My phone just shut down on me.. then restarted. Rebooted again. And when it came back online. All my apps were gone and my phone was reset like I just installed a new Rom... WTF..
I'm running the stock AT$T Rom..
Rooted de-bloated, with xposed framework,,, gravity box,,
Hks kernel...
With Fauxclock kernel controller...
I was running interactive governer Underclocked 100 mv..
Anyone else ever experience a random factory reset?,..

Hey guys so I am pretty new to rooting and am trying to put the KT747 kernel with FrostyJB_4.1.1-v4. there is a link in the FrostyJB_4.1.1-v4 thread for the kernel but I am not sure which one to use. FrostyJB_4.1.1-v4 works for me but when trying to flash kt747 when rebooting I just get the Samsung galaxy sIII screen and it won't go past it. I can fix it but any help here?
Any ideas?
How did you fix it? You might want to redownload and check md5. You could have had a bad download.

Try downloading the latest kernel from the Ktoonz thread. Just make sure its the Touchwiz Jellybean kernel. Shoud have "JB" and "TW" in the file name

well using this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1871946 it says it does not work with l17 or greater? I tried flashing it but kttweaker just crashes and its restarted my phone a couple of times.
Should I just put frosty jelly bean m3 on and then do it or ?
Use frosty v4. Make sure tou have the ktoonz tw jb kernel. Flash rom go through the setup. Reboot to recovery flash ktoonz wipe cache/dalvik then fix permissions. Reboot download setcpu or any cpu tuner open it first change min/max then open ktweaker otherwise tou will get force close on ktweaker. After opening ktweaker uninstall the other. Should work for ya.

on this same matter, i am running Frosty JB v7 on my phone, and everytime i try flashing ktoons, my phone refuses to boot after install. It shows the initial "Samsung Galaxy s III" then screen goes dark, and instead of doing the animation and showing the samsung logo, it stays on a dark screen and i hear the sound, but no image ever comes up on the screen. After a few seconds the back and menu buttons light up and stay like that. nothing else happens.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help.
I flashed it using CWM recovery and cleared Cache and Dalvik after flashing, and then fixed permissions.

Frosty is based on l6-l7. The older ktoonz kernels work. The new ones are based on the source for li8. There is a link in the frosty thread for one of the older kernels if you search for it

Thank you, with that older version now everything is going well so far. I had a few force closes on xda when trying to reply you, but clearing app data and cache and reinstalling did the trick. Onto long term experience now to see how everything goes o/

I did that and it didn't work then I flashed the stock 3.0.21 kernel and now only the front face camera work's works.

Hi everyone.
I got xperia arc as second phone.
I had many roms and kernels instaled good.
Then i instaled paranoid and his kernel.
Phone start to bootloop, sometimes he turn on and work (very long time to turn on) and then wifi stop to work (after few hours) and only solution is to restart.
And then same problem.
3x bootloop..fourth time i turned it on he work.
Then i instaled viper rom v5 and vengence kernel, same problems happend.
Then i tryed with rush kernel and again same problem.
So i revert it to stock rom and kernel and everything works awesome.
So i tryed to instal viper rom once again, and same problem returned (with third kernel)..
So i think something about kernel is problem, but i just don't know.
Can anyone explain or try to give me solution for fixing problems.

i had same problem and i contacted the dev of PA. he suggested me this and after that my problem was solved.i am going to paste over here what he told me.
just delete the bootanimation.zip from /system/media and it will work fine

Only kernels built for your phone will work. That is why you have this issue. You cannot flash other kernels for different phones, no matter how similar they are.
I believe mysteryemotionz kernel will work. his kernel is for At&t optimus g. ask around in there and check 1st.

At&t Optimus G camera is 8mp , not 13mp .
If i use mysteryemotionz's kernel , rear camera is not working ...
can I to modify system files(mount path or other) for internal sdcard working ?

Why a new thread to ask about a problem on a custom rom?ask there please. These demigod crashes appear when some app tries to acces an unavailable resource. Example : when i tried to open the radio on cm rom,with spirit UL, i got the demigod crash kernel error.There could be a hundred reasons for your error.

My advice is to go on stock,root,unlock and use xposed to customize it.
Now, any custom rom is below stock .
But Ive noticed a bigger difference with a custom os then stock I'm running slimrom now and its great but I don't get that crash on this rom
