I've installed the cyanogenmod beta rom on my defy. It works great, very fast and customizable... but since first boot I have randomly some problem with default gallery. Somethimes when I open the app, I get an error (sd not mounted) and it doesn't start if I don't reboot... Also if I try to use camera (after I try to open gallery) I get the same error. Rarelly default music player give me similar error. But with third part app I can access to both gallery and camera... for example with QuickPick I can view all the images on my sd and with CameraFX I can use camera without any problem...
Anyone gets this error? How I can solve? Wipe can help me? I try to format SD and to pass other images and songs but nothing changes...

You could try to wipe the data of the gallery (not the actual pictures/videos). It's somewhere in Settings -> Apps -> Manage apps (something like this). There you can select gallery and then something like wipe data (I don't know the english translation that's used on CM7).
I uninstall gallery with a root app manager, install a 3D gallery from market... for now seems that works...
ok gallery and camera don't work, I try also to wipe only camera and gallery data, but I don't solve...

try to backup your SD card on computer then format your SD card
It could be an error on the SD Card - format using FAT32 system if it`s the original 2GB
I've already tried this solution but doesn't work, I use an AData Class 6 8 gb...
moreover another defy of my friends gives to him similar problem with this rom (this defy crash randomly during video recording and in gallery)
also beta6 doesn't help me

The sd card error lies with the 3d gallery. Use titanium backup to remove it and use quickpic - a far better app anyway.

I have problem while saving photos/ videos to SD... I have CM 12 (now 12.1) from CM homepage and I can't save photos / videos to SD, there is just no option to select where to save files... I tried default camera app and google camera app, but still no succes..
When I tried original LP from sony, there was that option... where is problem or how to fix that?

Anyone experiencing huge app delays while launching? I takes sometimes upto 5 seconds to launch and app. One more thing is the google camera isnt working. It just shows, "cant connect to the camera". Can anybody plz guide me how to use battery optimization obtion in battery settings.whenever I add all apps to battery optimizations options it Gts resented back to no apps as soon as I leave that scree.Plz tell me when doze works and is there any specific way to make it work. Moreover , when battery saver is turned on , the phone doesn't lag as it used to on cm 12.1 due to underclock ,, it made me think if battery saver is working or not.

Is there anyone else facing issue when trying to install Facebook app from playstore? I can install the app and I do can install Facebook messenger but it always foreclosed even when I have give it all the permissions I can give to the app.

I have a problem, After i format SD card as Internal i can't access MTP, so i have to format SD card as portable again. But when i reboot to recovery twrp not working its stuck at Teamwin screen, But if i remove my sd card and try to reboot to recovery Means its reboot.
can i flash cm13.0 over cm12.0 R31 or it should be fresh installation clearing the system partitions?
Yeah sometimes some applications randomly disapears from app drawer and sd card disapears from recovery also and if you revert back recovery won't work properly you have to remove sd card to work recovery normally

Dirty flashed. Working fine after setting some options (sdcard selection) at first boot that's new w/ M.
already tried that, but can't find the file. and the funny thing is facebook work well without internet connection, atleast it didn't fc me on the login screen. but how i suppose to login w/o internet connection
t took time to load the app that moved to sd card. and i do face the issu with the twrp. but somehow magically it doesn't anymore. i can access external storage event after i format it as internal storage. the thing i do is i deleted the sd card partition using minitools. and inserted it to my phone while its off, turn on the phone. it will detect it as corrupt or not compatible, i forget what it says anyway. then i format it as portable storage. boot to tecovery and its detected. boot to system again format as internal, do the migrate thingy and reboot again. then after succesfully booted my curiousity tell me to boot to twrp. i do it and it still detected. but i factory reset my phone cuz of facebook agony and format my sd card again as portable. the good news is my sd card still detected in twrp. sorry for this long comment.
Long press the gear icon on quicksetting, wait till it vibrate and the plus icon appear. Don't press it yet. Swipe to left(or right) page of the quick setting and enable the enlarge first row(its already enabled but it doesn't enabled on that page, maybe this the cause why its always force closed). And cross your fingers.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. Steps to install:
1. Best to do a full wipe of data, cache and system if you want to guarantee no weird issues
2. Install ROM zip, you will get a warning about partition size change of system if its the first time you flash, just flash it a second time to confirm the change, this will erase your data partition!

-Mobile data fixed. But to get mobile data works need to manually turn on and off airplane mode.

can i install this directly over Omni 4.4.4 in TWRP?
i did a flash over Omni 4.4.4 after wiping system/data/cache in TWRP. when i try to flash linked gapps (latest v5.0 version) it fails due to "not enough space left". any ideas what i am doing wrong? is there a specific version you suggest OP?
Guys we need more space for /system partition. I will make /system to 900 mb but it needs to wipe data too?
In the next build i will add this patch too.

OmniRom is more basic so less bugs to expect.

i tried going back to OmniRom 6.0.1 from this CM13. i wiped system/data/cache but TWRP refuses to flash the Omnirom complaining newer build is installed! any ideas? is the OmniRom trying to flash an older TWRP or something? how do i get around it?
edit: i managed to flash Omni 4.4.4 instead and will upgrade from there.

Unfortunately during setup ( after the first boot ) the system crashes after setting the wifi password. It tries to establish a connection and suddenly reboots. And since it will boot into setup again ( and doesn't allow to skip this step either ) i had to flash down to cm11.
Also in the 04/11 version in the settings>buttons menu ( where you can turn off the hard keys or set their light on time ) tapping the last two tabs crashes the menu.
Guess it would only be half the fun without all kinds of weird bugs to encounter...
Same here. No luck with beta 1 nor with beta 2. Crashes in setup. So I went to lollipop in CM.

Ok, gave it another try. This time it didn't run into a reboot loop, but the setup is still shaky. After the update step it threw me right back to wifi selection, all in all three times, once with a "Google Play services stopped" message. But it worked after that. Still, that bug in Device Settings, causing a crash when tapping the RADIO or VIBRATION tab, remains.

On my note3 is also have to delete setupwizard - seems to be a cm bug that depending on circumstances may strike builds/derived roms.
Adoptive storage/internal sd card issues
Just wondering if there's any way to fully utilize adoptive storage on CM13? I have a 64GB sd-card that was successfully formatted as adoptive storage, but the tablet refuses to fully utilize the space (keeps downloading to the 1GB partition, constantly getting "running out of storage" warnings and can only move the apps to the internal SD card). I tried formatting the 64GB as portable storage, and it does not appear as a destination when trying to move apps (only internal 12GB appears).

I appreciate the idea, but what exactly will app that do? I'm unfamiliar with Swap and most of the terminology used in the description of the app. Plus, I'm really only wondering why the rom itself doesn't utilize the adopted storage when downloading/installing apps and only uses the "external" 12GB internal card.

Reboot, (see if the app even shows up), then try recording 4k, it's around 21 minute record time with stock internal storage, with the 256GB sdcard it should be much more

I managed to accomplish this on the note 5 but size limitations and no sdcard slot it sucked.Te note 7 camera was completely rewritten compared to the note 3,4 and 5 and I haven't had much time to play around with it on the note 7 to understand everything fully.

I understand it's off the subject. I downloaded the file and would test but… Are we even rootable yet? To my knowledge we are not. Atleast chainfire anyways. Is there a confirmed root method out yet?
I thought locked BL on Snap?
I do know people who have rooted, i do not know how they did it though
