they are US version of 4.2.2

it is at http://www.sammobile.com/, go search your device number...make sure you download the right version. If you have N5110 US WiFi, you should be downloading "N5110UEFMI1_N5110XARFMI1_XAR.zip", unzip it, when you unzip, you should end up N5110UEFMI1_N5110XARFMI1_HOME.tar.md5, and then use odin to flash it...remember, this is stock firmware, so if you device rooted, you will loose...

Korean F180S ICS KDZ needed. Please, if anybody have this KDZ please share...

I tryed to update my F180S with Mobile Support Tool, and it did it. to 4.1.2
But when i inserted a sim card, the baseband, IMEI are all gone... just nothing. I heard if I flash back to Stock 4.0 ROM it will restore....
I searched it in many forums, sites. Tried to flash many ther kdz's but it won't help....
Just anyone who have the original kdz... please share it

i think you forgot flashing your baseband after installing kdz, if yes so baseband link ishere
Unzip the downloaded archive and you will find a batch file named ‘modem-flash’ inside it. Make sure ‘USB Debugging’ is enabled on your phone and your phone is in ‘Charge only’ mode while connected to the PC. Run the ‘modem-flash’ batch file.
Keep an eye on your phone screen as you will need to tap the grant permission button on SuperSU pop-up. If you miss the pop-up as it expires after 10 sec, run ‘modem-flash’ batch file again.
Once the baseband has been flashed successfully, reboot your phone
and if you want to revert back so kdz files are here

No. i didn't forgot to flash baseband. I flashed it many times by many ways, but the result is same. I still haven't got back my signals6

I'm started to thinking about I have backed up wrong baseband files..... Ohhh, I blame myself....

Flashing basebands from other version of optimus G is safe just flash back correct one.

nmka0601 is right m8, the topic title says ICS but after installing your phone is android 4.1 and that is for me JELLYBEAN!!!

there is no official kitkat for e986 but you can flash custom rom if you want

It an lg e986 update for turkey. Its not a custom rom.

I've the same problem.. Searched a lot for it but it isn't there yet. Honestly i think there will not come an official update since the lg optimus G has already received it(in the netherlands)

I think its the same like an OTA. May you wont get 4g option, but installing 4gswitch gives

and the last question : if i follow the instruction ,is there any chance to brick the phone ? i mean just open the lg flash tool ,put the phone in download mode ,choose the kdz file and then press cse ( for full flash and wipe ) and after i press start and wait till completed ,that should be all , right?
