Every week when I update my apps I got a insufficient disc space error, but all my apps are in external storage and I have some space in internal storage to download and install new apps.

I got this error even when I update small apps, less than 50mb.
I use default Sony Xperia S room.
Look, only 6 user apps are in internal storage
What I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Yuriê

This happens to me on my htc one x and xperia t so it is not a problem it just happens when the device memory (not internal sd card) is near full e.g about 300mb left

Hi @yuriebc, You're not doing anything wrong here. This is a well known bug in android, and there are many ways to fix it, but the easiest way is to clear cache and data for the play store. and then try updating your apps. Hit thanks if I helped.. :good: :fingers-crossed:
I cleared Google play and download manager data and cache files, but only get more15mb of free space.
What are the other ways to fix this?
Thanks!

it does exactly what it says:
if a file been deleted by accident or you decided to keep some photo you took but after deleting it ... with this app you will be able to simply restore it back.
tested it on my HOX, my wifes' SGS1, and it works just great !
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmJhbG9vdGEuZHVtcHN0ZXIiXQ..
give it a go, its a mandatory application on every android device !
But does it have a black hole like on PC? Once I had 100 GB hard disk and I had around 300 GB with **** in recycler bin. Does it work here too?

haven't noticed any additional directories on the storage after deleting some files... so i think that the "black hole" is not present here.

Windows doesn't delete any files it just makes the space the data is store as "writable" and all "writable" space is shown as "free space" in windows even if there is actually data stored there, the reason behind you being able to recover files after they have been deleted.
Also you can't have a 100 GB disk and "around 300 GB" of data stored in writable space just can't happen, unless you mean 1000 GB..... and even still that 300 GB of "****" would be classed as writable so the operating system will just write over it when that time comes.
I'm currently on the older AOKP Milestone 6 ICS rom and I'm having trouble installing APK's all of the sudden. Downloading straight from the market works fine, however if I try to install and older version of Google+ on APK it just keeps telling me I am out of space.
I have 9GB free on my internal storage and ~300MB free on my SD Card. However, if I look at storages in android settings I have 2 internal storages. The one that contains apps apparently only has 2GB total space and 676MB available. My SD card is there and then my actual internal storage is under it as well reporting an accurate 8GB free however it doesn't specify usage by apps, media, or etc. I don't know how to get the phone to use my REAL internal storage to install apps and media.
I tried following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846115 but it seems to only switch this imaginary 2GB internal storage and my SD card. And switching the "use internal storage for apps and media" option under storage management doesn't help either.

Nobody has any ideas?
Fresh rom install? I don't see why you can't install apps. You have space available. As for your internal sd storage not reading out like SD card and internal apps storage, that happens to me as well, on cm9 beta 1. Haven't figured out why, but haven't looked either.

Hi all,
I just went from full stock to ordroid 7.1.0. When I check my available space I see this.

Now I have lost a lot of space "overig". Is this maybe caused by previously installed games? And if so, how do I fully delete game data without fusing around in explorer?

No I think he means the 4.43 GB out of 6.76 GB
It's a little strange, cause the App space is at my phone (stock 2.17) is 2.11 GB and I have 1.28 GB available. So you have more space available then me on Stock ROM with 852 MB on Apps. I wouldn't worry at this moment. But you could ask at the Ordroid thread, why it's showing so much space and "Overige" section.
This is mine... But it seems ok
Hello everyone,
We all know that galaxy y has low internal memory..
So to increase internal memory we use link 2sd method..but we cannot link system apps directly..so here is trick to link system apps to sd card and to free more internal memory...
things needed:
1) rooted sgy
2) second partition on sd card
3) link 2SD installed
Link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/...e=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=link+2sd
4) file manager/browser
Link :https://play.google.com/store/apps/...oogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=rom+toolbox
(link is of rom toolbox lite..in which u have to use root browser)
Now..
steps:
1)check your internal memory :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2) now
Go to data/dalvik-cache/
And select all...
Then untick third party apps .dex files and untick
'[email protected]@[email protected]' and all '[email protected]@......dex'
Files.....
3) move all selected files to data/sdext2/dalvik-cache/ here
4)open link 2SD
5)press menu >> relink all application files....
6) and reboot your device...
First Reboot may take long time...
7) now check new internal memory..
8) it should show to all system apps like :
You are done........
Now to unlink system apps
Go to data/sdext2/dalvik-cache/and delete all files and reboot device....
Press thanks...

Hi!
I've updated my z1c to lollipop recently and I've occured a bug. Phone doesn't 'see' (recognize maybe?) my sd card I don't know what to do, it's annoying, but when I put out my card and put it right back in it shows me the access. The funny thing is that I can play songs in Walkman and I can see photos, but when for example I connect my phone to PC it shows me only internal memory. Anyone have the same thing?

I have the same problem , access to internal SD card denied with preerooted 270 rom. I had the same problem with Nordic and Baltic Had to go back with nandroid since phone was kinda useless. I guess the solution is really simple and hope someone smarter can point us in the right direction.
I really hope so, 'cause it's annoying
